This Makeup Eraser is a joke. What are we supposed to do with a 2” square cloth??? I think my 7-year-old can possibly use it as a Barbie washcloth.

i felt the same way at first & it sat around for months before i started using it as a reusable cotton round. i like it so much better than the disposable cotton and really appreciate the size for this use.

that’s what i use them for too!! last year i swore off makeup remover wipes and cotton rounds when i was reminded by seeing gloves and masks EVERYWHERE on the ground. i realized Covid was going to un-do YEARS of not using plastic bottles/containers & refusing plastic bags at the store. I welcome the makeup eraser samples! I just don’t use them with water, I use micellar water or use them to gently wipe away excess cleansing balm around my eyes or my lips if i’ve used a matte liquid lippie.

My box hasn’t shipped yet. It still says In Progress. 🙁

I really hope whatever they replace this with ships to Canada!

I got box 924 – maybe. That’s my item # in both my purchase history and on the box, but the items I received are different from what is showing as my “current box” on my account. Anyway, this is what I received:

– MAKEUP ERASER The Original MakeUp Eraser® Makeup Remover Cloth
– IT COSMETICS Secret Sauce Anti-Aging Moisturizer
– FRESH Soy Face Cleansing Milk
– BELIF Moisturizing Eye Bomb
– MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Color Pencil
– KVD VEGAN BEAUTY Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick

Oh, and I got a sheet of stickers. Um, ok.

Also, I’m laughing a bit at the color pencil – it’s multi and supposedly can be used for lips, eyebrows, eyes and cheeks… but the shade is mauve. I would like to know when mauve eyebrows became a thing?

Overall I’m ok with the box – I’m a fan of IT cosmetics and haven’t tried this particular cream so I’m happy for that, and I’ll use the makeup eraser and the pencil (just not on my brows). The rest I’ll probably get around to using at some point.

Bye Play! by Sephora, we had a decent run.

I think this is my box 😩. I’ve received the soy face cleanser and belief items in countless boxes. Ugh. I also have no interest KVD’s line. So disappointed yet again, but glad they made the decision to revamp the program. I was probably going to cancel anyway.

I am not a subscriber but I would totally buy this box if this goes on sale

Same pooja! That’s what I’m trying to find out if we can purchase it!

Lauren

thanks! I have #924. I am glad to know I will be getting the make-up eraser and the It Cosmetics Moisturizer!

Indeed I did. And you felt the urge to make a post about my post? So perhaps you should get over yourself?? Or maybe we could all just be adults and recognize that different people choose to post about different things, sometimes insightful or helpful and sometimes silly or seemingly unnecessary. And FWIW, I’m hardly the first person on MSA to have done a sub-post to address a typo since there’s no edit feature. Do you choose to belittle each one of them too for no apparent reason, or did I just get lucky? I hope you are just having an off day, and I hope belittling me made you feel better. And I do genuinely hope things get better for you soon.

I got my box today, which is odd since they didn’t send out a notification that it shipped.
#866:

amika soulfood nourishing mask
shiseido ultimate sun protection lotion wetforce spf 50+
fresh soy face cleanser 🙄
belif moisturizing eye bomb
makeup eraser
clinique popsplash lipgloss in 12 rosewater

certainly not a bad box for me, except i hate pink glosses and glitter glosses and unfortunately for me that gloss is HOT pink with gold glitter. I guess it wouldn’t be a subscription box without at least one thing that I am going to give to my sister immediately.

I also got a little sheet of stickers, is this the extra item for long term subscribers?? I graduated from high school over 15 years ago so the time for stickers as a relevant gift has long gone. Oh, sephora. I thought maybe they’d be chucking in an extra makeup item. I guess I never learn.

I’m getting this one too, but that Clinique lipgloss isn’t even in the spoiler video! I’m kinda disappointed because I wanted the lipstick.

Abigail Smith

EXACTLY!!!

Makes you think they suddenly discovered a pile of Clinique lip gloss in a hideous color to randomly ship out.

There was no typing back to profiles for this close out box.

hannah

bummed this is my box :/ i’ve had that shiseido sunscreen before and really didn’t like it so was hoping i’d get to try the other one. also just bought 2 eye creams so really dont need the belief one. dont really like the soy cleanser either but i’m sure i’ll still use it. would’ve rather gotten to try the origins and it cosmetics face creams.

although i am excited about the make up eraser and i’d rather have the clinique lip gloss than the bare minerals lipstick in that awful mauve-y rose-y shade sephora always chooses. the other make up items are super repetitive so i’m glad those arent in this box either. sephora really didnt go out with a bang for me.

I’m hoping to get the makeup eraser cloth. I was just looking them up online yesterday.

me too!!

Can you buy this box if you weren’t a subscriber?

I don’t generally complain about my sub boxes, but I’m kind of glad Sephora took the cancelation decision out of my hands by no longer doing this box. I look at that list and I literally have had everything but the Shiseido sun spray in a box before. I’ve been trying to use up a lot of the samples I already have during this shelter at home time and it has made it clear how many things I have that are repeats.

It’s been fun (mostly) Sephora, but I don’t think I’ll miss you that much. It’s been easy to keep you around because you were “only” $10 a month. I’ll be much more selective with the new, more expensive boxes and only purchase if they have things I actually want in them.

Aryana

I agree! I was so close to unsubscribing because of so many repeat samples but I would always talk myself out of it. Glad they made the decision for me! 😂

Lol they really didn’t go out with a bang….hopefully what they come out with in the future will be an improvement, I think Play has just run its course. I’d rather purchase the Luxe boxes at this point. If they come out with another monthly subscription I would subscribe again

Ruth

Well, that ended not with a bang but a whimper.

Also it looks like my original tracking number got replaced with another one. Both Sephora and Usps say my box should arrive Saturday, but I’ve already had it for a few days. Maybe that happened to other people, too.
