Now, on to the items!
Flower Mill Balm Shell Facial Cleansing Balm, 2 oz – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $42.00
This stuff smells amazing. In fact, the whole box did. It hit me right in the face when I opened it. This cleansing balm is meant to be rubbed into your face and its blend of skin-loving oils remove all traces of make-up from your skin. After you rub the formula in, you wipe it off, then either wash your face with warm water or leave it as is if you need some overnight hydration. This formula has a blend of rosehip seed oil, lavender oil, and neroli. Since my skin is super dry, I used it to remove my makeup then left the excess on my skin for a velvety feeling face in the morning.
Zatik Gratitude Face Serum, 1 fl oz – Retail Value $32.00
I have tried a few things from this brand and I like it, so I was excited to get this serum. It is formulated with wild-harvested Oregon algae and a super blend of oils and fatty acids. You apply it in the AM and PM before your moisturizer. I did notice that it was hydrating, though my dry skin needs more than this formula can provide so if you have similar skin, follow up with your fave cream for sure. This serum is vegan, non-GMO, gluten, soy, and alcohol-free, and certified organic.
Aisling Organics Dual-sided Brush #389 – Retail Value $20.00
I like this little eyeshadow brush with its dual-ended design. It gives me more flexibility with eyeshadow application and is very travel-friendly. I also have started using eyeshadow brushes for detailed highlighter application, so I am considering devoting this little one specifically to my highlighters. If you plan on keeping this for eyeshadows, you will love the oval shaped packing end for its ability to apply shadows to your lids with control and precision, while the fluffier end blends to perfection.
Fine and Raw 70% Cocoa Chocolate Bar, 1 oz – Buy 2 oz for $8.50
I love chocolate, and I like… really needed some today. This bar came at the perfect time! This is a vegan chocolate bar, sweetened with coconut sugar. It also was embossed with such a pretty design on the chocolate squares themselves.
VIP Box Item: Flower Mill Vitamin C Facial Serum, 1.0 oz – Retail Value $75.00
I love the balm from before in this review, so I am so excited to get serum from the same company. This vitamin C oil smells incredible, just like the balm. It absorbs quickly into my skin and leaves a little of the pretty smell behind. Vitamin C is really great for your skin because it promotes collagen production and defends against those aging free radicals that suck the brightness and moisture from your skin. If you don’t love the idea of putting oil directly on your face you can always try a few drops mixed in with your favorite moisturizer.
Verdict: Love Goodly was full of floral skin-loving awesomeness this month! I absolutely loved both the Flower Mill serum and the cleansing balm. I will be keeping an eye on this brand. The Zatik face serum was a great addition, and though I need just a little more hydration from my products, I plan on gifting it to someone with less dry skin. The shadow brush didn’t really coordinate with anything else in the box but was still a solid addition that I can certainly put to good use. You will never hear me complain about chocolate in a box, and this vegan bar was tasty! The overall value for this box is around $173.25 (counting the VIP bonus product), which is an exceptional value for a $48.95 box.
