Let's see what I received!

Kate Somerville Kx Active Concentrates Bio-Mimicking Peptides Serum, 1 oz - Retail Value $98.00

Let's begin with the most expensive treat this month! I really like Kate Somerville products and find them to usually be really effective and of wonderful quality. Peptides are basically chains of amino acids and they are a huge part of your skin's collagen and elastin, so adding them to your routine is an excellent choice if you want to maintain your skin's firmness and elasticity. I noticed a little extra "bounce" after a week of adding this to my rotation, which is great! It wasn't a fine line killer or anything like that, but added firmness is always appreciated.

Alamar Cosmetics Complexion Brush Trio - Retail Value $36.00

The very last thing I need is another makeup brush, but I have become a little bit of a collector/hoarder. I LOVE adding new brushes to my collection even if I don't need them (and I certainly don't). I know not everyone feels this way and perhaps someday I will have like 29420934 brushes and I will hit a wall, but today is not that day. These are very pretty and have nicely dense brush heads. There are three in this set: a bronzer, a brightener, and a general complexion brush. The bristles are synthetic and feel very good on the skin, grabbing plenty of product per dip or swipe.

Ciaté London Everyday Vacay Coconut Scented Translucent Loose Powder, 15 g - Retail Value $22.00

I have to admit that this isn't my favorite brand, and I have a hard time getting super excited about translucent powder. That being said, I do think a lot of Charmers out there might really like this. It has a soft coconut scent which feels very summery, and it does go a great job of mattifying my face juuuust enough and locking my makeup in place.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, 28 pads - Retail Value $17.00

I like pads like this because I am an AHA addict and they make it just ridiculously easy to apply a peel before bed. These are soaked in a formula with both glycolic and lactic acids which exfoliate the skin without any texture or scrubbiness. This exfoliation exposes newer glowing skin! I found these to be pretty mild, but I do use acids A LOT, so if you are more sensitive give them a try maybe every other night and follow up with moisturizer until you see how your skin reacts. They also fill in as a toner step in a routine too, and multi-use always makes me happy!

Evio Refreshing Cleansing Help Wipes, 15 wipes - Retail Value $10.00

Finally, our last item is a pack of 15 hemp oil wipes. I use cleansing wipes all the time at home, work, and in school, so I am rarely unhappy to see them in a box. It would have been extra nice if this had been a 30 pack though! These were exceptionally gentle on my skin and did a good job removing makeup and dirt. Despite having hemp oil, they leave no oily feel behind.

Verdict: My BoxyCharm box has an overall value of $183.00 which is awesome for a $25 box. This was the second month where my box was significantly more skincare focused, though I will say I like this box much more than my January one. The Kate Somerville serum alone makes the $25 price tag feel more than fair, and I also loved the brushes, pads, and wipes. The powder is also a solid addition, though I feel pretty neutral about it. All in all, this was a great value box with recognizable and high-quality brands, so what's not to love?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, this box is still available, but there are variations! These boxes do sell out, so if you love it, hurry.

Value Breakdown: At $25.00 for this box, here is approximately what you are paying per product:

  • Kate Somerville Serum $13.39
  • Alamar Brush Trio $4.92
  • Ciaté Powder $3.01
  • First Aid Beauty Pads $2.32
  • Evio Wipes $1.37

Alternatively, the average cost of each of the 5 items is $5.00.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I FINALLY received my box. Everything was just thrown into the box with no insert or booklet or whatever. Boxy needs to step back and get organized, they are trying to grow too fast and too big. I will probably cancel all three of them, I have enough skincare and eye shadow palettes to last me six lifetimes and their filler items are getting worse and worse.

Since all of the recent drama, I decided to start checking my products from all boxes. How are you all doing this? My base box came today with no insert and no information on the products themselves. I have no way of finding out this information because it is not even on the product. So how can I find ingredients and country of origin?

Thanks for your help!!!

If you want to learn more about a certain product, try doing a search on Google or Bing for the product. You might find resources that can take you to websites in order to find the info you’re looking for. I do this with almost all of my K-Beauty products. You’d be surprised by the wealth of information websites have on these products!

My box has been pending in shipping since 2/6 😤. I confirmed with Fedex that it is not able to be located. I let Boxy know this yesterday and haven’t heard back from them. Good luck!

Mine now shows pending delivery on Tuesday 2/25. Will update when I get it.

BUYER BEWARE!

ATTENTION ANYONE WHO THINKS YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE DR. BRANDT, YOU ATE NOT. You will get a palette and possibly a credit.

Hello,

Help me understand.

