Stitch Fix Kids February 2020 Review

In our Stitch Fix Kids delivery, we received this cute sticker sheet. They also provide an envelope with a prepaid shipping label for easy returns and exchanges.

This is the invoice that was sent in the Fix. It provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items in the pre-paid postmarked envelope they provide. The items for my daughter came to a total of $216, but with the 25% discount (which they take off BEFORE they deduct the $20) and the $20 credit, our total drops down to $142.00 (my invoice looks a little different because I have some credits on my account that it is applying). That's a savings of $74.00 on this Fix!

This is the included style sheet, which features pictures of all the clothing and a note from her stylist, Anna, who does a great job of meeting our needs and trying to match Liv's ever-changing sense of style!

Candy Released Hem Legging by DL1961, Size 7 - Cost to Keep $44.00

Since I mentioned that Liv really loves soft pants and has an aversion to jeans, her stylist sent these jeggings with a nice stretchy waistband. I liked the dark wash and even though they were pretty baggy on her, I thought they worked well (see more pictures further down). They were definitely not as soft as your typical jeggings though and felt much more like jeans, so of course, Liv was still not a fan. I also wasn't a fan of that cost to keep!

Jaidyn Peplum Top, Size S - Cost to Keep $16.00

This top is so cute and we paired it with the jeans above. I love the color, the stripes, and the cute little ruffled side and back panel. It was soft and comfortable for her to wear as well.

The Long Sleeve Graphic Tee by RUMI + RYDER, Size S - Cost to Keep $16.00

We love dinos around here and this basic long sleeve tee is a cute one! The glitter letters add some sparkle and while it looks like the dino is made of sequins it is actually just a faux sequin look with puffy paint. I think Liv was actually disappointed to find that they weren't real sequins!

Maci Drawstring Hacci Top by Tangerine Dream, Size S - Cost to Keep $20.00

Liv really liked this tie-dye cloud top. She thought it was soft and comfortable and was really drawn to the colors and style. It fit her well too and had a cute faux tie detail at the bottom of the hem.

Axelle Rain Boots by Capelli New York, Size 1Y - Cost to Keep $24.00

These rain boots are really cute and Liv loved them with the gradient pink color flecked with sparkly glitter. They seemed like they were great quality and while they are an awesome choice for a little girl, she already has a fun pair that her Grammy gave her and we just don't need two pairs of rain boots.

This is the outfit that her stylist suggested pairing them with and I think they make a cute rainy day outfit fitting for a little girl to splash around in puddles!

Jaylie Shift Dress by Walking on Sunshine, Size M - Cost to Keep $28.00

Liv went crazy for this dress! She loves dresses already, but this one is so so soft and currently, this is what she judges her clothing by. While it's a cute dress and I admit the softness is amazing, my husband and I both thought it looked more like a nightgown than a dress. Maybe with some tights and her booties it will look a little dressier?

Malika Brushed Swing Dress by Walking on Sunshine, Size M - Cost to Keep $26.00

Liv was also a big fan of this dress. I love the colors and the floral pattern, but I wish it was a different style or had shorter sleeves. Something to just break up the pattern a bit. It's cute and she thought it was comfortable and was excited by it.

Moriah Tie Front Longsleeve Top by Crown of Hearts, Size S - Cost to Keep $18.00

This basic black tee is very simple and has a cute knot detail at the front. While the top itself is very plain, I really loved the two pairs of leggings that her stylist sent to go along with it!

Carolina Fleece Lined Legging by Capelli New York, Size M - Cost to Keep $12.00

How fun are these fleece-lined leggings? They are so unique and different with the flecked neon colors. I thought it made such a cute outfit paired with the black top! They are also super soft, making these a great comfortable choice for Liv, too. This is my favorite look from this month, and my husband's as well!

Leah Knit Legging by RUMI + RYDER, Size S - Cost to Keep $12.00

The last pair of leggings are traditional style and while black and white stripes seem pretty basic, the fact that the stripes are so closed together and vary in width makes them so much more interesting. I thought they were really stylish, and again, went so nicely with the black top!

The Verdict: I am so happy with Liv's stylist, Anna, from Stitch Fix Kids! She really listens to my feedback and tries to meet our requests as best as she can. She also seems to have a little foresight in regards to pieces we might need, and I love her tendency to put together complete outfits which make our Fixes feel a bit more complete and thorough. While you definitely pay a bit more for the pieces you buy through this service, I really love the convenience of it and how personalized it is! I think Liv was pretty happy with the items she was sent this month, too!

Value Breakdown: This styling service cost $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $216.00. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all of the items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the Fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $142.00. That’s a discount of around 34% for these items!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

This is one of my favorite reviews to read as Liv is just the sweetest. I’m also a fan of all things comfy (dresses especially) and she puts a smile on my face.

Really cute outfits this month. I think I like the girls stitch fix better than the adult women’s. Lol! I think this is a great idea for busy parents. Usually kids dislike shopping for clothes and trying them on in the store and with this it can be done in the privacy of your home.

I agree – her fixes are so much cuter than mine sometimes! Lol. It is definitely way more convenient than taking her to the store! 🙂

Liv’s hair is amazing! I’m always excited when I see you’ve posted a review of a box for her. Her unbounded curls are just so lovely! And of course, she looks adorable in every outfit ever. ❤

Haha thanks so much, Jamie! Those curls cannot be tamed! She’s been letting me put it up in a ponytail for her this past week and it turns into one giant ringlet! Lol ☺️
