Super Chewer Peanut Butter and Carob Stick, 1.5 oz  - Retail Value $3

Dear readers - I'm in trouble. I swear, the second I open a new Super Chewer box, this is what Archie expects to receive first! They're still one of my favorite items in the box to give him; they smell nice, they keep him busy for a few minutes, and I feel like they're made from simple, pure, ingredients. They're a total winner all around. Also, the linked product above is the same as the one I received; the packaging in the BarkShop is just a bit different.

Super Chewer May Hyper Space SP Stick

Sweet Potato Stick, 1.5 oz - Retail Value $3

When my husband and I first decided to adopt Archie, it was kind of a whirlwind, and I didn't have many expectations of myself as a pet owner, honestly. I didn't really think about it. What I ended up being glad about, is that John and I celebrate a lot of dates for our sweet puppy; his birthday, his gotcha day, and holidays. Over the past 16 months, we give Archie something really special to mark these days; sometimes fresh turkey, sometimes filet (he's so spoiled, I know), and what he tends to love most - sweet potatoes! This chew is a great way to give him a real treat full of one of his favorite flavors.

Planetoid Toy - Retail Value $14

What a cool toy this month! The treat dispensing ones are especially fun because they keep Archie so busy. I'll fully admit I'm not sure if I loaded this correctly with the lamb treats that came in this box (more on those in just a second), but Archie had a hard time retrieving them, which added extra play time for him! The bouncy, unexpected movement really seems to delight him, and it's nice and lightweight so I feel good about him playing with it, knowing he won't be wrecking the entire household.

Light Year Lamb Treats, 4 oz. - Retail Value $5

As I tend to say month after month, the smallest treats are usually my favorite - I try to work on Archie's manners as often as possible, and I use small treats to encourage good habits! Lately my cat has been extra-affectionate with me, and extra-tolerate of Archie, which she usually is not. I've been using these treats to keep him occupied when she's near, so that he's not quite so spastic when she's nearby, thanks to the lavender and camomile in these morsels. It's been working beautifully, and it seems like they're getting along better and better, which makes my heart so, so happy.

Dog Star Toy - Retail Value $14

This looks to be another treat toy, but I think with this heat, I might try freezing some peanut butter in there for him! It's been so hot, and my best guy realllllly loves to lick. It releases endorphins for dogs, and Archie in particular seems to find major comfort from the action. Freezing things like broth and/or peanut butter is a great way to make it last longer, and of course, in these hotter months, is a nice way to keep a pup nice and cool. The plastic on this toy is nice and hard, so there's no fear that Archie will destroy it, thankfully.

Planet Pork Dog Treats, 4 oz. - Retail Value $5

Bacon plus pumpkin equals happy dog! These are a little larger than the lamb treats, but the thin shape makes these easy to tear, shape, and stuff into toys, meaning they're really versatile bites for toys, training, and tempting my pup.

Verdict: Super Chewer continues to deliver the goods for me and Archer with really durable, interesting toys, delicious treats, and his favorite chewies. I'm sure I'm not blowing anyone's mind by saying that 2020 has been a very strange year, with lots of things to get used to, but the time I spend with my dog has really been keeping me glued together in the face of all the craziness. Arch and I like to hang out in our backyard with his toys every day when I'm done with work, and that time we spend is so precious to me now. I don't know what I would do without it! He's been my dog for 16 months (!), and I keep waiting for the novelty of having a dog/his cuteness to wear off, or feel different, but every day with him feels like a new adventure, and having new toys and treats to spoil him with enriches our relationship and makes our time together way more fun. I can't wait to see what we can play with next!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Nope, you'll likely get the August box. Customer Care let us know that your first box will now always be either their Welcome Box or the current month’s box, followed by the normal schedule the following month.

Value Breakdown: At $29/month + free shipping for this box, each of the 6 items has an average cost of $4.83.
