7321 Design My Color My Book Diary with Stickers
One of my favorite times of the year when I was younger was around September when the new planners would come out. I’d carefully select something cute and tasteful at my nearest Asian stationery store and then excitedly rush home to fill it all out with dates and get cracking on planning my upcoming weeks. Sadly, I put all of my important events in my phone these days, but I do long for that excitement. This soft periwinkle color I received is so pretty and the food stickers it came with make me smile so much. This diary (or planner) is already dated so that I don’t have to do it by hand, but that means I can’t save it for future years. The cover has a soft touch and it comes complete with a ribbon to hold my spot in the current week and an elastic strap to keep it closed. I’ll be using this for school this year and you better believe I’ll be using these stickers to decorate the front!
The Saem Healing Tea Garden Cleansing Water
This is quite a hefty full-size bottle of cleansing water! Since I always double-cleanse at night, this is a great product to use first to get all of my makeup and dirt off of my face before going in with something more cleansing. Alternately, it can be used after the first cleansing step as a toner-like application to get anything left behind. Either way you use it, this is helpful in building a solid routine. All you need is a cotton ball to dampen with the solution to then sweep over the face. It has a pleasant light green tea and floral scent which is not harsh at all.
Kakao Friends 2020 Desk Calendar
What an adorable calendar for my desk! Although I have a digital one on my laptop that I keep open, sometimes it’s easier to just glance at a page open on my desk to be reminded of the date. Each page has a cute character or two from Kakao Friends which I’ve seen in the past season’s Daebak Box.
Romane Brunch Brother Winter Collection Bon Bon Neck Pillow
Would you believe that I’ve never owned a neck pillow for travel? I am not a good sleeper on airplanes and I’ve always thought of neck pillows as just one more thing to carry around, but this one is just too cute to not use! The fabric of this brown bear is the softest I have ever felt and it is so comfortable around my neck! It should keep my head from bobbing around on a 6am flight, so perhaps I’ll be able to actually catch some Zs with this? It even has a sturdy snap at the front to keep it fastened and the bear’s little face is on one end while his back feet and tail are on the other. Super cute AND functional!
The Saem Care Plus Baobab Collagen Cream
Daebak Box likes to send some K-Beauty with each box, so this is the second item for Winter. This thick moisturizing cream is made with baobab which improves skin elasticity and soothes dry skin as well as collagen which can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It has a slight floral scent that dissipates once it soaks into the skin and feels very soothing when massaging in. There’s no greasy or oily residue at all and my skin definitely feels more hydrated after using.
Sticker Pack, 50 ct
These stickers had me at “hello,” which they didn’t actually say, because they are stickers. They’d probably say “annyeong” anyway if they could. That aside, this is a box full of 50 super random full-color paper stickers of all kinds of things from a nurse checking a needle, to a lady in a convertible with a squirrel, to English words like “Fragile” or phrases like “I made it!” I find these to be completely delightful and strange which means I adore this item.
Kakao Friends Square Pouch
There were two variants for this item and I received the pink version instead of the brown bear. This character pouch has a single tooth in his open mouth, small eyes, and a pair of rosy cheeks. The fabric is similar to the ultra-soft stuff that makes up the neck pillow I received, but it’s in a soft pink color. Just zip around the square shape to reveal two mesh pockets inside that can hold stationery items, makeup, or whatever you’d like to tote around.
Shining Gel Stick, pack of 3
Out of all the stationery items I’ve collected in my day, I’m shocked to admit that I have never seen “gel sticks” like these. They are basically big chubby crayons that you can twist more out of at the bottom. They are very gel-like, as alluded to in their name which makes them glide effortlessly across paper. The orange color in this 3-pack (along with purple and green) I especially like due to its neon glow-like property in daylight. So cool! I’m not sure how I’ll use these in my daily life, but I will figure something out!
In the booklet, it looks like the last item should have been an Exo (9-member K-Pop boy band) Edition sheet mask but it seems that something went awry there because instead, I received this BTS sticker sheet. Honestly, I think this is cool since I love stickers, so no harm done. I realized that I’ve never actually heard BTS which is the biggest band in the world, so I gave them a quick listen on Spotify. I immediately realized they are not for me since I can’t handle pop music, so this sheet will be going to Megan and Savannah, who took it very personally when I admitted that I do not like BTS. Look at those cute tracksuits tho!
Verdict: The Winter Daebak Box was way better in my opinion than the previous Fall box. This one was bursting with things that were both cute and useful and they really fed my desire for stationery items and K-Beauty. The neck pillow and sticker pack are probably my faves while the gel sticks are also high on my list. This was really fun to go through and I liked everything included! $49.99 (or the new $54.99 price) is kind of steep, so I think this is for the Korean enthusiast only, but since it’s quarterly it makes the price a little easier to swallow.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? This box is gone, but it looks like their Spring box is available to order!
