Pura Vida Bracelet Club January 2020 Review

It looks like Pura Vida has changed up their packaging a bit and they sent this cute fold-out card that tells a little bit about their company and how they give back. This card also includes a nice thank you for your support as well as a cute sticker hidden behind that fun pineapple at the end of the card!

The Dawn Set

This month we received The Dawn Set. Your bracelets will arrive in a small drawstring bag with the Pura Vida Monthly Club logo on the outside. These bags are great for storing your bracelets or taking them with you when you travel.

Sunrise Charm Bracelet

Our first bracelet is a pretty lavender bracelet with this great sun charm with a tiny little fleck of sparkle in the center of it. This is kind of an abstract looking charm and I think it's great! I also really like the purple color, although as a whole this pack definitely reads more like a spring pack than one for January thanks to the pastel shades.

Here it is on. Such a unique charm!

Winterfresh Original Bracelet

This bracelet is a simple design with mint green strings but at the back, it has that same beautiful lavender color as our charm bracelet which really ties them together well.

Here it is on. I love the two-tone look even though you can't see the purple from the top.

Sun Ray Bracelet

I love everything about this bracelet, except for those little silver pieces! I just think it's such a pretty bracelet otherwise and while it definitely makes the bracelet more unique, those little bars don't seem to want to stay in place and go all wonky which takes away from the beautiful look of those eye-catching beads. I love the way the color of the beads ties into our Winterfresh bracelet, too.

Here it is on. While I got the bars to mostly stay down for the photos, you can see they are apt to go whichever way they please.

Parfait Pink Faceted Bead Bracelet

I really love this last bracelet, but it felt so out of place to me in the pack. I love the color and I really like the faceted silver beads (which I guess tie into the silver of our charm bracelet?) so I will definitely be wearing this one, but I probably won't pair it with the other bracelets from this pack.

Here it is on. Love the beads!

Here they all are paired together. I do love that we received four bracelets this month, so maybe I'll think of that pink one as a bonus!

Look how nicely these three go together! They feel so much more cohesive to me this way!

I love that these bracelets feature bands that you can adjust to fit your wrists comfortably. If the bracelet ends are too long on your wrist, check out this YouTube tutorial on how to shorten the ends!

The threads are also coated in wax, which means you can wear them at the beach or in the shower if you're too lazy to remove them like I am! These bracelets definitely hold up over time, which is one of the many reasons I love them.

The Verdict: I think I have more feelings about this month's Pura Vida Bracelet Club bracelets than I should have. Overall, I liked the pack and though each bracelet was really pretty, and I think it's pretty awesome that we received an extra bracelet this month, too. As a whole though, this felt more like a spring set with those pastel colors and that pink bracelet just did not vibe well with the others for me. I also really wish that I could take those silver bars off the Sun Ray bracelet, but I could totally be alone in my thoughts here. I love seeing what they will send each month and I think it's such a fun subscription for $14.95 per month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the February pack. From Pura Vida:

Orders ship within 4-5 days of purchase. Your card will be charged $14.95 + tax on the 7th of each month, and your pack will arrive around the 15th.

ACTIVE DEAL: Free Shipping on US Orders $45+. No coupon needed - just use this link.

Value Breakdown: At $14.95 for this box, you're paying about $3.74 for each bracelet.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

I love the little silver spikes everyone hates they’re so cute they even look better that they don’t stay in place ❤

Kristin

I actually like the silver bars if they would lay right.

This didn’t feel January to me either. Actually for me I think something that echos a bit of the snow and ice would work better, with a touch of warm cozy in front of the fire. However I am older.
I like the blue stone bracelet but not the spikes. Replace those with a bright white bead or silver spacer bead.

Yes! A bright white bead would look so pretty in between them!

I agree with you on all counts. I thought it was a cute batch, but didn’t feel “January” to me. And my husband thought the spikes looked dangerous, lol. Kinda unnecessary to have them.

Brandi D.

Haha they do look slightly dangerous!

You are not alone in your opinion of the Sun Ray bracelet! I ordered this set to give to my youngest teen who never remembers to take off her jewelry at bedtime. Not sure she’ll want to wear this one while sleeping 😕 I keep thinking she’ll be getting poked all night long. I do like the other three this month.

Brandi D.

Yeah it might not be the most comfortable one to sleep in! 😕

I don’t like the silver bars either. I get pastels because clothing trends are back with that for the winter. I was hoping for a winter white set. I never got that snowflake set from a couple of years ago. Purple is my favorite color so I will get use out of it.

Brandi D.

I would love a winter white too!
