The theme for one of the GlobeIn April 2020 boxes is…Savvy!

Dear Mavens,

Ready to move the fashion industry forward, for the reclamation of people and planet? The Fashion Revolution began five years ago, after the collapse of Rana Plaza Factory in Bangladesh killed more than 1,100 people and injured more than 2,500--mostly young women. Since then, people around the world have united to use their voice and their dollars to urge the fashion industry to clean up its act.

If you ask #whomademyclothes, we will answer. Every piece in your Artisan Box this month is accompanied by the story of the person who made it, offering a small glimpse into their life and their skills. With the efforts of Fair Trade values we hope to urge the fashion industry to create change and impact those who produce their favorite handmade products all over the world.

To celebrate Fashion Revolution month, the pieces in your Artisan Box are beautifully handmade and you’ll be proud to share the stories behind them with you family and friends.

Could someone please help me find out what boxes are still available this month?

Skipped for April. Nothing left that I wanted. I also bought the three-month sub and regret it. But I truly do love my llama planter from a couple of months ago. Hopefully they’ll have something else like that, and I’ll be fast enough to get it!

I bought the three-month sub at the same time as you, it sounds like, because I also wanted the llama planter. That box was good, but I regret signing up for the three months. I hated all of last month’s featured theme boxes (I have SO MANY COFFEE MUGS already!), so I went with a previous box that I kind of liked (Feast, I think). I was lucky enough to be awake just after midnight last night, and I realized GlobeIn choices would be open, so I went to pick my box. I was able to get the one I was thinking of (with the hexagon mirror tray), but at least one of the new theme’s boxes was already sold out. IMO, GlobeIn is a mess! Their business model is pretty confusing, and I am an intelligent person. I’m going to cancel now that my three months is up. Nightmare!

I also signed up for a 3 month at the same time. I did love the llama box so much and the value was there for me. Last month was a miss, I ended up with an old box that’s ok but nothing special. One of the kitchen related boxes.
This month I really wanted the Savvy box or the box with the gold catchall and I logged in at 4am to find both were already sold out. I looked through the add ons and saw some really nice things including another straw bag- also sold out. It’s infuriating and deceptive business practices to advertise such a limited amount of product for a subscription box.

I feel gauche complaining about this in the middle of a global pandemic but since I’ve been furloughed, I canceled all subscriptions and this is the last one I have coming. I really wanted it to be something special.

I signed in to my account this morning and so many things (including this box) are sold out. Very disappointing, especially since they have been advertising it pretty heavily!

It has been sold out since yesterday. I logged in to my account last night and everything was up and a lot was sold out, not sure at what time yesterday things became available, but when I check, 2 of this month themes were sold out and a lot of the add ons.
I sent Globein and email about how unfair that was, I wanted the Savvy Box and already sold out, I went for a 3 month and honestly can’t wait until it is over so I can cancel.

I have never subscribed to this. Can you choose this actual box or how does it work?

I would be REALLY leery of putting anything acidic in that copper bottle due to leeching concerns. Water only!

Eileen

Ohhh. I want that bag! The water bottle would be a pretty addition to my water bottle collection.

Looks like there’s going to be another bag this month too, so might be worth checking out! Not sure of the dimensions on the other box

Beth

FYI – someone commented on the last post that if you look at the dimensions, the bag is only 12” high, not the 18-24” it looks like in some of the photos!

It’s still probably a great bag, but I wanted a larger one.

They’ve always listed the dimensions correctly at 12.5″ high. I have no idea why that person thought it looks 25″ high or thought they were correcting anything — I know it wasn’t you, it was just baffling to me.

Eileen

Thanks for pointing that out. That could make a difference.
