Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. Each month you get full-size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.
This is one of Liz’s top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box - the value and sample sizes are amazing. (Check out our list of the best beauty boxes for 2020 and our reviews of Cheap Subscription Boxes for more recommendations!)
(FYI – Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month – so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!)

Hanalei Sheet Mask Pair in Pineapple and Pear, set of 2 - Estimated Value $8.00 (Buy 10 for $40.00)
I have always done a lot of sheet masks, but since I am working from home, I feel like I do even more! This is a set of two fruit-inspired formulas, both of which feel pretty unusual for sheet masks! I can't say I have ever had a pear sheet mask and I can think of maybe only 1 or 2 pineapples ones I have tried. Though these were made in Korea, they are inspired by Hawaiian beauty. The shape of the mask was a good fit on my face and they were both covered in a plentiful amount of clear serum. These were both really lovely after some time in the sun, especially after half an hour in the fridge.
Suntique I'm Pure Perfect Cica SPF 50 Cream, 15 ml - Estimated Value $7.20 (Buy a full-size 50 ml for $24.00)
I am all about sunscreen season (spoiler, all year is sunscreen season) and I have been getting some really great samples so far this year! This Korean-made formula combines 2 of my greatest loves: cica and SPF. Cica is great if your skin is prone to redness or reactivity, and the SPF 50 is awesome if you burn easily (but also still great even if you don't). I think we can all agree that one of the main reasons we might not be faithful sunscreen users is that most of them just feel really bad on our faces. Greasy, shiny, ew, no. This is a great example of a formula that feels a lot more like a normal daily moisturizer. It doesn't leave any icky film behind, so you are protected and happy. And the full size is a super affordable $24! Count me in, adding to cart.
Pacifica Cherry Gold Highlighter and Blush - Buy the complete palette for each powder here and here for $18.00 each
Pacifica makes some really great powders and this duo is so pretty! The 'Rose Gold' shade is a pinkish gold highlighter with a lot of fire! Seriously, the swatch below is heavy and you barely need anything on the end of your brush to snatch your cheekbones and nose with that good sort of artificial sunlight! The blush is also just a great shade: a soft earthy pink with a very subtle glow. It is actually a shame these two shades come as members of entirely different palettes because together they are such a winning combination. The back of this compact is a big mirror, too!
LOVE these.
Eddie Funkhouser Domed Blending Brush - Retail Value $11.00
This little black brush doesn't seem to really go with anything else inside the bag, though I highly recommend trying both of those Pacifica shades out as eyeshadows if you also received them! This is a solid little blending brush with a soft domed head. It is great for getting inside your crease and adding soft dimension.
Pop Beauty Pout on Point! Lip Liner in 'Risque Rose', 0.35 g - Full Size! Retail Value $6.00
Finally, our last item is a little triangle-shaped wedge-style lip liner. The shade is a potter's sort of pink, like if terracotta and a rose had a very pretty baby. It is a matte finish and works great as a liner, though I liked it all over my lips even better. It has that true matte finish but without the dryness that often comes with liquid matte formulas.
Pretty!
Verdict: This was one of my fave Ipsy Glam Bag assortments! Though the spoilers for this bag were totally different in my Ipsy app (no clue what happened there) I liked this assortment even better, so happy accident! Everything in here will be used happily, and I especially am thrilled with that powder duo from Pacifica. Though the overall value is hard to calculate since I could not verify everything, this bag has an estimated value of at least $32.20 even without my powder duo, making it a nice value for $12.
