Just a quick note to let people know that spoilers #1 and #2 are up on Globein’s facebook page in case you’re interested. The theme for June is “Self Care” and they said they are going to have four new boxes for the month of June.

ok. Looks like I’m not the only one who has had problems. I think MSA should write a disclaimer on all their posts for this company if customer service is so poor and people don’t receive what they order. If I’d known that I would not have signed up!

Jen

I agree that a disclaimer that the featured box is limited edition would be appropriate. Couldn’t disagree with you more that customer service is “so poor” because over the years they have always, always come through for me. Once I was shipped a broken teacup and once the wrong serving dish, they promptly shipped me new ones. What more do you expect them to do?

Not sure if anyone will see tonight, but I wanted to share that selections opened today at 9pm! I hope you all are able to choose something you really like.

Anyone ever bought a surprise box from this company? Is it junk?

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon

Almost everything I ever got from GI was junk. If you mean the surprise monthly box, it will be the Bathe Box, or the hydrate box. Always!

If you mean the mystery boxes, they’re just full of random overpriced leftover inventory that didn’t sell. Not worth the money unless you get crazy lucky! I learned the hard way.

I’ve been a subscriber for two years and have received zero things I’ve received that I’d call junk. At worst, I’ve received items I didn’t have a use for that I was able to give away to someone who had a use for it. I use my Malika mugs and dinner plates daily, and have serving bowls, my recycled cotton blanket, my peshtemal towel and hand towel, some toys (felted finger puppets, wooden labyrinth), adorable planters, hanging bells, recycled sari silk headbands, some brass jewelry (that does need cleaning because brass tarnishes), rooibos tea — these are just the things around my home that spring to mind first. I’ve had my share of delivery issues, which were all resolved by contacting customer service. My April box arrived yesterday a month late, but I’m willing to let that go because of COVID-19-related shipping issues. It’s a massive stretch to call GlobeIn’s products junk. How many times have you requested a “surprise” box in order to determine that you’ll always receive Bathe and Hydrate? I always pick a theme anyway.

I’ve bought many boxes from them years ago and I still use many of the items in my household. I had an issue with a broken item and they sent a replacement right away. I’d say it’s totally worth it. Also if you have a subscription you get a discount on past boxes and items.

Hi Holly,

I am getting the “Prep” box soley for the rainbox hanging basket! I live in the Southwest and the colors are perfect.

Would you be interested in selling that to me – it is the only item I want or need from the Prep box – however; I don’t
want you to purchase the Prep box only to sell me the rainbox basket, LOL – let me know 🙂

LOL, okay I am 60 and I have a small collection of stuffed animals some of which came from MSA swapping 🥰

Beth

I’m 55 and I’m glad to hear i’m not the only one!

The hanging basket would work well for stuffed animals in child’s room if it could be hung low enough

Reply ButtonReply

Bonnie

I could be wrong, but it seems to me if a child is playing with the kinds of things that won’t fall out of this thing, like stuffed animals or baby dolls, this hanging thing IS likely an asphyxiation danger.

I would not hang it in my child’s room. Plus, too 70’s for me.

amber

Um, my daughter is 10 and plays with dolls and stuffed animals…. why wouldn’t it be ok to put this in her room?

Jenn

My son is 10 and has a “stuffy” collection.. doesn’t really play with them just collects and still loves them.. i wouldn’t worry about him asphyxiating on it. Lots of older kids have stuffed animals too.

Here’s another thing to watch out for: If you have credits and buy add-ons and look at your cart but then hit the “continue shopping” button to spend more, your order will be wiped out and you’re supposed to start all over again, even though your total will be there and your cc or paypal will be charged! I had read on the fb page that there was nothing to worry about, if your cc or paypal was deducted, you’d get the order. Sorry, doesn’t work that way, and you’re not given the option of getting a refund in kind. You have to accept more credits! Sounds crazy that they don’t want you to add to an order and spend more $, but that was just verified for me with an email from CS.

I joined awhile back to try it out because they were offering an add-on set of hand-blown blue drinking glasses that I loved for an extra $20. When my box shipped, it was not the one I had selected (they ran out of that one and decided to send me a “surprise” box instead that was filled with various bar items (I’m a non-drinker), and, of course, they did not have the blue glasses, but hey, I could have a $20 credit to use later, but I couldn’t apply it to my subscription. I left after that one box. I’m afraid to give them another shot.

Reply ButtonReply

Steph

Yikes! Did they send you a return label so you could return the ‘bar item’ box and were you able to choose a different one? Or were they like too bad, that’s what you get? And did they refuse to send you the 2 glasses? Thanks for the input.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Yep. Nope. They lured with the llama and many couldn’t get it. Not falling for their process.

Reply ButtonReply

Sandra

Too bad about the macrame thing. But the other stuff is really cute.

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

That is so funny – that is my favorite part of the box – it is so unusual!

Reply ButtonReply

Sterling

It would make a good ant hanger

Melissa

Hi, I am new to Globein, are we guaranteed to get these exact items? Thanks!!

Reply ButtonReply

jaq

No, as I (and many others) learned when trying to order the llama planter box. As a new member, you don’t get first pick, and it will likely be sold out and you’ll be told it may come back. When it did reappear, it wasn’t a monthly choice but I wanted it for a gift so I paid an extra $50 on top of my membership. They have nice and unusual things, but don’t expect things to run smoothly. I am still waiting for my March box. The website is not easy to navigate or understand, even with the FAQs section. This pandemic is not helping things, so remember to have patience.

Reply ButtonReply

Anita

I found this subscription confusing and frustrating. I signed up for the llama box like a lot of others and of course couldn’t get it. Boxes sell out fast and it’s hard to navigate their site. I haven’t received the feb OR March box. I gave up & cancelled.

Ashleigh

There are no guarantees, but you can log into your account and choose from available options starting on the first of the month. Quantities are pretty limited, it seems.

MissJ

You are if you go into your account the first day and select this box.

Melissa

Hi, when you say the first day, do you mean May 1st or the first day that I order the box? Thanks so much!

I simply must have the rainbox colored fruit basket 🙂
