Now, on to the items!
KIKO The Double Zip Tote - Retail Value $150.00
I have been wanting a basic black leather tote for a while now, but I have never bit the bullet. I was really happy to discover I could select one this month. The leather is thick and beautiful, and though the tote itself is a very traditional tote shape, it features two zippered compartments for all of my smaller items that could easily get lost in the bottom of this generous bag. It also included an oversized dustbag for storage. This is perfect for tossing my camera and wallet into for summer afternoon brunches or day trips.
It is a pretty good size for everyday usage.
Kiko Leather Passport Holder - Retail Value $35.00
This passport holder is perfectly coordinated to my new tote. I don't usually have my passport with me, but still found this was a great little holder for business cards, shopping lists, and receipts. It is a really nice blend of felt and leather, and I like the clean styling very much.
NaturalAnnie Essentials Travel Candle - Retail Value $16.oo
(Subscribers could choose between this scent, Island Vibes, or Citrus Bliss.)
I was stuck between this scent and the Citrus Bliss, but the tea notes described in this scent won me over. It has a heady black tea base with semi-sweet berry scents and a bold rose. The ylang ylang was nearly non-existent to my nose, but I am fine with that as that note is very easy to get "wrong" in my opinion. The scent is romantic and a little sexy, and this travel candle burned evenly and brightly, with enough scent to easily fill my smaller office.
C Wonder Geo Neck Pillow - Listed Value $38.00
I feel like the listed value for this pillow is a little high, but perhaps it does beat airport prices when you find yourself desperate for one between flights. My husband and I will be driving home to Tennessee at the end of July for a quick vacation so I already stashed this in my car for him. I tend to do the majority of the driving (because I love it!) and he sleeps. I hate seeing his head flop around so this should totally help. It has a super soft cover in a black and white geometric print. The cover unzips for washing, which is great! It features brass snaps that did fit around my neck, but I think Will might be out of luck with that feature!
Ellen Tracy Travel Bottle Set - Listed Value $28.00
The products this month fit the "Jet Set" theme so well! This bottle set features enough bottles and pots for all of your beauty favorites. No need to rely on hotel shampoo! Also included are a funnel and spoon to help you fill them, which was very thoughtful. All of these bottles are TSA approved, so you need not worry about tossing your fave conditioner in the trash before those body scanners. They are all housed inside a vinyl and faux leather bag.
Rebel’s Refinery Skull Lip Balm - Retail Value $6.00
A little skull always seems to fit into the Happy Rebel aesthetic! This black plastic skull features a dome-shaped mint lip balm. Badasses need soft lips too!
Mai Couture Bamboo Charcoal Blotting Paper - Retail Value $10.00
Finally, our last item is a booklet with 60 pages of charcoal infused blotting paper. These little papers are lifesavers for longer trips, especially in gross warm planes or too long road trips. These are paraben-free, talc-free, and biodegradable!
Verdict: My box has a value of around $283.00, which is great for a $100 box. If you chose one of the other bag styles, your box would have a value of closer to $327! Honestly, since I was on the prowl for a black tote, the purse itself more than covered the $100 box cost, but the other items sure made this month sweeter. Everything was totally useable for me, and most even when I am not specifically traveling. The candle smelled amazing and the neck pillow arrived at a really optimal time for me, with our upcoming road trip plans. The passport holder has also proven useful, even sans passport. Of course, I never say no to quality lip balm and blotting papers, and the travel bottle kit is really smart, especially for someone like me who travels with a ton of different products. I am really happy with the value of this month and also how on-theme and well-curated everything was!
