I’m assuming this is for the lunar new year since it says “at the start of the new year” (it’s a little past the Gregorian calendar’s new year for me to think it’s meant for the Gregorian calendar + the lunar new year is the day after this post was put up). But a quick google search shows japan doesn’t celebrate the lunar new year, and none of these products seem Japanese/Asian either for it to be a japanese box??

What a disappointment! I thought it’d be all j-beauty! And that price is stupid ridiculous for what they put in that box. I’d feel like I’m losing $$

That price tho 😱

Wow, I was excited for a minute because I thought these would be all Japanese products.

$100? Totally not worth it.

I do not understand this box. Plus they are just promoting mostly their own products and so many of them are UK based, even the ones that aren’t owned by them. Per one of the sites:
“The Hut Group’s primary focus is health, beauty, prestige, and nutrition related consumer good and the company owns and operates many leading brands including LookFantastic.com, ESPA, Grow Gorgeous, Mio Skincare, Illamasqua and MyProtein.com”

Thank you for good information, I never know that…😊

I had a similar Mio product in a BeautyFix box some months ago, and wasn’t impressed. And if you’ve subbed to beauty boxes for six months of your life, then you’ve already tried this Dr. Brandt product.

Only the Prai excites me, and that’s not enough to trigger a purchase here.

For me, the Espa caught my attention right away, but I priced it, and it’s not worth it to me to get the box mostly for that (even though I would use most everything else in the box).

Luna,
Have you seen the new Net a Porter set ?

Laura

Just guessung, but maybe these are best-sellers for customers in Japan?

Ella

That’s possible.

But I don’t know if that warrants a special box. I’d think that would be more like a “recommended” or “fan favorites” list.

For me, a Japan box would have something distinctly Japanese, like a birds’ nest mask. Or if we’re talking mainstream, anything Shu Uemura or Shiseido or even Tatcha.

Waiting on their valentine box

That Prai product is wonderful.

I was excited until I saw basically none of these products are Japanese. Wtf look fantastic?

You can call it a Japanese box by putting cherry blossoms on it ? 🤔🤔

GMForever

Hihi!

Tat

And Japan has to do with this how?

Ella

I know, right?! Just because there are cherry blossoms on the box doesn’t qualify this as a Japan box to me. Inspired or otherwise.

I have leftover french fries from last night. You won’t hear me proclaiming I ate French food just because my pommes frites came with a burger.
