JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes and accessories subscription that allows you to shop in two ways – you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Style quiz to note your size and style preferences.
  • Each month, JustFab releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your preferences which you can view in your personalized Boutique.
  • Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Inside my package were a few inserts and coupons for Lola and Hello Fresh. Marne tackled everything you need to know about this popular meal kit in her all-encompassing Hello Fresh review.

Twist Front Top in Ponderosa Pine, Size L – Retail Value $35.95, VIP Price $24.95

This top turned out to be a great selection! I loved the color and the fun knot detail at the front, but even better, this top is so soft and comfortable! It is a medium-weight sweater that has a bit of stretch to it and I love the way the fabric gathers together in the center to form the knot for a subtle and interesting way to break up the solid color. This great color is called Ponderosa Pine and it’s sort of teal with a hint of green to it which feels like such a fitting color for fall and the upcoming winter holidays! This one will be just as cozy with a pair of leggings, too. As for fit, this month I went straight for a large, since I’ve found that their clothing runs a bit smaller than most and I was happy with the fit. Their size chart lists a large as 8-10, which I would normally consider a medium, and since I am somewhere between a 10 and 12 these days, I felt much more comfortable sizing up.

Voss Strap Ankle Booties in Olive, Size 9.5 – Retail Value $59.95, VIP Price $39.95

I saw these booties and had to have them, but the color was a big concern for me! On their website, they appear to be a beautiful rich brown color, which I happen to be looking for, but the color is listed as olive. I took a chance, knowing it could backfire, and sure enough, these boots are much more olive than the photos online! I still really love the boots – the style and strap details are great and I think I like the olive color, but I’m not so sure how they will pair with my clothing! In studio-lighting, they do appear very green, but I found the color changed a bit in other types of lighting.

I would actually go as far as to say these are some sort of chameleon booties because you can see how much the color changed when I brought them outside! Even to my eyes, they looked much different in natural light and appeared more brown. These are a tiny bit tight at the ankle, but I think once they stiffness works itself out, these will be just as comfortable as the other boots I have from JustFab. So while the color is not what I was expecting, I am pretty happy with these!

Here you can see them with the top. They definitely appear brown here, but what would you wear these “chameleon” boots with? Or better yet, what should I NOT wear them with?

The Verdict: Now that I have ordered a few tops from Just Fab I am getting a feel for their sizing and fit and this month I fared much better than last month. The top is beautiful and so soft and I was much happier with the fit since I sized up. I also really love the booties, although I am disappointed in the color difference from the photos online. To be fair, they are listed as olive, I just wish I knew what color they consider those booties pictured though because I need whatever that color is! I do want to note, that usually there are no issues with the color being different than they appear online – I have several other pairs of boots and booties from this company, and this is the first time I’ve had this issue! Overall, I scored a pretty decent deal this month since they were having a sale and I got the boots for $27.96 and the top for $17.46 for a total of $48.15 with taxes and free shipping which is a savings of $19.48 off the VIP retail value of $64.90! Whenever you can take advantage of their sales, it’s definitely worth it!

              To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Both the top and booties are still available.

Value Breakdown: The total retail value for both pieces is $95.90, and the VIP price is $64.90. That’s a discount of about 32%. With their sale, I only paid $48.15 which is a 50% savings off retail and 26% off the VIP price.

              1. My experience with JustFab was that the quality was pretty bad, but the prices were good, so these were more “throw away” styles. I am really happy to hear that some people have been able to wear some shoe styles to death, because it takes quite a bit of wear-time for anyone to feel that they got that type of value from a pair of shoes (or an item of clothing). Like Fabletics, JustFab sales are where I saved the money I allocated for this brand, which is where you will get most items for very little money.

              2. What sizes do they offer? Looked on their website but couldn’t find that info.

                • Clothing in XXS to 3X and shoes they offer 5.5 to 12 in regular or wide. For boots they also have an additional option for regular or wide calf! I’ll be sure to add that info to my next review! Thanks, Kimberly!

                  • Thank you! That’s super helpful. 🙂

              3. Hi, I’m not sure I understand the promo, so I can pick out a couple of items for $10 for my first time? Thanks!

                • Hi Melissa! It’s actually a bit confusing how it works! They say your first style is $10 but that’s really only for one item and then that gives you membership and access to shop the site at VIP prices. While most items will be $10, a few may be a little bit more – it’s really the equivalent to 75% off your first item. They will offer further discounts at checkout -right now I think it’s get 2 more styles for an additional $39.95 – so you could end up getting like 3 pairs of boots (or your clothing of choice) for around $50 which can be a pretty good deal. You sort of have to shop the site and add things to your cart and see how it works out cost wise! It’s a little complicated, but then you have access to all of their great sales – you just have to remember to either skip next month or purchase something so you don’t get charged! Hope that clears it up a little!

                  • Thank you so much Brandi!!!

              4. I think olive is a great choice for your complexion and hair color!

                • Thank you! 🙂

                  • Agreed! Olive is great! I have a few pairs of olive ankle boots from Just Fab that I’ve had for 2 and 3 years and have worn them to death!!! I consider them just a more interesting neutral so wear them with jeans just as I would tan or black or brown. They look great but are just a touch more adventurous. Wear them with everything!!!

                    • Yay! That’s great! I can’t wait to experiment with them! 🙂 Thanks, Chelsea!
