Boxwalla Beauty Box February 2020 Review feat. Votary

Each Boxwalla box comes with a letter printed on high-quality cardstock detailing the items included. This month features two full-size products from British brand, Votary. Their beautiful green glass bottles are a signature of theirs and always look fantastic on the shelf.

Also included was a booklet from the brand with even more information, including advice for using each item.

Votary Super Seed Facial Oil, 1.7 oz. - Retail Value $110.00

So I have been low-key obsessed with this brand ever since Marne (an angel) gifted me the Votary London Jasmine and Calendula Facial Oil from her December Laurel & Reed review. It is hands down my favorite facial oil of all time and I am so obsessed with it that it is in my purse at all times so I can dip in whenever I am feeling dry on the go. This Super Seed oil is fragrance-free and though I generally prefer scents in my products I can appreciate how this would be much better for sensitive skin. I did notice a slight "seedy" botanical scent that I personally found very light and pleasant. It has literally 22 different seed oils inside! That sounds like a lot (and it certainly is) but this stuff still absorbed really quickly for how rich it is, meaning even if you aren't perhaps an oil fan, this is worth a try since it won't leave you feeling greasy. My skin was downright velvety after I gently massaged a few drops of this on my face. As an oil enthusiast, I always like to remember to use these hearty sorts of oils also on dry elbows, knees, cuticles, and even on the occasional messy hair flyaway. This is a really generously sized bottle so try it out!

Votary Super Seed Nutrient Cream, 1.7 oz. - Retail Value $102.00

Our second and final item is a luxurious cream packaged in the same stunning green glass as our oil. This product is also unscented and has 22 skin-hero oils inside as well as hyaluronic acid and aloe. The feels like a heavy-duty cream on your face until your skin starts to easily absorb it, leaving a perfectly primed and arguably matte surface for makeup. I thought I might reserve this for a night cream, but I love the finish so much I am happily going to make this my daytime go-to with or without makeup. It leaves my skin looking really bright and firm, and the hydration lasts all day while somehow feeling weightless. I love that these high-quality ingredients have both an instant effect on my skin and with longer-term use will improve its texture and overall health.

Verdict: My first Boxwalla Beauty was a dream. I absolutely love the Votary brand. I have tried 3 different products now and my skin just adores these incredible formulas. Add in that everything is cruelty-free and vegan AND still incredibly effective? I am obsessed. In addition, everything is packaged beautifully and feels super luxurious, meaning my day and night time skin rituals feel incredibly elevated. This box had a total value of $212 which is incredible for a $49.95 box any way you look at it and I am over the moon thrilled.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You have until February 20th to sign up and get this box (as long as it doesn't sell out)!

Value Breakdown: At $49.95 for this box, here's how much you'll pay for each item:

  • Super Seed Facial Oil $25.92
  • Super Seed Cream $24.03

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Boxwalla has a special offer on; pick three previous boxes, at the subscriber price of $149 for the three. Pretty amazing!

I’m considering giving up Boxy and Ipsy Plus for Boxwalla.

They are certainly two different boxes, but if you are into indie skincare (with a hefty retail value!) I highly recommend this one.
