Fabletics VIP Plus Size Review + Coupon – March 2020

Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson, which includes a plus size line of their fashionable workout gear! You can shop their line in two different ways—either you can shop through their regular store or sign up as a VIP member. The VIP Membership works like this:

  • Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
  • Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
  • Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.

Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Fabletics Plus Size March 2020 Review

Included with my Fabletics order was a standard, itemized statement.

Also, I received a coupon for free nine meals from HelloFresh meal kit service! Check out Marne’s in-depth review for HelloFresh here!

Finally, I received an info card explaining Fabletics’ referral bonuses.

Belle High Impact Sports Bra in Aster Purple/Paradise Cove (Born to Standout Bundle), Size 3x — Retail Value $59.95, VIP Price $44.95 (VIP Outfit Bundle Rate $179.85, VIP Price $89.95, Special 50% off Everything Sale Price $44.97)

I almost chose this outfit for the February Fabletics review, but I am glad I didn’t since they had a 50% off of everything sale just in time for my March selection! I am blown away that I got this three-piece outfit for $44.97! What I love about this bundle is that you get two different looks due to the two sports bras. Both are incredibly unique. I love the intricate crisscross style of the adjustable Paradise Cove blue straps. The piping on the bra also ties the color in perfectly on this set. I love the high impact style bras and this one is no exception in how it provides great support and comfort.

Mila Medium Impact Sports Bra (Born to Standout Bundle), Size 3x — Retail Value $44.95, VIP Price $34.95 (VIP Outfit Bundle Rate $179.85, VIP Price $89.95, Special 50% off Everything Sale Price $44.97)

I have quite a few of the Mila Medium Impact sports bras in my workout wardrobe already, but I was excited to add this bright neon yellow to my growing collection. These bras are gym staples for me because they securely hold me in place, keep me cool, and the back pocket for my phone is an awesome feature I use all the time!  I also love that I can wear this piece with the leggings from my all-time favorite Fabletics set I reviewed back in July 2019! I am all for mixing and matching to make multiple outfits (even workout ensembles)! I will get so much wear with this piece due to it being a solid shade. I love how it looks paired with the leggings in this set, though– so bold and vibrant!

Mila High Waisted Pocket Legging in Aster Purple/Paradise Cove (Born to Standout Bundle), Size 3x — Retail Value $74.95, VIP Price $54.95 (VIP Outfit Bundle Rate $179.85, VIP Price $89.95, Special 50% off Everything Sale Price $44.97)

These leggings (and entire outfit bundle) remind me of a sweatsuit I had back in 5th grade. It was so early ’90s in teal and raspberry purple– I used to wear it with my favorite LA Gear sneakers and would complete the LEWK with a hair scrunchee! I no longer have LA Gears and I refuse to wear a scrunchee, but I still feel the ’90s are alive with this outfit bundle! These fantastic compression leggings have a high waist that will ensure you won’t have to readjust yourself while working out to your fave Sweatin’ to the Oldies or Buns of Steel VHS! The mesh pockets are tubular too because you can easily store your phone or gym card! COWABUNGA! Don’t be surprised if you see me power walking in my neighborhood (while practicing social distancing) in these leggings!

Pia Powertouch Light Front Twist Tank in Hot Orange (Incline Bundle), Size 3x — Retail Value $44.95, VIP Price $34.95 (VIP Outfit Bundle Rate $134.90, VIP Price $79.95, Special 50% off Everything Sale Price $39.97)

You might not realize this about me, but orange is one of my favorite colors. When I saw this bright, neon orange set was a part of the 50% off sale– I knew I had to have it! This set goes perfectly with the neon yellow bra from the Born to Standout Bundle as well! The material of this cropped tank has loads of stretch, but also is lightweight and airy. This top is so comfortable and stylish, I could see myself wearing it in and out of the gym during the summer!

Trinity High-Waisted Utility Legging in Hot Orange (Incline Bundle), Size 3x — Retail Value $89.95, VIP Price $69.95 (VIP Outfit Bundle Rate $134.90, VIP Price $79.95, Special 50% off Everything Sale Price $39.97)

I love the Mila style leggings that offer pockets, but the Trinity style provides even more! Not only do you have a mesh pocket on the leg, but there are multiple zipper pockets on the leg and inside of the waist. There are also zippers at the ankle for you to unzip to make the ankle less tapered. If I decide to go for a walk at night, I will certainly be well seen in these, that’s for sure!

Verdict: Fabletics has truly delivered this month! I am utterly obsessed with both sets I received for March! Fabletics has truly upped their game on prints, color palettes, and styles in plus sizes and recently branched out in offering size 4x! I am incredibly excited about this step in being more inclusive. I do hope they ensure to be even more exclusive by offering 5x and 6x pieces like other plus size workout clothing lines provide. However, them offering a 4x is a step in the right direction for sure! I also can’t get over that I got both sets for $88.31 due to the 50% off sale Fabletics had for their VIP members! This is just another example of why I love their VIP program: they are constantly offering sales, incentives, a points program that can earn you free outfits, and also coupons to show their appreciation for their subscribers! I am eager to see what deals and styles they will have next month, can you?

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, both outfits are available in plus size options. Sign up here to nab other plus size workout gear from Fabletics.

COUPON: Get two pairs of leggings for $24 ($99 value). No coupon needed - just use this link.

Value Breakdown: The Incline outfit retails for $134.90 with a VIP bundle rate of $79.95, but I got it for an additional 50% for $39.97. The Born to Stand Out three piece bundle retails for $179.85 with a VIP bundle rate of $89.95, but I also got this outfit on sale for $44.97. The total of both bundles would have retailed for $313.85, but after discounts I ended up spending $88.13! That means I saved a grand total of $79.95 which is roughly a 71% savings! That’s an astonishing value!

  1. Looking fantastic in every piece, per usual! We should twin it up! 😛

    • Thank you, Marne! Heck yes we should, from a minimum of six feet away, of course! 💖💖💖

  2. Great review! I’m curious how Fabletics quality compares to other brands.

I have workout clothes from less expensive brands (Old Navy, C9 from Target, Amazon Essentials) and pricier brands (Adidas, Universal Standard). I find that my Adidas/US items are much softer, last longer, and breath better.

Is there a brand or brands that Fabletics is similar to in terms of feel and quality?

    • Tbh I haven’t bought workout pieces from Old Navy or Target in years. I do have some champion pieces from Target I got at Curvy Con that were very nice especially for the price point, but I still preferred Fabletics in that scenario. However, your first outfit is deeply discounted and you can always pause a month or cancel. Plus they have really good sales for VIP members as this review shows! I say it is worth a go, but I am biased because I genuinely live their product. So well made!

  3. I love your reviews so much. Thank you!

    • Thank you so much, Jen! That means a lot!

  4. I love the bright colors instead of same old boring black!

    • AGREED! I love a fun workout set!

  5. Cowabunga! You look awesome and make me want to sign up for Fabletics. Except I don’t work out. Or wear tight clothing (due to my silly health). 🤣

    • Awwwwwe! Understandable! But thank you!
