I decided to try this sub because of the free box deal. Well I just got the box and it was nothing I was expecting. I assumed (my fault, I guess) that we would receive a past box for free. Instead, I received a small box clearly labeled “Gift”. Inside was a pair of socks, beard cream, and what I believe might be the world’s smallest tie pin (I really don’t know what it is; it’s just a tiny silver clip?). Being as I don’t have a beard, I pretty much received a free pair of socks and a glorified paperclip. Super-disappointed! They should just say “free gift with subscription” instead of “free box”. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I likely won’t be keeping this sub.

Wendy, there are some reviews of the “black boxes” that have been advertised as a bonus box, and they seem to be mostly a few small items. That’s why I am wondering whether this is a black box, or something different… does anyone at MSA have any info?
