What Is Le Tote?

If you're not familiar with Le Tote, they're a clothing rental service that allows you to wear and hang on to clothing and accessories as long as you'd like with no commitment to buy them (although you will be charged each month, regardless of if you send your tote back to get a new one or not). If you do happen to fall in love with something, you can purchase it at a discounted rate (and I'll mention that they also have further "tote sales" at times). They offer regular and maternity subscriptions in several levels from 8-15 pieces at a time. You don't have a stylist, but their system will suggest items based on a series of questions when you first sign up and you'll also have full control to swap out anything you don't like before it ships. I usually choose ALL of my items, but Le Tote has made a few good suggestions that I've kept in the tote.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

How Le Tote Works

If you're curious as to how the signup process works, I wrote a more in-depth article in October when I received my first delivery and walked through every step of the way. If you're new to Le Tote, that's a great place to start! I also wrote some tips on how to get the sizing right, and how to style your items with your existing wardrobe.

You'll receive a personalized pamphlet with your clothes.

Inside, it goes over what's in your tote and all of the prices. There's often an additional tote sale price marked in red.

You'll also receive a pre-paid mailer to return any of the clothing and accessories you don't end up purchasing.

They've also included a $50 gift card to get $25 off your first two deliveries from Hello Fresh.

This Month's Le Tote Clothing & Accessories

In the past, I've used Le Tote to try new styles or fill holes in my wardrobe I think I should own. This time, I decided to keep it real and that means, keep it casual. That is how I roll and I'm just going to lean into it this month. I still got a dress since I feel like it's a good thing to add, but this one seems very "me".

The tote package I have includes three accessories. If you choose jewelry pieces, they'll come in their own baggies and this time they came in a Le Tote branded box. That's new!

French Connection Hammered Hinge Bangle in Gold - Retail Value $44.00 (Le Tote Price $36.00)

Bangles! I love them, you may notice. This one is on the wide side with a unique little cut out for flare. It also has a hammered texture to it which makes the gold color a little more dimensional. Plus, there's a hinge on one side where you can easily open it to get onto your wrist and let it snap back into place. I've been getting a decent bit of wear out of this since I think it gives a casual jeans a sweater look a bit of elevation. Big fan of this one!

Hayes Hammered Bracelet in Silver - Retail Value $24.00 (Le Tote Price $18.00)

Next, I chose yet another hammered piece, only this time in silver. It's a lot thinner than the other and just has an open side to slide onto your wrist but you can give it a slight bend to make it bigger or smaller. I think there is something about that hammered look that gives it a less polished look so that it is more wearable in everyday outfits and not just dressier items.

Gorjana Waverly Necklace in Gold - Retail Value $55.00 (Le Tote Price $44.00)

This might be my favorite accessory of the month. I love the simple gold wave design which almost echos the pattern on the top I'm wearing in the photo. Its delicate gold chain has three different loops to attach the clasp to so you can have a variation on length. I don't wear a ton of jewelry normally so I found this minimal piece to be easy to toss onto any top I'm wearing.

French Connection Turtleneck Sweater, size large - Retail Price $74.00 (Le Tote Price $60.00)

Ahhhh I love this sweater! I've been eyeing it on Le Tote for a while and finally decided to throw it in this month's tote even though I feared the pending Spring weather would squash my chances of wearing it. Here we are though, in April with temperatures that are still causing snow flurries. Dear Mother Nature: Thank you, I guess? This cream ripped sweater is oversized and comfy as heck and I simply love the puffed sleeves even though I was hesitant about them before trying it on. It can go tucked or untucked, but either way, it's super cozy and warm.

Levi's Mid Rise Distressed Boyfriend Jean, size 29 - Retail Value $59.00 (Le Tote Price $48.00)

No pun intended I am TORN on these jeans. It's tough for me to go out of my comfort zone and my comfort zone is still strongly seated in high waisted skinny jean territory. The rise is a lot lower than I've been wearing recently, and the legs are looser than my norm. I can't tell if these 29s are slightly too big or if it's just the loose fit. I like the holes in the knees and the bots of distress, but I'm also a little unsure about the length. They are borderline capris to me for some reason and I just wish they were a bit longer so I didn't feel like that. Looking at the photos above, I don't mind them at all though. I think I'll need more wears to really decide whether I like these.

Summer & Sage Colorful Stripe Sweater, size medium - Retail Value $66.00 (Le Tote Price $54.00)

Stripes. My go-to pattern. I thought these colors would be a nice pop for Spring but this sweater, in general, is right up my alley. The pink collar with contrasting blue cuffs is pretty cute and the fit is just right. I'm also really feeling the wide versus thin stripes and think it keeps things interesting. This top is soft and warm without being too heavy, so it's great for transitioning weather.

BCBGeneration Collared A-Line Dress, size medium - Retail Value $98.00 (Le Tote Price $82.00)

How adorable is this dress? I love the see-through long sleeves, the see-through panel on the chest, the cute collar, and the length of the skirt. All of it is just A+. It's fun overall without looking too much like it was made for a toddler. The fit is really good even though I may have been able to squeeze into a small. The length of the sleeves seemed a little long but looking at the site, the model has the same thing going on so it makes me feel better about it. This is a little too playful to wear anywhere super serious, but I think it is a nice casual dress to wear for drinks with friends or a light dress-up event.

Levi's Boyfriend Denim Jacket, size small - Retail Value $64.00 (Le Tote Price $56.00)

Jean jackets are pretty much my number one outfit staple. I have an older Levi's one I've had for years and is so worn-in and perfect. This one is a bit oversized and since it's new, a bit stiff. I like the light wash of it and the fact that there is room to layer things under it if need be. You can't really mess with Levi's quality for denim and since they've been around so long, I trust them to do what they do best. Happy to see this jacket available in Le Tote because it's the perfect Spring piece for cool casual customers.

AXS Open Back Tee, size large - Retail Value $46.00 (Le Tote Sale Price $20.00)

This is another top I've been stalking on Le Tote for a while. I love the 3-line pattern but I especially love cutouts on the back! I kind of threw this in my tote, not even making note of the size they auto-suggested. I would have never gone with a large top but this one really works in this respect. I can wear it with leggings like I've done in the photos, but have also rocked this with jeans and a french tuck. It is ridiculously comfortable and easy to wear. Definitely a fave this month!

SIXTEN Moto Detail Legging, size large - Retail Value $64.00 (Le Tote Price $54.00)

These leggings are kind of everything. I like the look of jeans with holes in the knees (as I mentioned above) and these leggings are like an intentional polished version of that. Each knee has a mesh layer against the skin with two fabric strips across that mimic three slits in the knee. Very cool and edgy! The back has a small zipper pocket if you need to take something with you on your workout but don't want to carry a bag. I'd easily wear these to run errands more frequently than I would to work out though. 😉 They're really soft and stretchy and fit wonderfully as well.

Verdict: My delivery from Le Tote this month was full of casual items that are very much like my everyday wardrobe so I know I'll get a lot of wear out of them. The turtleneck sweater, tee, jean jacket, leggings, and necklace were at the top of my faves list but I know all of these pieces will get worn. They all fit me well as I had confidence in their size suggestions and didn't stray.

That dress would be very cute without the purple and red additions.

I honestly thought she had a shirt on under it…
