FlourishBox “Summer” 2019 Review

front of info card info card back with information

The first item is the insert card, providing some information on the items you will find in your box. It emphasizes their focus on ethically sourced products. The workers who make these items are paid fairly and work in safe spaces. I think this is really important and this adds so much value to this subscription for me without even knowing what is in it.

Silk and Cotton Scarf

As someone who is really, really into geometric patterns this season, I love this scarf. I also like that it is minimal color-wise: just blue and white. It reminds me of a scarf some fancy interior designer would frame and use as a statement piece of art. Maybe that isn’t a bad idea? Hermes actually sells a kit for this exact purpose because framing their iconic silk scarves has been such a popular trend in home decor. I personally don’t have $570 to spend on MAGNETS, but I can build myself a mean frame from crown molding.

Ok, back to the scarf itself. It is a 50/50 cotton-silk blend and light as a feather! It is also significantly large, measuring 42 inches square. Handmade in India, these beautiful scarves are hand-screened by talented artisans who make a fair wage and work in safe spaces.

Leather Heart Bookmark

I didn’t understand what this cute little heart was until I read the info card. It is actually a bookmark you put on the corner of your page to hold your place. Super cute!

Leather Cuff Bracelet

Finally, our last item is a minimal leather cuff. The leather is incredibly soft and flexible, making this a piece you can wear right away without breaking in. The smaller setting fit my 6.25-inch wrist beautifully.

Verdict: This was my favorite FlourishBox ever. I absolutely love the cotton-silk scarf and I think the colors and design are perfect for my style and very on-trend for fall. I seriously am considering hanging it though… I have the perfect spot at the top of my stairs. The leather accessories were a nice touch too, and I was happy they were made of actual soft leather instead of pleather.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, your first box will be the September box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $39.95 and I received 3 items, which is an average of $13.32 per item.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Thanks Megan, it looks like a very interesting subscription. I wear scarves daily and prefer that they are made with natural fabrics. I also love the look of the leather bracelet.

    • I love that they tend to send cotton/silk/wool blends because I am also a natural fiber kind of gal! Thanks for reading Claire <3
