Animal Trackers Club Review - June 2020

Before we get started on the contents of this shipment, I wanted to highlight a few items that we received in our Introductory Box that we also used for this month.

Please note the following items did NOT come in this box:

Animal Trackers Lunchbox

We received this cute tin lunchbox featuring Bode Bear and the Animal Trackers logo which is perfect for storing all of our animal gear each month as we collect it. It will also double as a place to play with our animal magnets!

Animal Tracks Card Ring

This is our Animal Tracks card ring. Each month we will receive an animal photo and track card that we can add to this ring as we discover new animals.

Animal Coloring Card

This animal coloring card will be used to track which animals we've already explored and which are still to come!

Now let's see what we received this month!

We received this colored photograph of a vulture with a picture of what its tracks look like on the back of our card. It is printed on thicker cardstock and has a hole at the top corner for us to easily add this to our Animal Tracks ring.

We marked off which animal we received on our coloring card and then added the vulture card to our ring.

We received this fun vulture magnet to add to our lunchbox.

He loves playing with the magnets he has collected and adding each one to his lunchbox!

This month's toy is a fun one and the vulture actually stands up and has a lot of nice detail. He is super excited to have a bird for his toy animal collection since this is one animal that he doesn't already have!

Here he is making it fly.

They always include a foam mask and this one is a bit eery looking to me, but he thought it was cool!

He had fun pretending to be a vulture!

We received this thicker half sheet of paper full of facts all about vultures. The back features some longer sentences about the vultures while the front features color images and some quick facts that are fun to look at. It fits right inside our lunchbox for easy storage, too!

They usually include some educational worksheets and this month they included a V-word find worksheet. It's a little advanced for my son, but it will be a great one to have on hand when he starts reading!

Since vultures are scavengers, they included this activity that we had a lot of fun with. They provide four days worth of scavenging lists for us to use. The lists consist of some household items that are pretty specific like a black sock or some orange food, making it even more fun!

He had so much fun flying around the house pretending to be a vulture and "scavenging" the items for Day 1 as fast as he could!

Our craft this month was bringing to life this colorful illustration of a vulture by adding various foam pieces over top of it.

This was great for fine motor development and concentration! He enjoyed putting it together and it was just a little bit tricky with some of the smaller pieces, but he was able to complete it mostly independently!

Here is his finished vulture picture. He is happy to have some artwork to hang up!

Verdict: This month's Animal Trackers Club box was really fun. I love that our animal was a somewhat unique one that you don't see often, and I especially loved that they created a fun activity based around one of the main characteristics of this animal. My son loved scavenging for items and he also enjoyed putting together his vulture picture. The toy, magnet, and mask are all great collectibles for him, too! Overall, I think this is a great box - it's educational and fun and I love that it's relatively inexpensive at $16.95 ($13.95 + $3.00 shipping). It also brings my son a lot of joy and excitement, which definitely adds to the value!

To Wrap Up:

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!
