Upon subscribing, you'll take a "style survey," so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wish list. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist. I've been leaving my list empty so that Rocksbox can do all the picking for me.

Dusk Venus Studs - Listed Value $55.00, Member Price $46.00

I really adore these cute little studs. I adore opal jewelry, and these are a great shape to wear as your main earring or layer if you have multiple piercings. Though they are small, the flash itself is really bright and colorful! They are plated in a bright 14K gold which complements the multicolored opals beautifully.

Sophie Harper Domed Heart Necklace with Pave Stones - Listed Value $60.00, Member Price $51.00

This little gold necklace is really not my style, but it sure is cute! The little pave stones are very lively and seem to be well set into the metal. The chain is adjustable, and above I am wearing it on its longest setting. It is a really lovely layering piece but works very well on its own. I like the bright gold-toned metal and the choice of clear crystal, as I feel like a colored stone might have felt a little young for me.

Perry Street Lyla Hoops in Pink and Lilac - Listed Value $45.00, Member Price $38.00

This acrylic/tortoise trend has been happening for a while now, and it shows no sign of stopping due to creative color combos like these hoops in pink and lilac. A sub like this is the perfect way to try out this trend. I am not usually a hoop wearer but even I was won over by how lightweight and fun these are. The palette lends itself to a spring look and it is more playful than serious.

The Verdict: This was my first month of RocksBox and I really enjoyed it. The opal studs were by far my favorites, and the most in line with my overall jewelry aesthetic. I kind of want to keep them! The gold necklace is something I would have never picked out for myself, but I was surprised at how sophisticated a heart-themed necklace could be when paired with a more minimal top. The colorful hoops were really fun, and I plan on wearing them with a flowy ivory dress next week.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I’ve gotten 11 sets from this sub so far and I’m enjoying this subscription. It’s hit or miss but when I find pieces I like I end up loving them. I have bought 4-5 pieces so far that I loved. I opted out of the earrings but I have found cute rings and bracelets and a statement necklace that is unique. You can preview the set before they send it and have 24 hrs to swap the pieces out and pick the item you want instead. Being familiar with the website helps make the most of this sub.

I had tried Rocksbox and did not have a good experience with it. My friend talked me into doing the free month, so she would get the referral credit to pay for a pair of earrings she received and wanted to keep.

So I sign up, and fill out my wishlist. When they pick out ml the options for my box, none of them are even the same style as anything I put on my wishlist. So I reluctantly received the box, thinking maybe I would like one of the pieces in person. The one necklace was okay, but that was it.

So I returned the box and attempted to contact them to cancel. I emailed first…. Nothing. So I called, and got a voicemail and never received a call back. Finally, I filled out their “contact us” form on their website, and left a very angry message about their service. At that point, I was very upset, and I was going to be even more upset if it wasn’t resolved by the time I was charged for another month. I never received a personal response back from them at that point, just a generic email saying that my subscription had been canceled.

I know there are a lot of people who enjoy their product, but I just did not have a good experience. I really wish there was another service similar, that had similar styles and quality of jewelry. I would definitely test it out, if I could find one.
