  1. How can we get notifications for Play by Sephora Luxe?? I really missed on it today!!

  2. I got my rouge 2018 so that I could get early access to these Play luxe boxes. They are basically the only reason that I try to maintain my Rouge status. I’m just glad that I had two alarms on the release day and have a bunch of friends who check periodically to see if it’s alive or not so I was able to get my boxes. It sucks that Sephora doesn’t save stocks for VIB or BI members, but if they do, I won’t make any attempt to maintain my Rouge because to be honest, I don’t think it’s worth it (on the other hand I reached Ulta diamond first time this year and one month in I already see how worthy it is, I purchased a Dyson dryer with 20% off and multiple points bonus, eventually I paid $320 and got back $150 points. Sephora will never beat that).

    I guess all I’m trying to say is that you either get Rouge to get these luxe boxes or pay $10-15 extra to buy them from Mercari/eBay which is hassle free. That’s how Sephora wants to maintain its rouge customers

    • I’ve been Rouge for years and I was not able to get one.

  3. Sephora should hold back some stock for those who are not Rouge member’s. Upsetting it was out of stock since yesterday.

    • I agree! I’m rouge and didn’t want one but checked anyway and could never purchase it. Seems silly! At least they limited this one to two per customer.

  4. Why is this out of stock? The only thing giving it value is the La Mer and that has been in most Play luxe boxes.

    • Right! And it’s not that great anyway. This luxe box was not appealing to me.

  5. Just as I expected – out of stock. I’ll keep checking through the day but not constantly as I have better stuff to do with my time. Has anyone got this today on the 19th?

  7. Got me one today around 12:30pm as I am rouge. It said there was a limit of 2. But I only got one as it is for myself and it’s almost Christmas and everyone should be able to get one if they want. Goodluck tomorrow on getting one.

    • It says it’s available for Rouge now

    • Keep checking. It’s back in stock as of 1:02pm Pacific.

  9. I am Rouge and when I looked an hour after the release, I am unable to purchase. Did they really sell out that fast or are they restocking?

    • It’s available again.

      • It is not, still 🙁

      • I have been checking periodically all day and have yet to see it available. I will keep checking. Maybe it’s a sign I don’t need it 😉 Thank you for your help though!

  11. I got one even though I don’t really need it, but my Rouge is not getting renewed next year, so I splurged a bit at the end of free shipping.

    • Me too, plus they randomly sent me a 20% off coupon code this morning so it only cost me $20.

    • VIBRouge access starts at 9 am PT so I assume the same will hold tomorrow for everyone else.

      They state that there is a limit of two per person.

  13. I hope all the people who are saying they are not getting this are telling the truth as these have been hard to get. I got the last one, but the ones before were sold out before I could get my hands on one

  14. I don’t get the le mer cult following. Mineral oil is the major ingredient. Cost does not always equal quality.

      • Clever marketing and a high price do the trick.

    • I don’t get it, either. I got a sample from allure once, and it was so highly fragranced, and it did nothing for my skin. It got tossed

      • Yep, I got that Allure sample too and it did do something for my skin – it broke me out. Tossed it.

      • Agree. I usually use up samples unless they make me react badly, but the scent on the La Mer was so bad and the texture was like glue. It seemed and smelled like the kind of thing that women would put on their face in the ’50s before we knew better than to put mineral oil on our face. Threw it out.

      • It’s La Mer- Fancy packaging, good marketing and a high price makes it seem worth it.

        I’ve seen people buy multiple boxes , take out the most ‘ expensive’ items and sell the rest.

    • This! I got a sample from them of their Creme de la mer and it broke my face out so bad with tiny little pimples. I was dealing with it for months.

    • La Mer is amazing, mineral oil or not. I am extremely dry and it is one of the few moisturizers I can rely on to soothe my skin.

  15. I like it. Those are all useful products, I like the brands and I love that fragrance! Depending on the price, I might grab it.

  22. I’m actually happy that this isn’t enticing to me 😂 I need to stop spending! Looks decent but nothing that jumps out that I have to have. I love getting la mer cream but nothing else is that exciting. Or I’m just on overload!

  23. I don’t need anything in this one. Nothing tempting, either. I froze spending at this time. Hit my budget cap.

  24. I got one of the last Luxe bags and loved it. It introduced me to Black Orchid, which I then purchased full size, and I’ve been trying out (and enjoying so far) the skincare. This one isn’t doing it for me though. I think it’s the hair products that are duds for me.

    • I agree. I’m never very excited to get shampoo and conditioner.

      • Haha, they’re the only things in the bag I’d want to try!

      • The shampoo and conditioner are great. They are what I use all the time. I haven’t found anything that compares.

      • Me too! I love trying new hair care products! I wish there was a sub that was all haircare! I can usually tell by the first or second use if something will work for my hair so samples would be fine.
