Unique Vintage March 2019 Review
Sometimes the package has a card in it, but this month it did not. You never quite know what you’re going to get with this subscription. It could be a party dress or one that you could wear to work. Let’s see what I got this month!
Once again, I opened the package and fell in love with the fabric. I like colorful clothing, though!
I will say, this fabric has no stretch at all and this one was a tight fit (possibly because I am trying to cram a medium waist into a small dress because a larger size would gape around the bust). My husband had to zip me up, although I technically *could* fully inflate my lungs.
Although it’s not obvious in the pictures, the straps were adjustable, so I could make them way shorter since straps (in bras, in dresses, in camisoles, etc.) are often too long for me. They were adjustable over a fairly wide length range and stayed in place once adjusted.
Here is a picture of the back.
This is more of a party or fun dress than a work-appropriate dress. You will get a mixture of both with this subscription. But if you have any fun spring/summer activities coming up (weddings, vacations, etc.), this subscription is an economical (if somewhat chancy) way of filling out your wardrobe. This one should work without a petticoat if you don’t have one or don’t want to wear one, too.
Just to be clear, these are vintage style dresses, not actual vintage dresses, and the subscription covers sizes XS to 4X, with everyone getting the same dress.
Verdict: The dress I received has a retail price of $98, which is a good value for this subscription at $41 over the cost of the dress plus shipping. The style is fun but not particularly practical. If you have outdoor events lined up for summertime, I can see this being a great option, with or without the petticoat.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, all boxes ship out at the same time of the month so it’s too late to get the March shipment. However, if you like the dress, you can order it from the link above. (Sign up for their email list; they have coupons and sales every now and then.)
Value Breakdown: This subscription costs $57 if you include shipping and you get one dress. Tax may also be charged now but that will vary by location.
