FaceTory 7 Lux June 2020 Review

Now on to the masks!

Dewytree Cica 100 Mask - Retail Value $3.00

I am a big cica fan because my skin tends to have redness and this ingredient really helps! This mask has a weird but not unpleasant scent and is rather slimy and drippy. All of this combines for a mask that feels incredible on the face and fits well. Since it is 100% centella asiatica extract, it absorbs like a dream and left my skin feeling calm and refreshed.

Yadah Under the Sea Mask Pack - Listed Value $3.50

My face tends to enjoy anything that has to do with seaweed, so this sea-inspired mask was one I was excited to try. The 100% cotton mask material itself is quite thick, but it still fits the face well. Loads of serum here with extracts of algae and chlorella, both calming and anti-aging.

Elishacoy Lift-Up Mushroom Mask Sheet - Retail Value $3.00

I'm also a mushroom fan, so pretty thrilled to see a shroomy mask inside this month. This one is black truffle-infused, so it feels earthy AND fancy! There is also copper tripeptide in here, which is an anti-inflammatory superstar. This felt super moisturizing and very "outdoorsy" in a very sheet mask sort of way.

Purenskin My Desire Paradise Pack - Retail Value $2.50

Florals, mushrooms, and seaweed? Dang, this month is killing it. This mask has a soft floral scent and is gooey, in the best way! The sheet material is fabric but it feels like it has a gel texture that feels super nice on. Inside there are floral extracts that moisturize and balance skin for brightness.

HaruHaru Honey Green Aqua Mask - Retail Value $3.00

Green tea is one of my favorite ingredients in any skincare formula and this mask has a tea ferment combined with honey. This means loads of antioxidants and moisture for my dry face. I also found this mask to be super softening to my face and it gave me a smoother-looking complexion for the entire day.

Holika Holika Watermelon Mask Sheet - Retail Value $3.00

Summertime is watermelon time! This mask smells just like a warm summer watermelon and the lightweight serum was really refreshing, especially since I stored it in the fridge for about an hour before I wore it! This formula also has apple extract which gently exfoliates the skin without irritating it.

Lassie’el Real Vitamin C Powder Mask - Retail Value $5.00

This is a cool three-part mask that you activate by rolling the packaging which pops and releases an ampoule into a vitamin C powder, into the sheet mask! Vitamin C is a brightening ingredient for skin and it has also been shown to fade dark spots. I think that is less potent in a mask than in a more long term cream, but hey, every little bit helps!

This month arrived with a full-size bonus product too!

Elishacoy Oil-Cut Mist, 80 mL - Retail Value $15.00

I love love love mists! I received the Oil-Cut formula (the other option was a balancing pH formula) and it is a two-part mist you shake to activate. It basically helps to balance out oil and dryness on your face, which I found to be true! It was really refreshing and also moisturizing, but seemed to somehow also zap away excess T-zone oil.

MYSTERY BONUS MASK:

BRTC Make Over Mask, Empress - Retail Value $3.00

This was a printed mask that dried out super fast and had a nice and genetic mask scent. It was printed with a snake headdress and blue eyeshadow. The mask itself didn't fit super well because the areas of print felt stiff.

Verdict: FaceTory had so many awesome ingredients and extracts this month! Literally all the good stuff: watermelon, seaweed, green tea, cica, mushrooms, flowers, and more! This is one of my favorite assortments from this sub ever. I also loved that they included such a nice face mist and even a bonus mask. This is such a fun subscription and even more so now that I WFH and I can just wear masks anytime I want when I am not on a Zoom meeting!

I loved this months mask assortment as well. The Cica was by far my favorite. It made my skin so glowy. I was a bit disappointed in the mist because the first ingredient is alcohol which means it will go nowhere near my dry skin. Wonder if it would work as a hand sanitizer? Lol
