Beauty Heroes Bluh Alchemy Toning Elixir

Blüh Alchemy Toning Elixir, 3.4 oz. – Retail Value $54.00 (found here for $48.00)

This is actually the “sidekick” this month as opposed to the “hero” but I like to review skincare in the order I use it, so I’m bumping this toning mist to the top. I’ve become quite obsessed with toners lately and have amassed quite a collection. Some are similar rosewater varieties but once in a while, I get one that stands out. Enter: this toning elixir.

Beauty Heroes Bluh Alchemy Toning Elixir - back

The first thing I read on the bottle was “finger lime caviar” which sounds so extravagant I almost fainted. I’m a sucker for lime scented skincare since it makes me feel so fresh and awake but I had to learn more about this ingredient because I had never heard of it. Was it true caviar? The answer is no- which I am pleased about. The finger lime is native to Australia and I learned the term “juice vesicles” (also known as pearls) from the wiki page and that they are referred to as “lime caviar” due to the visual similarity to fish eggs. COOL! I am seriously into this. This mist also includes hyaluronic acid which I recently learned about and is ultra hydrating for our skin. This bottle delivers a really fine mist which I’ve said before is ESSENTIAL in a toner, and it really perks me up physically and mentally. Not only can this be used to prep skin before serums and moisturizers, but also throughout the day when your skin feels dull or needs a little pick-me-up.

Beauty Heroes Bluh Alchemy Multi C Serum

Blüh Alchemy Multi C Serum, 1 oz. – Retail Value $155.00

I always get super excited when I see such a high valued item in a subscription box because feeling like a fancy luxurious woman is all I’ve ever wanted. After cleansing my face and using the above toning elixir, I turned to this bottle packed with all sorts of ingredients to make my skin bright, glowing, and plump.

Beauty Heroes Bluh Alchemy Multi C Serum - back

Using Kakadu Plum (the world’s highest source of stable Vitamin C), Kangaroo Paw Flower (best name), and Quandong, this serum is ethically sourced and 100% plant-based which makes me sleep a little better at night. Also- check out how pretty the back of this bottle is!

The color of this serum is a little shocking at first, but I immediately settle into the idea as I pump two drops into my fingertips to apply to my face and neck. It has a scent they describe as “floral-citrus” which I agree with. It’s really uplifting and prominent although not overwhelming. This almost has a mango puree sort of feeling to it but is also really hydrating while applying. It quickly dries and starts to make my face feel slightly tight which isn’t odd for a serum but quite different than the oils I’ve been using lately. I let it soak for a few minutes before adding my moisturizer on top and my skin is immediately glowing and fresh feeling. I’m very into the ritual of this one and can’t wait to see what results prolonged use brings.

Verdict: This month’s Beauty Heroes box has a value of a truly awesome $209.00! Since each box has a cost of $42.95, and both products are ones that delight me, I’m over the moon. I would have never known about Blüh Alchemy without this subscription, so being able to discover new brands that use high end plant-based ingredients is a gift. This one is definitely focused on delivering quality over quantity.

  1. I am with most, would love to have this sub but 3 months up front scares me.

  2. Must.Control.Myself.From.Buying.More.Products.No.Matter.Their.Excellence!

    **sigh**

    • It can be hard, right? Even with all of the products I review, there are still some things I have to exercise serious self-control not to order… It is a sickness! 😉

  3. The backs of the bottles are so pretty! I’m quite a stickler for making sure my products are always facing out, but when I saw how beautiful the backs of the bottles were I immediately knew I was going to make an exception my rule. 🙂

    • I absolutely love the packaging. Almost more than what the actual product is ha ha

      • Lol! I think I’m the same way with some products. Sometimes I just want it FOR the packaging! 😀

  4. Not gonna lie, I want this box so badly. But I hate that I have to commit to 3 months straight. I wish they would allow us to skip a month. I have a few other beauty boxes and I know already that next month I’m receiving a full size moisturizer and face mask. Plus I have 2 full size oils and a repair serum. Last month they featured hair care so I know the next boxes won’t be that.

Well 13 more days to be tempted. Does anyone know if they release spoilers for April before the 20th of this month?

    • Spoilers are always at the 1st of the month. Hope that helps.

      • Unfortunately Liz, it doesn’t help. 🙁 I have to subscribe by the 20th this month to get this box. If I just knew what next month’s box is going to be I’d feel better committing to 3 months. As long as it’s not a moisturizer or exfoliater I’ll be fine. Ughhhh decisions, decisions…

        • Perhaps looking at past boxes and their instagram posts will be helpful. It’ll give you a sense of how they’ve approached spring boxes in the past. You might find some hints about upcoming boxes 🙂

    • No, they usually don’t release spoilers until around the 1st of the month.

    • I agree, this box looks great but forcing 3 month minimum is a huge turn off. Especially since they don’t allow you to skip months. I would have been uninterested in the June? July? all hair box.

      • You can write into the Beauty Heroes customer care email address and let them know if there are product types that you aren’t interested in receiving, like hair care. They can assist you in skipping a month that contains those products.

    • Not sure how much this helps, but sometimes if the boxes don’t sell out, you can contact them the first week of the next month and ask to start with the previous month. (That’s what I did when I first signed up.) Of course I’m sure it depends on inventory, but they didn’t mind sending me the previous month and were very nice about it.

      • Great tip, DL! Thank you for sharing!

      • Thanks for the tip, I just hope that they don’t sell out and the next month’s box is as great as this one!

    • What box r u talking about. I need a new beauty box.. thank you

    • Which box do u get @Stephanie? I need some more beauty boxes … not really but I want to start trying boxes like this bc my acne is back and I’ve tried almost everything… thank you

    • If you know that there are product types or ingredients that you don’t want to receive, you can always let the Beauty Heroes customer care team know, and they can assist you in skipping months that you aren’t interested in or cannot use. If you aren’t interested in receiving hair care, for instance, they can assist you in skipping months that feature those products. Hope this helps!

  5. This subscription is one of my all time favorites! I loved both of the skincare items from this month’s box. So worth the price!!

  6. Oh this looks fantastic!
