Style Plan by Frank And Oak Men's Review - Winter Denim + Plaid
This month, John wasn't able to choose his items, so I chose for him. Let's see what he thinks!
The Dylan Slim Stretch Denim in Navy, 34 x 34 - Retail Price $79.50, Member Price $73.50
The Dylan is a slim cut jean made of 99% Organic cotton and 1% Spandex. The denim has just enough stretch to make it comfortable to move and to retain its shape even after several years. The cut is quite a bit slimmer than John is used to but he likes the look with the solid dark wash and contrast stitching. His size only comes in the 34" length which, as you can see from how he cuffed them, will need to be hemmed.
Plush Plaid Shirt in Turtledove, L - Retail Price $69.50, Member Price $62.50
This is such a good plaid for John. The green, navy, and maroon shades fit into his wardrobe seamlessly and can be layered with many of his existing shirts. The fabric, which is 96.5% Cotton and 3.5% Spandex, is thick, plush, and perfect for cold weather. It's also wrinkle-resistant and easy to travel with. John has found that some shirts from F+O are too long for his torso. Since he really likes them, he's decided to take them to get hemmed. I think this is a great idea for clothes of higher quality since it will give him a more custom fit.
Raglan Sleeve Boucle Crewneck in Estate Blue, L - Retail Price $79.50, Member Price $69.50
I'm not trying to toot my own horn here, but this sweater was a great pick! The color looks great on John and the fit is perfect. The boucle material is made of 42% Cotton, 26% Acrylic, 25% Nylon, 4% Wool, and 3% Spandex. It's so soft and warm without being thick. I love the texture of boucle because it has variations in color and depth. This sweater does require more care when washing than some of the others John has gotten from F+O. He'll need to hand wash – he'll most likely put it in a wash bag and delicate cycle – and lay flat to dry.
The Verdict: Since John started receiving Style Plan by Frank And Oak, his wardrobe has not only improved in style but also fit and quality. He and I both are always impressed by the quality, thoughtful design details, and comfort factor of their clothing. And, they work hard to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. The price vs. quality is awesome, and we've had positive experiences with the Frank And Oak Customer Service when we have had questions.
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each Style Plan by Frank And Oak box is catered to your own preferences so you’ll most likely have different options than John. The good news is that you can sign up for your own Style Plan to see what the styling team will pick for you!
Value Breakdown: The retail price for the three items John received this month is $228.50, but the member price is $205.50. That’s a saving of $23 for this particular box.
