Rocksbox is a designer jewelry styling and renting service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy the pieces they love most at a discounted price. Right now, you can even get your first month of Rocksbox membership for free! (Read on to learn how, or check out our list of other free subscription boxes here!)
Upon subscribing, you'll take a "style survey," so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wish list. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist.
Try on the items in the box, and wear them as long as you'd like. From there, you have two choices. If you love any of the pieces enough to want to keep them, you can put your monthly "Shine Credit" towards your purchase.
Or, if you're ready for another style, return your box using the free shipping label and reusable envelope you got with your shipment. Shortly after, you'll get a brand new box of jewelry to enjoy!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Rocksbox Rental Jewelry July 2019 Review
Here's the info booklet that came with the jewelry set. It includes a product list with retail and member-specific pricing,
They also included a handy jewelry care card.
A free return shipping label is also at the bottom of the box.
FYI: The outer envelope that Rocksbox ships inside doubles as a return shipping envelope! Be careful as you cut it open—there's a second adhesive strip that can be used to reseal the envelope for its trip back.
Each jewelry item comes tucked inside its own protective pouch that can also be used as a polishing cloth.
Rudiment Lombard Pendant in Gold - Listed Value $70.00, Member Price $59.00
This little gold snake was very sparkly and shiny, but felt really light and not super high-end. This might not matter since it is a rental, but I like my jewels to have some weight to them. It did look really lovely layered with a freshwater pearl necklace I also wear pretty regularly and would make a perfect addition to many different layered looks.
Kendra Scott Aragon Earrings in Gold and Bronzed Veined Turquoise Magnesite - Listed Value $80.00, Member Price $80.00
The Kendra Scott Aragon earring is one of my favorite shapes, and I have reviewed it before. I love turquoise, so when I saw these were a newer color option, I was excited! Sadly, when I opened the box and was really confused by the "stone". TheMagnesite looks like some sort of dyed mosaic with random metallic gold veins. I enjoy Kendra Scott pieces because of the natural materials (think mother of pearl, jasper, etc) and these were a total let down since they look so "manufactured". Meh.
This was the image on the Rocksbox website. It shows a much more genuine looking stone with natural veining.
Rudiment Valencia Tennis Bracelet - Listed Value $70.00, Member Price $59.00
I love anything with eyes, and this bracelet has 14! Each eye is set with a tiny little faceted stone which gives it a little extra sparkle. The closure itself is adjustable, simply slide the golden ball to lengthen or shorten.
The Verdict: Rocksbox again me three pieces all from my wishlist, which I always appreciate! I have mixed feelings about my selections this month, as the earrings were just not what I thought they were and the snake necklace felt super light. I did really adore the eye bracelet, and I might just hang onto it.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every box is different and packed based on the customer's tastes and what's available at the time. You can, however, give the Rocksbox stylists a nudge by adding your favorite pieces to your wishlist!

With my Rocksbox discounts and the member pricing (including the buy-all-three-items discount, my $15 worth of Forever Credit that I have on my account, and the $21.00 of Shine Credit (the membership fee for the month, which goes towards your purchases), that price drops to $152.00.
