LUV.P Sunblock UV Mild Cica, 1.35 oz. – Listed Value $18.00

Even though the sun disappears by the time I leave work now, sunblock is still a must, year-round. This physical sunblock from LUV.P is safe for even the most sensitive skin and contains tea tree, green tea, houttuynia cordata, and Centella Asiatica essence. The medium-thick opaque white cream becomes clear once it’s absorbed into the skin and has a subtle scent that is almost floral but not overpowering. I like the feel of it and have been using it as a moisturizer after cleansing and using a serum.

ATRUE Violet Petal Black Tea Hydrating Moisturizer, 120 ml – Retail Value $20.72

This full-size moisturizer smells fantastic with the help of black tea and violet. It seems kind of thin at first, but once it’s smoothed onto my skin it has a really deeply hydrating feel to it that feels more luxurious than expected. Although it was nice at first, it made my skin feel a bit tacky which isn’t exactly what I’m looking for, so I may be passing this one on to a friend.

Passioncat Twist Velvet Tint in No. 7 Coral – Retail Value $16.00

Korean beauty usually has some really innovative products and this is one of them. I can’t recall using a soft round applicator like this recently and the formula of this “velvet tint” is pretty unique. First, I needed to twist the bottom to get the lip color to start coming through the applicator, then I was able to easily spread it across my lips. I thought the round tip would make it harder than a point, but it was actually lovely. The formula is incredibly soft and almost like a powder once it’s on. It transfers slightly but not much and it keeps my lips feeling really smooth and moisturized. I kind of love the color I received that they call coral and it’s a little on the redder side of that. Soooo creamy!

LB Cosmetics Dr. Care Solution Ampoule Mask – Listed Value $7.00

I wore this mask one morning after my shower before getting ready for work. It contains alcohol which I could tell faintly by the smell and although this mask was alright, it really didn’t stand out from the rest and wow me. The sheet had a ton of gel-like serum on it which I admittedly wrang a little of out to cut down on messiness. It did fit my face pretty well but even after taking it off and waiting quite a while, my face still felt a little sticky which I really dislike. I don’t think this mask was for me.

Sally’s Box Friendly Cherry Blossom Hand Mask – Estimated Value $3.00 (Buy 5 here for $15.00, currently on sale for $10.00)

On the other hand (see what I did there?), this hand mask was a real treat. I like wrapping goopy plastic around my limbs, so shoving my hands into lotioned gloves was super fun. Although I could sort of still use my phone, it forced me to do nothing for about 10 minutes while I let it work its hand-softening magic. I also need to mention that I just love the girl on the front of the package. The face she is making makes me giggle. My hands did feel ridiculously moisturized and soft after taking the masks off and this is something I’d definitely love to do more often.

Verdict: This month’s JoahBox had five items with a heavy lean towards skincare. The lip tint and the hand mask were definitely my favorites but the sunblock will also come in handy for me. It has a total retail value of about $64.72 which is well over the $35.95 cost so it’s a great deal if you like what’s in the box.
