April 2020 MoonBox “The Teacher” Review

Every month, MoonBox sends a box guide full of info for keeping up with the stars and moon cycles as well as plenty of rituals to follow.

Moons of Taurus Calendar

This month celebrates Taurus season, a perfect time to be open and reconnect. The green background is a perfect representation of this earth sign's transition into the spring season! This calendar reveals the moon cycle of Taurus season with a bull, Taurus' symbol, front and center.

Ree-defined Crystal PopSocket

I have been hoping to receive a PopSocket inside a subscription box, and my hopes were exceeded with this unique crystal piece. Every time I pick up my phone I admire the pretty purple hues. I wasn't sure if it would stick to my rubber phone case, but I haven't had any problems yet. Ree-defined's website is under construction, so I linked their Instagram above.

Lauryn's Garden Anti-Viral Pocket Hand Sanitizer, 0.4 fl oz - Retail Value $8

What a great and practical inclusion! Nowadays you can't have too much of this stuff, and this feels like a classy upgrade from the Purell I've been dousing my hands with. I love this sleek, pocket-sized golden spray bottle. Made with organic 71% ethanol alcohol and bergamot essential oil, this spray will keep your hands germ free.

Stay Lit Mini Meditation Sticks, 7 ct - Buy a small pack of 40-50 sticks for $5.55

Incense always reminds me of my youth. I can't help but go back to Nature's Habitat in my mind, picking out loose incense sticks, leafing through the overpriced wolf T-shirts, and sticking my hands inside the huge display of crystals. Oh, nostalgia! These sticks all have that similar incense fragrance, and I am very attracted to the rainbow of color! Each stick has approximately 10 minutes of burn time, which is just enough time for the fragrance to waft through my house. These sticks do not have stems, so I ended up sticking one end into a candle that had burnt out.

B Prosperity Body Butter, 30 ml - Listed Value $15

This body butter solid is the first I've ever seen. When I think of body butter, I imagine something I can dip my fingers into, but this moisturizer is hard. I scraped a little off, working it into my cuticles, and it did a nice job of hydrating. This will be nice to stow away in a small purse for hydration on the go.

Labradorite

This month's crystal is magical; the blues, greens, and oranges light this stone up from every angle. Labradorite's significance for Taurus season is that it keeps this earth sign dreaming when they often have a tendency to be too enveloped in material things and more practical thoughts.

The Verdict: MoonBox's "The Teacher" Box for April had a really practical yet luxurious vibe to it (perfect for any Taurus!). The PopSocket is unique and so useful while the hand sanitizer was definitely an awesome addition as well. The value of this box usually just about meets its subscription cost, and if you're someone who loves astrology and crystals, then this is a great box to treat yourself with each month.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you'll likely receive the May box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.00 + $2.75 shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $7.35.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.
