Look Fantastic June 2020 Review

It looks like for the time being there will not be an info booklet inside the box but instead, it will arrive via email.

Shangpree Aroma Blend Calming Mask - Estimated Value $3.33 (Buy 10 for $33.30)

Of course I was excited to see a mask with both neroli and chamomile inside! The sweet orange flower scent is soft but noticeable while you wear this sheer and comfortable mask. The serum is plentiful and clear, and a little messy! My skin felt so refreshed and soft after wearing this sheet, and there was enough serum in the pouch still to rub on my neck.

GLOV Hair Brush

This is the sort of brush that my hair will just laugh at, because I need longer and stronger bristles to really get through my hair. This was nice to use in sections while I was applying a leave-in conditioner though, and the bristles feel really nice on my scalp. The domed shape fits perfectly in the palm of your hand!

Molton Brown Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel Bath & Shower Gel, 100 mL - Estimated Value $10.67 (Buy a full-size 300 mL for $32.00)

I am a big fan of Molton Brown products and I am in good company, too! The Queen herself has her home stocked with this brand, which was awarded a Royal Warrant as suppliers of her toiletries. Fancy! This scent is one I have tried before and it is super refreshing in a seaside vacation sort of way. Not the tiki bar and daiquiri sort of seaside, but the kind with lighthouses and a little bit of a chill in the breeze. The notes of salt and sea are more than a little masculine but in the very best way! It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.

Ultrasun Lip Balm SPF 30, 4.8 g - Full Size! Retail Value $9.60

Most of you know I am a sunscreen addict but even I have to admit that a good sunscreen lip balm is hard to find. They often look chalky or have a terrible taste. This tube has neither and boasts SPF 30 protection! It feels downright moisturizing on my lips and has just the faintest sunscreen sort of scent and a matte finish. This is a big win for my lips this summer!

Josh Wood Color Everything Mask, 30 mL - Estimated Value $5.14 (Buy 140 mL for $24.00)

For those of you who enjoy the pool and the ocean a lot in the summer, a hair mask like this is exactly the sort of booster you need to combat salt or chlorine. I don't really see much of the beach or pool, but my hair is dry naturally, so even my tresses can benefit from a big-time nourisher like this. It is a formula that is made to work with any hair type and locks in color for those of you who dye your hair. The cream itself is on the heavier side but easy to comb through your hair. Leave it on for 5 minutes and prepare for shiny and soft hair!

Polaar Very High Protection Sun Cream SPF 50+, 20 mL - Estimated Value $11.72 (Buy a full-size 50 mL for $29.30)

Our last item is another sunscreen, which suits me just fine! This one is a mighty SPF 50, so perfect for those days you know you will be getting extra sun exposure. I am really happy to report that this formula is untinted, which means it should work for more people. There is a lot good to say about this formula: it is alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and dermatologist tested. It also absorbs easily without any white residue! Win!

The Verdict: This was a slightly different Look Fantastic Beauty Box and it felt fresh and new for the brand. The overall value wasn't massive, landing somewhere close to $40.46 without the brush, but the quality of the items and the super cool carrying bag make it feel like a higher value. Despite the lower value, everything inside was a win for me other than the brush, but Will has hijacked it anyways because it feels like a scalp massage. I thought the overall theme here was very summery and I like how there was a teal sort of vibe which made the curation feel extra special. Hopefully next month will be just as fresh but with a higher value overall!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. A pre-order for the July box is currently available! (The June box is sold out. This page will let you know which box is currently available.)

Value Breakdown: At $19.00 for this box, each of the 6 items has an average cost of $3.17.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I love your reviews of the LF boxes!! The amazing photos made me want to subscribe to the boxes even more. I regret not starting earlier seeing what amazing boxes they had but subscribed now from July and will continue for a while ♥️ as for me, for a person that never ordered beauty boxes before, this one is really affordable and amazing! Can’t wait for your July box review 💕

I received my box today and the actual bag is smaller than I thought it would be. Definitely a cute bag that will be useful for getting through TSA security when I return to traveling.
Unfortunately, the scent of the Molton Brown shower gel isn’t to my liking. I really enjoyed the Bergamot and Mandarin Orange one they shipped last year. If swaps comes back up I will be looking for someone to swap with.
Whoever suggested using the comb as a cat Brush is a genius! Perfect for my 19-year-old British Short-Hair. My hair is very thick and knotty and I am in love with the Oui Please hairbrush they sent last year. Thanks for the cat Brush idea!
I am looking forward to trying the new products. I hope everyone loves theirs.

