October 2019 Sisley Paris “The Classics” Box Review

Each box comes with a card indicating the theme of the box. This month focuses on Sisley Classics!

Now, let’s check out the items!

Every month, the products come nestled inside a satin pouch. This month, the pouch is a pale pink!

Black Rose Precious Face Oil, 0.01 fl oz – Estimated Value $2.80 (Buy a full-size 0.84 oz for $235.00)

This was a repeat for me, but you guessed it, I am thrilled! I love this rose face oil. It does indeed feel so over-the-top luxurious. I actually have a smaller dropper bottle that I pour these little dot samples into (I have gotten a few) just to make them last longer. This oil makes your skin feel like velvet and the scent is just amazing. Filled with omegas 3 and 6, this luxe oil helps with fine lines over time as well as giving your skin optimal hydration and softness.

Sisleya L’Integral Anti-Age Wrinkle Serum, 2 ml – Estimated Value $36.00 (Buy a full-size 30 ml version for $540.00)

This anti-wrinkle serum has a slick texture that is similar to a watery gel. It has an ingredient list boasting peptides and rare botanical extracts, all of which together work to instantly improve skin texture and over time (2 months is the timeframe mentioned on the site) reduce wrinkles and fine lines. This little tube isn’t enough to last me that long, but I do love the immediate brightness it gives my skin, especially under my eyes!

Ecological Compound, 10 ml – Estimated Value $20.83 (Buy a full-size 120 ml for $250.00)

This is likely Sisley’s most popular product and it is certainly a cult favorite. This lightweight cream is a daily moisturizer filled with Centella Asiatica, horsetail, ginseng, rosemary, and other botanicals that hydrate your skin and improve its health and texture over time. I always love getting a sample of this because it smells incredible and leaves my skin perfectly primed for makeup. My skin looks brighter the whole day and I feel very fancy!

Phyto-Eye Twist in #1 Topaze, 1 g – Estimated Value $33.33 (Buy a full-size 1.5 g for $50.00)

We actually received this same sample last month, but it is so, so good! I am happy to have a backup in my rotation. This crayon is super smooth and a great brown tone for many skin tones. I usually sweep it over my entire lid and blend upwards to my crease for a sheer, easy to wear, daily look. You can always add more for bolder color. It absolutely wears miles better than so many other crayons I have tried and the creasing is minimal on my lids.

A wonderful, soft brown.

Izia Perfume, 1.4 ml – Estimated Value $3.08 (Buy a full-size 100 ml for $220.00)

Finally, our last sample is a mini spritz of the bougie Izia perfume. I say this with love! I truly feel like someone who owns a beach home when I wear this soft blend of rose and woods.

Verdict: Sisley had a value of around $96.04 for this box. (Keep in mind I come to this estimation based on the full-size values.) This was an excellent assortment and really a great representation of some of Sisley’s best products. There were some old favorites in here this month that I am tickled to see again, namely the rose oil, eye crayon, and perfume.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Does the final box being in Jan. include the free subscription that is supposed to be included for Gold and Platinum members? I feel kinda cheated if they are not going to provide the rewards that I earned. Are they going to provide a refund to subscribers? Sort sad that this subis ending.

    • I found this on their website:
“Purchasers of the Beauty Subscription: The balance of any remaining Beauty Subscription boxes left on the Purchaser’s account will be refunded back to the Purchaser in the same method of original payment.

My Sisley Club Gold & Platinum Complimentary Subscriptions: The My Sisley Club program is being enhanced and new benefits and rewards are being established to reward your loyalty. The new program details will be announced in early Spring 2020.”

  2. Oh no! I think my sub ends in Dec or Jan. I can’t believe they are discontinuing it. It’s my absolute favorite sub and the one I actually use ALL the products.

  3. Please let us know if they are planning to come back. This was one subscription that has been on my wish list. Very sad it is no more.

    • It looks like the January box will be the final one sadly. Per Sisley: The Beauty Subscription has been discontinued and unavailable for purchase Effective November 1st, 2019. The Final Beauty Subscription boxes will be shipped to existing enrolled clients through January 2020.

      • Thanks for the information. Has anyone been able to find spoilers for the December box?

  4. I hope Sisley will bring back this sub.. I subbed for two years and took some break due to overload. I tried to sign up again and it wasn’t available. So sad.
Looks like the post needs some updating on sub info.

    • Such a bummer. Great catch though everyone, I thank you! Even I had no idea. I have updated the top of this post with info regarding the discontinuation. 🙁

  5. Is this subscription still available? I don’t see how to sign up on their site when I follow the link above …

    • Unfortunately, they are not accepting new subscriptions.

  6. Sadly, December is my last month and they are no longer accepting new orders for the sub. I hope they honor my Platinum sub for next year. I really love their products.

  7. I paid for this subscription for a couple of years.. Now, not. It seems to be repeats, although great, and like maybe Sisley has lost interest in curation.

Anyone else feel the inspired choices are gone? It’s a HUGE line of beauty in Paris, I saw it when I’ve been there, and what they are offering is so sad BECAUSE they have so many many products!!

The only possible items they can’t export to the US are the European sunscreen- containing products which are not approved by our FDA.

I wonder if an email or social media campaign in support of the subscription would help them realize people want it to continue and with newer products?