I watched Manny MUA’s video. I was so impressed I ordered a Boxy Charm professional email.

There was no place to sign up for Premium.

I also did NOT get to pick my item.

I signed up again under my personal YAHOO email and looked for the Premium. There is a waiting list.

Again I did not get to pick an item but I was able to pick a free gift.

On February 9th I cancelled after I saw what regular subs were getting. I was a little shook that I was not able to get one choice item.

On February 18th at 12:05 I received an email that my boxes have shipped.

On February 18th, the same day at 6:00, I received another email stating:

your Boxy contains a Tarte Be You. Naturally palette instead of your Dr. Brandt Hydro-Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask gift. We’re sorry for the mix-up and are here to make this right!

To offer you the best experience, we created the $12 coupon code below toward a March Add-On purchase. The coupon code will allow you to purchase the correct Dr. Brandt item while supplies last, or shop a different and equally amazing goodie that catches your eye – the choice is yours!

AND THERE IT IS, the old bait and switch.

I have been following this box for a long time.

How am I supposed to use the credits when I cancelled my accounts?

I am 1/2 venting and 1/2 warning others that the bonus gifts are not what are listed.

I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

I received my 1st box then they charged me a week later for the 2nd box even though i took my card off the account. I asked for a refund they said no and didnt send my 2nd box how can you not refund it and still not send the box? Horrible customer service.

I am soooo pleased with the Iconic London palette! The shadows are pigmented, creamy and NO fallout! The shades are perfect for everyday or going out. Usually foils/shimmery shades irritate my eyes (including Too Faced, Urban Decay, tarte), but not these! So far, so good!

Debra

I received a virtual box card insert as well and I am confused because I am getting the set of three cosmetic sponges and then another single sponge! For THAT they raised the price of the box! So disappointed! Epic fail Boxy! 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

I received a “virtual February insert card” by email. It’s wrong 😂 oh boxy 🤦‍♀️. My second box hasn’t shipped yet

Reply ButtonReply

M smith

Ok I JUST TWO MINUTES AGO received my VIRTUAL items card in my email! ? This must be a cost savings and money saver the only problem is it can after I received my box 😳 but I guess better late than never. No heads up about this that I remember anyway.

My box came. I received:

1) Alamar Cosmetics – Complexion Brush Trio
2) Iconic London – Day to Slay Eyeshadow Palette
3) Amika – Supernova Moisture + Shine Cream
4) Evio Beauty – Refreshing Cleansing Hemp Wipes
5) Illuminati – Cosmetic Sponge (single sponge)

I was so hoping for the tanning drops!

Jaime

My box didn’t have a card so I’m not sure of the variation number, but I got:

Kate Somerville (chosen item)
Alamar brushes
First Aid Beauty facial radiance pads
Pür 4-in-1 primer
Touch in Sol glass skin balm

I’m pretty happy with most of the box, however the Touch in Sol skin balm is a repeat, so if anyone wants to trade or something, leave me a comment and let me know 🙂

I got the worst box possible! #47. Kate somerville, alamar brushes, ciate, PV mascara, qveen lip satin. Yuck! I don’t like anything. Was hoping for the FAB & Face wipes!

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

January was my first Boxycharm box. I never got an email, even in spam, about Choice for February. The box arrived today, and I got five things:

Kate Somerville KX Serum
Luxie Beauty sponge set
Amika Shine Cream
Moda 6 pc eyeshadow brushes
PUR cosmetics 4 in 1 primer

I was hoping for some kind of makeup. Do I have to subscribe for a while before I might get lipstick or blush or eyeshadow palettes? Not that I’m not grateful for what I did get, I was hoping for the sponges, but I have a full set of brushes already and lots of primer and serum samples. IPSY doesn’t send me makeup, now Boxy…how do I actually get makeup and not just skin care all the time?

Reply ButtonReply

M smith

I got my box today no card and no protecting foam everything just bouncing around in the box luckily nothing is broken. Don’t know what’s up with boxy maybe too many variations to make cards for them all. I received QMS Which I chose / luxe sponge set which I was hoping for / faux reals mascara / Amika hair cream and Qveen lip gloss in Monroe. I don’t know why after having filled out my profile they keep sending me theeeee darkest lip colors!! I prefer lighter colors but keeps getting dark purple and reds. The box was over 200 in value so can’t complain. But the lipsticks are going to be gifts. I hope the packers take more time to make sure boxes have their cards and foam next time.

Sierra Markavich

I didn’t get a paper description card either!! I realized how useful they actually are lol

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

My card was missing, too, but my box was packed nicely. I have the same frustration with the lip colors. What makes it worse is that I WANT to be able to wear red, but it looks terrible on me…thin lips that don’t need attention drawn to them!!!

