Beauty Heroes February 2020 Review Feat. Blüh Alchemy

You'll always get a card with a new monthly ritual that includes past and present featured Beauty Heroes items.

I was overjoyed to hear that the featured brand this month is Blüh Alchemy again since I discovered them through Beauty Heroes last year and fell in love. This time, they've sent two completely different products that are giving me the same warm feelings! The included card goes into detail about what ingredients are in each as well as how to use them and their retail values.

Blüh Alchemy Botanic Retinol Cell Renewal Concentrate, 1 oz. - Retail Value $140.00

First of all, if you hadn't noticed, Blüh Alchemy has gorgeous packaging and white glass bottles with blue text that I just adore. This product is brand-spanking-new and had its debut in Beauty Heroes just before it was released on their own website. The star ingredient here is bakuchiol which is "a retinol alternative derived from the Ayurvedic babchi plant delivering retinol-like results without the negative side effects." This ingredient also will boost collagen production which will give a more youthful appearance to skin. I've been using this after cleansing and toning before I put on any moisturizer or facial oils. It's not terribly thick and doesn't feel greasy or oily at all. I love love love the scent that comes from the blue tansy ingredient which also lends itself to the beautiful greenish-blue hue. My skin drinks this up and looks a bit brighter and feels just a bit more taught afterward. I'm loving this so far and am excited to keep using it in my routine.

Blüh Alchemy Eye Oil Serum, 0.43 oz. - Retail Value 82.00

I've been doing my best to give eye serums and creams a better chance. Since I love the brand so much, I've been more diligent about this easily rolled on serum from Blüh Alchemy. The star ingredients here are green coffee bean which contains antioxidants to reduce those dark circles I am always battling along with hibiscus which is apparently called "the botox plant," and Kakadu plum which boosts cell regeneration and reduces hyperpigmentation. The metal roller ball immediately has a cooling effect which can be especially nice on puffy eyes. I think this is just a genius delivery for an eye product which makes it a lot easier for me to get into a groove with at night and in the morning as part of my routine. I gently roll this under my eyes which distributes the perfect amount, and then use my ring finger to gently tap it in, as well as around the eye where crows feet can appear, and my eyelids which have a darker pigment than I'd like. After about 10 days I'm still not seeing an alarming difference, but these things take time. The rosehip and red raspberry oils also included in the formula give this a light pleasant scent as well. I'll definitely be sticking with this one for the long run!

Verdict: Beauty Heroes has impressed me once again and I was so happy to see Blüh Alchemy featured this month! I think both the concentrate and eye serum will give my skin wonderful results over time and I love how the brand is always coming up with new ways to get things done in the purest ways. Blüh Alchemy is a brand I know I'll be turning to in the future and would definitely consider purchasing on my own. These two products have a retail value of $222 which is clearly an incredible value!

Beauty Heroes is my absolute favorite beauty box. I particularly adore this month’s selection and both items are a hit.

I first fell in love with the eye serum, very cooling with a yummy herbal and vanilla scent. It left my puffy eyes moisturized and fresh.

While I thought the eye serum was my favorite product, the collagen boost topped it. Just wow!! The dispenser whips the product into a lovely texture and my skin is immediately soft and smooth. Both products have a delightful fresh and natural scent although each is quite different with the collagen booster being very light, fresh, herbaceous and slightly minty.

Thank you Beauty Heroes for introducing me to these two lovely products!

Thank you so much for such a great review, Marne! We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying this Discovery from Blüh Alchemy. It really is such a special Discovery and both are Hero products for us at Beauty Heroes.

For those inquiring about the previous issue with the labeling coming off over time, the team at Blüh Alchemy has completely fixed that so it will no longer be an issue with any of their products moving forward. Hero on!

I’m glad to be BH back for three months…Feb box is great. I can’t wait to put in rotation. I”m so glad my stash got a lil low so I have a good excuse now… lol I have the delightful Bluh Alchemy toner but I think from a Laurel and Reed box. I learned so much about what makes my skin look great from sub boxes. What a wonderful way to maintain luxury and EFFECTIVE skin care. Retinols, Peptides, Ceramides Oh My!!! I have the Lil Fox eye oil in rotation now but Marne, you make me want to open the BA… Unlike Luna, I am sucker for an eye rollberball.

😀 I saw an unboxing of it, and it does seem to dispense plenty of product with just a couple of rolls. For some reason I just never liked applying any product to my eyes or face with a rollerball (or products that come in stick form). I know I could just roll it on my finger or remove the rollerball, but eh. lol However, I am a HUGE sucker for a good eye serum (in a dropper or pump form 😉 ). That could easily sell a whole box for me 😀 I really hope you like this one! It does seem pretty awesome 🙂

I am trying to find my favorite skin care box. I signed up for a 3 month sub with Laurel and Ride last month, so after that is up, I think I’ll battle it out between Beauty Heroes or the Detox box. I haven’t been that impressed with Laurel and Reed…

Those are all winners in my book! Enjoy exploring them!

The only thing I don’t like about their packaging is the blue labeling comes off and gets all over my hands and then face :/
Otherwise, great products all around!

I second that emotion!

I had the same thought when these came in but so far the Botanic Retinol hasn’t rubbed off at all. The eye serum doesn’t have the same issue, so all good on that one.

Luna

Ya, that’d be nice if they tried to fix it. I saw where someone reached out to them about it, but they just recommended wiping the bottles with a tissue to get the remaining print off the bottle.

I love this sub box! Using last months Ranavat’s products with this months Blüh products makes me feel like a queen. Serious top of the line luxury!
