How does Frank And Oak work?

When you first sign up for this subscription, you fill out a style profile that captures your sizing preferences and your sense of style. (Choose from Casual, Classic, and Creative). You’ll also be able to set a budget for different types of clothing that could be included.

Before your box ships, you get an email inviting you to hop in and preview your order. The page that opens up shows you the items that have been selected for you. You can switch out the chosen items for others on this page if you desire. The plan includes three items, but you can choose more or less than three if you’d like. The prices are all discounted for you, so it’s a deal compared to just shopping the regular site.

Frank And Oak Style Plan for Men May 2019 Review

Here’s the invoice for the three pieces John picked, plus the return instructions. (If you didn’t know before, Frank And Oak is a Canadian company, which explains all the French you’ll see on their packaging and paperwork!)

Classic Soft-Checked Denim Shirt in Blue, L – Retail Price $79.50, Member Price $69.50

John ended up switching out his selections this month. The first item he switched for is this super-soft chambray shirt. He wasn’t sure if a long-sleeve shirt would be a good choice for summer, but it turns out that it’s perfect to wear out to nice dinners and parties in the heat. He can roll the sleeves up for a casual look and the thin, breathable cotton keeps him cool. I like how the plaid is subtle and monotone.

The Newport Chino Short in Caribou, 34 – Retail Price $69.50, Member Price $59.50

If you’ve read any of our reviews for John’s Frank And Oak packages before, you know that he loves his Newport Chinos. He was thrilled to have a pair of Newport shorts as one of his options this month. They fit him just as well as the pants through the hip and thighs and – bonus – we don’t have to hem them! They are comfortable and slightly stretchy thanks to 3% spandex and are a super versatile shade for summer. We are always impressed with the quality of Frank And Oak’s clothes too!

Short-Sleeved Cotton-Linen Shirt in Light Lavender, L – Retail Price $59.50, Member Price $49.50

The third pick for John this month is this lavender short sleeve button up. I like this so much better than just a t-shirt for the hot months because it makes John look pulled together in a snap. The 82% cotton and 18% linen is cool and comfortable, although a little wrinkly, and the color pairs perfectly with his new shorts.

The Verdict: Since John started receiving Frank and Oak’s style plan, his wardrobe has not only improved in style but also in fit and quality. He likes the fabrics, colors, and comfort factor of Frank and Oak. And, they work hard to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. He’s a fan of everything this month but especially loves his new Newport Chino Shorts since they fit him just as well as the pant version. The price vs. quality is awesome and we’ve had positive experiences with the Frank and Oak Customer Service when we have had questions.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each box is customized based on your style plan. Under the $25 styling fee plan, boxes ship automatically on the 1st of the month, and you can log in 2 days before shipment to add or remove items or skip the month altogether. That said, you can still follow the product links above to shop these items for yourself from their site catalog!

Value Breakdown: The regular retail price of these four items is $208.50. Because John is a member, he got these items for a total of $178.50 which is about a 14% savings. Since he is keeping at least one item, the $25 styling fee was waived.
