February 2020 Dapper Dog Box Review

Each box comes with two info cards, one listing the featured item of the month—the Dapper Dog monthly bandana—and the other has some social media info as well as a little more info about the charitable nature of this box.

Murray is ready to dig in!

True Romance Bandana

Every month Dapper Dog includes a festive double-sided bandana. This style is simple to tie and fits around my dog's neck perfectly. I love this month's cute, yet dapper designs. This month's theme is The Pawchelor, featuring a romantic yet dramatic Valentine's bandana.

Adorable! Here is the bandana modeled on my BFF Murray (he is my 8-year-old Corgi-Maltese); the medium size fits him to a T!

Zippy Paws Happy Hour Crusherz Champagne Toy – Retail Value $7.99

Murray loves any toy that has a crunch to it, so he was all over this water bottle toy by Zippy Paws. We received a similar toy sometime last year from DD, and Murray loves this one the same. This toy actually came with a plastic water bottle already inside the little velcro patch, and it is topped with a squeaky cap, so when he bites down on the water bottle, it lets out a loud squeak! We had a few water bottle toys in the past, but none of them had this alluring feature. Plus, how cute is that Champagne bottle? It matches the Rosé bottle perfectly.

He is in his happy place.

Exclusively Dog Harvest Blends Chewy Treats, 7 oz - Retail Value $7.19 (on sale now for $5.60)

Murray loves these chewy treats. They are heart-shaped and full of nutritious vegetarian ingredients to keep your pup happy and healthy.

They are wheat, corn and soy-free and the perfect size for training.

Sodapup Bling Ring Rubber Teething Toy - Retail Value $12.99

Typically Murray would snub such a clunky toy, but he is really loving this treat-dispensing ring. I've honestly never seen him pick up such a huge, heavy (for him) toy, but he loves pushing this around with his nose and picking it up, throwing it and collecting the treats that escape.

Just when I think he is getting good at figuring this toy out, a treat will get stuck, and that keeps him occupied for hours.

VitalEssentials Duck Nibs Freeze-Dried Treats, 2 oz – Retail Value $8.99 (on sale for $8.09)

These crunchy little pellets are the perfect training treats; they are potent which definitely gets Murray's attention, they are small enough to treat often and they are also very healthy for your pooch only containing mostly duck ingredients. Dapper Dog has sent out different variations of this same treat, and Murray loves them all.

He obsesses over freeze-dried treats; he went wild when I put them in the toy above.

Verdict: Dapper Dog sent out a great box for February. Murray's stylish bandana stash grows every month, thanks to this subscription, and he always gets a compliment on our walks. I noticed this month that they did not list a retail price for this month's bandana, which is usually listed as a $30 value. The two bags of treats and two toys add up to $34.67 using sale and retail prices; it is nearly the same cost as the subscription, not including the cost of the bandana. Considering that Murray loved each item in this box, I feel it is somewhat worth the cost, although, I feel that they could of included a care item to offset the cost a little more.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.
