Bump Boxes October 2019 Review

Each box comes with an info card detailing the items included and expressing the overall theme of the current month's box; this month's theme is "You're One Strong Mama!"

Bella B Body Buzz Post Pregnancy Recovery Cream, 2 oz - Retail Value $6.49

This cream is my very favorite thing in this month's box! It smells like a fresh tropical dream, and it sinks into the skin, instantly softening and moisturizing everything in its path. I know this is meant for post-delivery, but I am tempted to slather it everywhere right now. Recovery cream uses the best safe ingredients to firm skin and to treat cellulite; it is recommended to use all over twice daily, so I better stock up because this 2 oz tube will not last me very long.

BumpLife Journal - Retail Value $10.99

I can always appreciate new stationery since I am constantly writing myself and Ryan reminders, notes and lists. I was very into journaling when I was growing up, and I've slowed down as I aged, but I still love chronicling monthly what is going on in my life and where I am at. This journal is somewhat plain, but I think I will dedicate it specifically to use during maternity leave when baby and I are just starting to get to know each other, so I won't forget a thing.

Hatch Mama Beauty Nipple and Lip Rescue Balm, 1 fl oz - Retail Value $28

I was really happy to see a multitasking item like this in this month's box. I plan on breastfeeding, and I am a firm believer that you (and your nipples!) can never be too prepared! Rescue Balm is a product you can start to use during pregnancy to prep your nipples for breastfeeding, and it can also be used postpartum to help ease discomfort. This balm is much lighter than most I've seen on the market, and the tube packaging will be great to keep in my purse or diaper bag for on the go. Hatch Mama's products are paraben-, fragrance- and phthalate-free, so I can feel good about using this now and when baby arrives.

Bella B Foaming Face Wash, 4 oz - Retail Value $9.99

Face wash, I've realized, has been an unnecessary product in my skincare routine, thanks to microfiber cloths. I still use a cleanser once in a great while, but I don't think I'll ever convert back after seeing the results from going cleanser-free. I did try this foaming face wash to see what it is about, but since it is not suited for my skin type, I was pretty underwhelmed by the results. It is meant to help keep acne at bay for those with oily skin by using ingredients like tea tree oil, so it felt predictably drying on my already dry skin. It is lightly fragranced, too, which is something I also try to avoid in skincare, so this product was just not a great fit for me.

Promise Leg Ease Cooling Spray, 4.8 oz - Retail Value $15

For the last month of my pregnancy, I swear I notice a new part of me that is completely puffed and swollen. Not fun! My legs and feet have been the worst offenders, so you could imagine my excitement when I unboxed this spray. It looks like it is glowing in the picture above because it is heaven-sent! Haha, maybe not, but it did offer temporary relief for my sad cankle situation. Peppermint helps to cool your skin while magnesium eases restless legs and improves blood circulation. This vegan product does not contain any harsh chemicals and is pregnancy safe and gets an A+ from yours truly.

Verdict: This month's Bump Box really gave this mama-to-be a spalike experience. I struggled throughout my pregnancy to find products I deemed worthy to use anywhere on my body with my little sprout in tow, so I can definitely see the benefit of subscribing to a box that takes the mystery out this type of self-care situation. Each item seemed thoughtful, as far as where I am at in my pregnancy, and I will definitely be utilizing almost everything up in this box. October's box has a value of $70.47; not bad for a $39.99 box, and I really love the contents, which makes the box all worth it in the end.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

I received this as a gift and really liked it, I wish I could’ve changed a few options. But overall everything was pretty good.
The only issue I have with them is that I tried to cancel my subscription (lost my job) once I finally got an email back from them, all it said was I could cancel at the end of the subscription. When I tried again (through the live chat, tried calling but no one answered) she told me all she could do was put my sub on hold for a few months. Or if I truly wanted to cancel I would have to pay a fee.
I’ve never had this much issue with canceling anything before!

I’m 6 months pregnant with my first and I’ve been struggling to find products I can use that have any decent reviews on them so thank you for reviewing this! Some of these items look awesome!