I received an email saying that they forgot to send the Polar sunscreen in my box, but they are sending it out to me right away. This was a nice heads up since I haven’t gotten the box yet. I am really excited about the Molton Brown, I love every time LF includes their washes.
Strangely, this month, my Subscription switched from monthly to 6-month…without me making any change. I only noticed because the price is cheaper than normal, so I went in and looked at my account. I didn’t make the change. I am okay with it since I love this box and I know I will be keeping it, just thought that was strange.

Megan, curious if you’ve gotten the online brochure yet. I’m thinking the brush probably has a RV of about $12 based upon the tangleteaser prices – But I’m guessing they are counting the bag as part of the RV. It looks nice and they have never included a bag before…

I subscribed for the first time just because I saw that pouch in an ad. 😍 It reminds me of the super expensive Truffle cosmetic bags. Totally worth it for me for that alone, even if I don’t end up liking any of the products.

I’m still waiting for my box. This is my 1st box and I cant wait to try the #molton brown body wash… I’m so excited. I cancelled my other boxes and only have this box, my allure and my boxycharm premium..

Darn, I’m bummed I missed this box. I’m glad those that are getting it will enjoy it.

The brush looks similar to a tangle teezer which I use for myself and for my cats. (They have their own, lol) The cats love it because it feels like a good scratch and it pulls out a ton of loose fur.

I use Tangle teasers for my cat as well! They work so well I bought them for family members with cats as well!

Great idea! My cat will love to finally get something from one of my beauty boxes for herself 😉 She loves watching me unbox my boxes then looks in the empty shipping box for a minute then at me like Where’s my cut? then ditches me, lol.

Alice

I’m going to use mine for my cats!

Great idea! I used it on my hair last night but it may end up being a cat brush. LOL! My hair isn’t super thick, but it is wavy, so the brushing wasn’t as smooth as I wanted.

This is an impressive box Look Fantastic, IMO. I usually don’t even give them a second glance.

I use a similar brush in the shower to scrub in my shampoo to try & save my nail polish, lol.

I’m pretty sure that brush is for massaging your scalp in the shower. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Hair+Massage+Brush

It’s supposed to remove product buildup and stimulate hair growth.

I have a new scalp brush from Briogeo, a Therapy Massager. It feels good in the shower. I imagine this would do the same thing.

Reminds me of the smaller-sized makeup bag that was in my May MINTD Box. Looking forward to receiving my Look Fantastic box. I’ll compare it to the MINTD box.

Megan, great review as always! Can you (or MSA readers who received this box) please compare the size of the pouch to carry on liquid bag size? I would love to use it for that purpose!

Anna

I meant to order this because I really wanted the bag.

Mine is on the way. Can’t wait. It’s always a great box for me, and the quality case this month is an extra treat.

I adore the curation of this month’s LF box! The clear bag is awesome to use when either traveling or to store items for future use, like sunscreen or sheet masks, especially as you can easily see the bag’s contents vs fumbling through bags, blindly.
I strictly only use clear bags/ pouches to carry toiletries when I travel now & it’s really helped.

This one does feel really well curated. I’m impressed. I like the variety of items. They’re all usefully for summer and not just a bunch of super common items.

The pouch is really cute. Nice to see a pouch instead of a box just to break things up a bit. This pouch is on the way to me and should be here Monday. I am really excited for it to get here

Mine is on its way; I can’t wait! The pouch also got me to subscribe even though I have so many already!

Sara

Looks like a cute and decently curated month!
I would have preferred a less masculine MB scent and to have a mineral sunscreen but that’s not a complaint just personal choice. Thumbs up! 🙂

JuJu

The sunscreen does appear to be mineral.

The pouch is really cute! I’m looking forward to receiving mine. I have a ton of pouches from various beauty boxes (I’m looking at you, Ipsy) and I don’t know what I will do with this one, but I like it. I will probably use it for travel toiletries when we get back to traveling.
Thanks for another great review!
