We know you love our monthly favorites posts so here's our monthly post highlighting our favorite BEAUTY discoveries from subscription boxes! Here are our favorite skincare, green beauty, and makeup items from the past month:

Megan's Favorite:

The Item: Tula Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm

The Cost: $28.00

From: BoxyLuxe

Why I love it: My sleep cycle is a hot mess right now and for the first time I am seeing dullness and shadows under my eyes. This balm is such an easy fix for these issues. A simple swipe and a few pats of my fingertips and that delicate skin is feeling cool, tight, and bright.

Christen's Favorite:

Evio Lip Gloss from Love Goodly

The Item: Evio Beauty Lip-spo Gloss in Val

The Cost: $11

From: Love Goodly

Why I love it: This color is so lovely for everyday wear and low-key social situations. I am one to avoid lip gloss if it feels even the slightest bit sticky, but this one is really smooth. I also received a lip liner of the same shade in my Love Goodly box, and loved the way they looked and felt when worn together.

Ragan's Favorite:

The Item: All Good SPF 30 Mineral Sport Sunscreen

The Cost: $15.99 for 3 fl oz

From: Vegancuts Beauty

ACTIVE DEAL: $40 off. No coupon needed - just use this link.

Why I love it: For some reason, a lot of the beauty items I received in June were not good fits for my skin or scent preferences. But this worked for me -- I pretty much exclusively use mineral sunscreens, since I have some sensitivities to chemical sunscreens. It is also a practical item for me since I am spending a bit more time outside with my puppy these days, and because I am not wearing makeup since I'm working from home. It was also a new brand and much of the fun from subscription boxes for me is the discovery aspect.

Naomi's 3 Favorites:

Kiss Professional Pro Touch Glow & Bronze Cream Front for Cocotique June 2020

The Item: KISS PROFESSIONAL PRO TOUCH Glow & Bronze Cream

The Cost: $6.99

From: Cocotique

Why I love it: I love this Glow & Bronze Cream because let’s face it, with quarantine, I am basically a house troll. I don’t go out much and I don’t want to work super hard to not look like a bag lady. I pop some of this on my bare skin with a little mascara and some lip gloss, and I have a natural look and a luminous glow. During this last month, this product has functioned as a foundation/BB cream for me. I’m loving the simplicity this cream provides to my routine.

essenHERB Tea Tree Foam Cleanser Front for Ipsy Glam Bag June 2020

The Item: ESSENHERB Tea Tree Foam Cleanser

The Cost: $3.00 (Full-size 150 mL $16.00)

From: Ipsy Glam Bag

Why I love it: This ESSENHERB Tea Tree Foam Cleanser is gone, gone, gone! I used every last bit of it. Not only am I obsessed with K-beauty products but I love anything that will treat sensitive, blemish-prone skin. This product has a natural scent that reminds me of a day at the spa, and with tea tree oil in the formula, it was perfect for combating my summertime breakouts. I’m definitely purchasing this product and making it a staple in my skincare routine.

Mask for Brown Sugar Box June 2020

The Item: Izzy & Liv Masks! Masks! Mask!

The Cost: $7.99

From: Brown Sugar Box

ACTIVE DEAL: Save 20% off your first box!
CODE: FIRSTTIME20

Why I love it: This reusable, washable mask has been a game changer for me this month. Having to wear a mask everywhere can get tiring and the single-use surgical masks are uncomfortable and not fashionable. This 100-percent polyester interlock fabric has super comfortable ear straps and the inside is soft and gentle against the skin of my face. My chapstick still gets stuck to the inside, but this mask is washable, so I can wash and reuse it as many times as I need to and not feel like I’m killing the planet. Also, the playful design of women with colorful afros makes me feel cute while breathing like Darth Vader in the supermarket.

Brandi's Favorite:

The Item: Sunny Days Ahead Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL

The Cost: Listed Value $18.00

From: Wicked Good Perfume

ACTIVE DEAL: Save 15% off your first month
CODE: MSA15

Why I love it: While I could have easily chosen any of the items from this month’s box, I especially love the uplifting scent of this roller! It’s a blend of magnolia, mimosa, plum, lily, carnation, musk, and sandalwood.  First I get the bright plum and tart mimosa notes which are fresh and juicy and then all of the florals come out with just a hint of the musk and sandalwood at the finish. It’s like walking through the woods with sweet fragrant fruits and flowers blooming all around you. It’s cheery and vibrant and it pairs so well with the other products I received in my box for a beautiful layering of scents!

Abby's Favorite:

The Item: Honestly pHresh Sea Mineral Prebiotic Deodorant

The Cost: Estimated Value $3.11 (Buy 2.25 oz for $9.99)

From: Target Beauty Box “Beauty Trendsetters”

Why I love it: Target Beauty Box is no longer with us, but it went out with a bang. I really loved the last box they sent out, which included this deodorant sample. It is tough finding a natural deodorant that isn't too heavily fragranced that can beat the heat, but this really put up a good fight. I wore this every day since I got it, and when I ran out, I had to place a Target order for a new one.

Note: The Target Beauty Box has come to an end! See our post here for more info.

Jessica's Favorite:

The Item: A’Pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel

The Cost: $27.50

From: PinkSeoul Plus

ACTIVE DEAL: Save 10% off your first box!
CODE: MSA10

Why I love it: I love the A’Pieu Madecassoside line as a whole, and this gel moisturizer is something I’ve been reaching for frequently ever since my skin started to get irritated along my mouth and jaw- AKA, where I wear my mask! This does leave a sticky residue so I always follow it up with a sleeping mask or oil, but it does a great job at soothing my sensitive skin.

Haley's Favorite:

Tarte Create Your Own Beauty Kit June 2020 foundation

The Item: tarte Face Tape Foundation

The Cost: $39

From: tarte Create Your Own Beauty Kit

Why I love it: Of course, I had to grab tarte’s newest foundation! This is Face Tape, named after their cult best-selling product, the Shape Tape concealer. This foundation is definitely full coverage! I think it does a good job of what tarte advertises: full coverage without the full feel. It feels natural on my skin and, even with my dry complexion, it doesn’t look flaky or weirdly textured, just a pretty natural finish. They also have a large number of color and undertone shades, which is great. It stayed solid throughout the day, too, and I didn’t notice any patches that had worn off by the end of the day.

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.

My teen daughter received the ESSENHERB Tea Tree Foam Cleanser in her Ipsy bag and she absolutely loves it! She gets very few breakouts, however, she used this in the shower and when she came out her face was positively glowing! It smells nice too. We are buying the full size also.😁

Love the diversity this month! I see some higher-end products, some “drugstore” products, some indie products, & some products available from major retailers.
