FaceTory 7 Lux February 2020 Review

Now on to the masks!

FaceTory Olive Squalane Everyday Mask - Retail Value $3.50

I generally like the own-brand sheet masks in this sub and this was no exception. It had a nice mellow scent and a mask that fit really well. With ingredients like aloe, squalane, and witch hazel, my skin felt pretty darn great after using this. This is part of a new everyday mask line from FaceTory and I hope I see more in the upcoming months!

Beauty Chuck I’m Real GIRA Mask - Listed Value $2.50

I really liked this mask too! It has a slightly aquatic scent and a super calming serum that felt chilly on my face. With aloe and kiwi, I experienced a really great burst of hydration throughout my face after I removed this mask. The sheet was very breathable and fit my face very well.

Dr. Althea Dr. Pro Lab Recovery Solution 2-Step Mask - Listed Value $5.50

I adore a multi-step sort of mask because they feel like a very fun little skincare science experiment. This one came in a very cool sheer packet and in the upper compartment there is a little vial of ampoule that you pat onto your skin before you apply the mask. This mask is SO thin and wonderful! This was another that felt extra cooling on my skin and I adored the perfumey sort of scent. My skin looked very dewy after I removed this and I enjoyed massaging in the leftover serum.

Aida Bio-Cellulose Propolis Mask - Listed Value $4.20

I highly enjoy bio-cellulose masks because they fit literally like a second skin and somehow manage to be super hydrating without being very wet with serum. This was a really nice formula with propolis, which is a wonderful healing and anti-aging element for any skincare routine, but especially for dry skin. It also has artemisia which helps reduce redness.

Farmskin Superfood Nourishing Mask in Coconut - Listed Value $3.50

Not a huge coconut fan, but I do appreciate when the scent is a natural one instead of a suntan lotion sort of deal. This was very much a soft coconut milk scent that I actually didn't mind at all. The serum was milky and very, very hydrating. Aside from the moisturizing boost, this wasn't a mask with a lot of bells and whistles, but I liked it just fine!

Aroh Probiotics Brightening Mask Pack - Listed Value $3.00

I knew I was going to love this mask when I was peeking at the ingredients before I applied it. Fig, mushroom, and rice? Sign me up! It had a nice mellow scent that was just a little earthy, and the mask itself fit my face nicely. This mask kind of had it all in terms of benefits: it brightened, moisturized, and calmed my skin. Total winner!

Sur. Medic + Vital Collagen Mask - Retail Value $3.50

Our last mask had such a nice green tea scent! I liked the formula a lot, but found the eye holes were a little too close together for me, which led to a little serum leaking into my eyes. This burned a little which is never fun. I ended up folding the mask down and just wearing it below my eyes and then folding it up to wear on my forehead, avoiding my eye area. Like most collagen masks, my skin looked extra firm after use!

This month arrived with a full-size bonus product too!

Essenherb Tea Tree Ampoule, 50 ml - Retail Value $25.00

There was a rose or tea tree variation possible for this item, and at first, I was a little bummed I didn't get the rose. I then remembered my chin and jawline have been pretty broken out recently (Marne and I are practicing waxing and different facials in esthetician school, so my skin has FEELINGS right now). This is a gel sort of treatment which is nice because a little goes a long way and it is thick enough not to run all over your face and instead stay right where you apply it. I have been applying it just where I need it at night before my final cream and the redness and size of my breakout spots have improved in a totally noticeable way.

Verdict: FaceTory is always a sub I look forward to! Since I have been putting my skin through its paces in more extreme ways lately, the calming nature of this month's selections was much appreciated. I liked all of the masks this month and especially the full-size tea tree ampoule bonus!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Great review! Do you know how long they will be including the bonus items? Since that seems to really effect the value of the box, I was curious. Thanks!

I think they always include at least one bonus item along with the masks.
