Loved + Blessed “Perspective” May 2019 Review
Each box includes a theme card on the inside of the front lid of the box. This month’s theme is “Perspective”. How hard is it to keep things in perspective when you feel like everything is falling apart? This month’s theme is all about keeping what’s actually important in mind and understanding that our outlook has a significant impact on our ability to handle the things the world may throw at us. This card describes the theme in detail and is intended to be a keepsake and serve as a visual reminder to maintain perspective.
The information card further describes the theme of the box, list the type of items included, and their intended purpose. It encourages you to read more on the Loved + Blessed blog and invites you to fellowship with Loved + Blessed in their private Facebook group. It also highlights the charitable cause supported this month.
Mini Poster – Live Above Your Circumstances
This mini poster reads “Live above your circumstances” on the front and “There is PEACE above the storm” on the back. For me, living above my circumstances means that I can acknowledge the facts of any bad situation but also know that God is faithful, that He loves me, and that he has promised to provide all my needs. With this perspective, I remain hopeful despite my current storm because I know that God will and has always provided peace.
Reminder Sticker – Through His Eyes
The month's reminder sticker encourages use to see things "Through His Eyes". When we can regard every person and every situation through God's eyes, we maintain perspective and are able to live in the peace that God wants for us. So, that guy who cut you off in traffic and gave you the bird, he's also a child of God. God loves him! Maybe he's going through his own storm and struggling to keep things in perspective. I'll be honest in saying that this is something I really struggle with.
Reminder Gift – Passport Cover
At Loved + Blessed, reminders gifts are intended to serve as a reminder and reinforce the month's topic. This month's box includes a silver faux leather passport cover that reads "Selah". Selah has many interpretations. One is "to stop and reflect" and another is "peace". Both are applicable to this month's theme. We can change our perspective on a situation by stopping to reflect and see the bigger picture. In doing so, we can achieve peace within despite the troubles we may be going through. This wallet is cute and practical but isn't something that would be used often.
Encouragement Kit – Encouragement Cards and Kindness Pen
At Loved + Blessed, encouragement kits are meant to be shared to pass along encouragement to others and brighten their day. This month, a set of encouragement cards are included to pass along encourage to family and friends. Each of the 10 cards has a different emotion on the front and encouraging words with supporting scripture on the back. It is solid and biblical based advice for handling these tough emotions. As a person who struggles with finding the right words, these will come in handy. Also included is a green pen with black ink that reads "kindness". The tag attached says "thank you for your kindness and goodness towards me". I’ll enjoy sharing this with a good friend.

This verse encourages us to not allow life's challenges to distract from what's really important. This does not mean that we should just ignore the challenging things in our life but that we can look to God, His Word and His promises to change our attitude and outlook and give us the strength to face challenging situations.
Monthly Blog Post and Workbook
Each box includes a card (not pictured) that contains the information and password for accessing the monthly blog and workbook. This members-only content includes access to a library of resources, special events, and private sales. The blog further delves into the month's theme. The workbooks have been impressive. There is a lesson along with journaling prompts and activities for each week. I find a lot of value in this member exclusive content. It's often my favorite part of the box.
Private Facebook Group – Loved and Blessed Ladies
The private Facebook group offers a space to connect with other Loved + Blessed subscribers for fellowship and discussion. The Loved + Blessed founder Jamila often posts encouraging videos in the group which I enjoy.
The Verdict: I struggle with keeping things in perspective. I often feel weighed down and overwhelmed when life gets challenging. I found this month’s lesson to be encouraging and right on time! I think along with this lesson on perspective and practicing gratitude daily, I'll have the tools to see the bigger picture and find joy and peace during my storms.
Loved + Blessed boxes are so well thought-out and inspirational. I loved this month's theme and the items in the box – especially the encouragement cards. It's sometimes hard to find the right words of advice or encouragement. These cards will be very helpful. This box is only $19.99 and includes free shipping. It’s not an expensive box and it delivers a great deal of value to my life. I definitely think Loved + Blessed is worth the price.
