100% Pure Blur Bamboo Powder, 0.2 oz - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $41.00

The packaging for this powder is one of those really cool inserts that has a stretchy mesh hole that the powder falls through, meaning this loose powder is much less messy than some others I have. Made of 100% bamboo silica, this is a really pure option for those of us out there who want a natural translucent powder that has a blur effect. Though this product is really nice and very effective at giving me that matte look, I don't really love silica formulas because my skin is very dry and these give it a weirdly "squeaky" finish.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick in 'Cacti', 0.15 oz - Retail Value $30.00

I am loving this lipstick. The color is exactly the type I love to wear: a muddy mauve with an overall pink feel. Though the formula is listed as a matte, I found it to actually be a super smooth satin texture that glided ontop my lips effortlessly. It also has this old school lipstick scent that reminds me of stealing my mom's lipsticks as a kid, but in the best way. The formula is very hydrating and is a nourishing base of cocoa and shea butters. The packaging is also pretty enough to be noteworthy and looks very chic in my purse.

Crème De La Crème Body Whip With Cinnamon Sugar & Shea Fruit, 60 g - Retail Value $15.99

Though I honestly feel this tub is really small to have a retail value of $15.99 (less than the listed value of $21.99) it smells INCREDIBLE. It is an amazing mix of cinnamon, fruit, and sugars but manages to not feel like a holiday scent or too "foody". I don't actually like food scents at all, so I was so shocked by how much I loved this comforting scent. The formula itself is a luxurious blend of avocado oil, shea butter, apricot kernel oil, and cocoa seed butter. A+.

Angie's Boom Chica Pop Pop Corn, 1 oz - Retail Value $1.29

This sub usually sends along some sort of tasty treat, and this month we received a snack that I actually already know and love. This popcorn is that perfect blend of sweet and salty and can already frequently be found in my pantry with regularity!

Alka-White Mouthwash Pieces Kit - Listed Value $9.99 (Buy a full kit here for $19.99)

I have gotten this kit in a box before and I am admittedly not very into it. I actually have a ton of teeth issues and I use a prescription mouthwash, so I am pretty unlikely to change my routine. I did, however, try one of these tablets and I can safely say that the taste is pretty terrible! The whole point here is a natural way to whiten your teeth if you brush with the tablet and also promote an alkaline balance in your mouth which helps with overall oral health and keeps the enamel of your teeth stronger. This is likely an amazing product, but just isn't for me personally.

VIP Box Item: Neelu Kaur Essential Oil Blend in 'Shakti', 8 ml - Retail Value $35.00 (found here for $15.00)

This VIP item feels like of lackluster compared to last month's $75 serum. I was spoiled!! This is one of three blends that you could have received this month. Ours is the 'Shakti' blend and has notes of rosemary, tulsi, eucalyptus, juniper, coriander, and geranium. It is a really lovely and energizing blend that would be perfect for tossing into your purse and taking a little EO energy on the go.

Verdict: Love Goodly was a mixed bag for me this month. The bamboo powder was pretty interesting, and the packaging totally tapped into that packaging nerd I have inside. I sadly won't be using it though. The lipstick and cream were both exceptional and were the two standout items for me personally this round. The tooth kit is just not my thing at all and I don't think I can think of anyone to gift it to. The oil roller was a great blend, but for the VIP item, I thought there would be a little more. Though I had to adjust some of the listed values on the items, I am guessing the overall value for this box is around $133.27 (counting the VIP bonus product), which is a good value for a $48.95 box.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I’d love to see a picture of the mesh in the powder, as I can’t envision what you’re talking about…

There wasn’t really a great way to photograph it sadly, but basically, the inside is a plastic piece with a hole over the powder itself. The hole has a stretch flexible mesh across it which allows the powder to come out in bits instead of a messy all at once sort of thing. I hope that helps explain! 🙂

Thanks! I just keep seeing a piece of pantyhose across a jar…

I love the powder and the lipstick, which both made the box worth the price for me. I also loved the body lotion, but unfortunately, I am extremely allergic to it. So warning to anyone with sensitive skin: it might not be for you.

Good callout Tracy! Sorry it wasn’t useable. Did you get the same color lipstick?

I don’t love the bamboo powder either, but it’s nice to have for full out makeup days! The lipstick (I chose sahara) is my favorite! So nice. And a student told me it’s a super trendy lip color in China and that she hasn’t been able to find it here so that was fun.
I’m allergic to oat, and was bummed not to use the cream but I give it away! And I haven’t brought myself to try the weird tooth tablets yet.
I saw a box on Instagram which said it was regular not VIP which had another item. But since that item isn’t in your box either I guess it was a fluke or little extra. Maybe the Instagram account holder is a long time member!
Anyway, the lipstick covers the cost of the box since I had a coupon code. And I’m happy!

I just looked up the Sahara color and I LOVE it! So cool that your student gave you more info on that shade/trend. I now really want it to!