Teresa

I missed the choice this month and got a very disappointing box. I will likely cancel unless spoilers are something.

Brushes
QmS
Pur primer
ciate everyday vacay
Kat von D cake pencil 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Heather B

I got my box today! Total weight was 1 lb

Kate Somerville serum
Almar Brush Trio
Ciate London Setting Powder
QVEEN Lip Satin in Wifey (love the color)
Pretty Vulgar Mascara

Overall I am pleased…kind of meh about the setting powder but I’ll give it a try (I love the smell of coconut reminds me of summer).

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

Box twins! Except my box only had 4 items. I’m missing the Qveen lip stain.

Is Boxy responsive with sending missed items?

Reply ButtonReply

Page

I didn’t get my card but my box arrived with
Iconic London palette
Luxie blender sponge set
Qveen lipgloss in a dark red
Moda eyeshadow brush set of 5
Ciate London coconut setting powder

The only item I won’t use is the lipgloss. I still have the last Ciate setting powder unused from a previous box since I’m still working on using the Becca setting powder and a Laura Mercier powder I have. Would be more than thrilled not to get any more setting powders or eyeliners for another year but sadly I know that won’t be the case.

I’m much happier with this box than January which was a MEH,

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

Box twins, except I had a lip stain, not a gloss.

Overall I’m okay with it, but I didn’t know some people would get brushes AND sponges, but you just never know with Boxy. 🤷‍♀️

Anyone else with a box weight of 1.1 lbs / Seems lighter then everyone’s ? I’ve seen 1.2 & up but no 1.1 🤔 my premium is 1”2.8 I’m hoping for the palette!

My box is delayed. I wonder what product is holding it up?

CJewell0422

My box weighs 1.1 anyone else’s weigh 1.1 ???
I picked the KS serum. Really hoping for the brushes 🤞

Reply ButtonReply

Lauren P

My box was 1.2 Lbs and I received:
Facial Radiance Pads – $17
Kate Somerville Smooth & Firm Serum – $98
Luxie sponges – $40
Isle of Paradise tanning drops – $29
Qveen Liquid lipstick in Monroe (dark red) – $17
Total retail – $201

Not too shabby for missing choice 🙂 The only thing I won’t use for sure is the lipstick and MAYBE the tanning drops. Everything else is a win for me – I’ve purchased the pads before and love them and I can always use more sponges.

Kristine

My box was 1.1 and I got
Kate Somerville active concentrate $98
Lucid beauty sponge set $40
Amina supernova moisture shine cream $25
Mods brush set 5 pc $27.95
Pur cosmetic 4-1 primer $17
Total $ 207.95
This is my favorite box I’ve received in months. I love everything in it. The sponges and brushes are great.

My Boxy did not have a paper insert, but I’m happy with the items I got:
-Kate Somerville serum
-Pur 4-in-1 Correcting Primer
-First Aid Besuty Facial pads
-Alamar brushes set
-Touch in Sol Glassy skin balm

Reply ButtonReply

Jaime

I got the same! I’m pretty happy for the most part, however I have received the Touch in Sol glassy skin balm before so I’m down to trade if anyone wants 🙂

No insert for me, but with the eye shadow kit instead of the serum.

Reply ButtonReply

Myra

I got the same thing! And, funnily enough, no insert as well

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Me too! I’m really happy with the contents though!!!

Lauren

Okay, picked the ks. Box weight was 1.2 pounds and I received: serum, fab pads, brushes, pur primer and the glassy balm from a few months ago. Not thrilled about receiving a repeat and 2 primers, but I’m glad that I managed another month without a palette.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

I just received an email from BC that my box is delayed and I can expect an email with an update during the week of February 17th. This email comes after I emailed CS to try and get an update to the email I sent a month ago about receiving the wrong choice item for January. They have the worst customer service!

Steph H.

Anyone choose the Iconic London pallete and their box weight is 1.9 lbs.? Curious what this variation is.

Reply ButtonReply

Sara E Denny

I picked the palette and my weight is 1.9 as well. However, it seems like FedEx is having issues, and I don’t even have an estimated arrival day or confirmed shipping.

Reply ButtonReply

Steph H.

I just received my box. It doesn’t have the card so I don’t know what variation I received. My box includes:

Iconic London Pallete
Ciate Powder
Alamar Brushes
FAB Facial Pads
PUR Primer

It’s an okay box. I was hoping for the mascara or Amika. I’ll use everything except for the primer as I don’t use foundation.
