Now, on to the items!

Witch Lash Mascara, 12 ml – Retail Value $12.00

We got the travel size version of this product back in November, but I did like it so I am pleased to have a full size in my stash now too. This version seems a lot more waterproof though, which looks great on my lashes but is extra work to get off. The brush shape is my favorite, all dense bristles and not too big, meaning I can evenly coat each lash and still get into the corners. It also doesn’t seem to bother my contact lenses, which is a WIN!

Medusas Makeup March 2019 face mist Medusas Makeup March 2019 face mist back

Cucumber Facial Toner, 1 fl oz – Retail Value $12.95

This stuff was beyond refreshing. I can only imagine spritzing this in the summer after keeping it in the fridge! The smell of cucumbers is very fresh and strong and the mist itself is mainly aloe leaf juice and cucumber water, both of which are incredibly hydrating. I feel like this would be an amazing product to use for relief after sunburns. You can also use this day to day as a toner, or even just for a little energizing pick me up.

Disco Queen Lip Gloss in ‘Hot Stuff’, 0.20 fl oz – Retail Value $11.95

I have gotten Disco Queen glosses before and I really like the formula. They aren’t gritty, and they feel a little more sophisticated on then some other glittery glosses out there. This color looked really dark in the tube but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was more of a sheer color, which added a beautiful deep plum flush to my lips and some pretty blue-leaning glitter. This is one of those glosses you can easily toss in your purse and reapply without needing a mirror. It had a pleasant, sweet scent and is a great color for spring.

Eye Dust in ‘Comet’, 1.5 g – Retail Value $8.00

This color is so very pretty, but totally out of my comfort zone! A true mint color with a strong golden shimmer, this loose powder is very buildable, meaning I can try this shade out very lightly to get my feet wet. I feel like this sort of formula could also be blended with your cream highlighter for a cooler golden glow.

You can see how sheer the lip gloss is here, but the camera wasn’t able to really capture all the dimension of the glitter. The eye dust is pretty accurate, and you can see that halo of golden shine around the edges!

Verdict: This month’s Medusa’s Makeup box has a value of $44.90 which is awesome for a $16.95 beauty box. I will admit that the eye dust is a tough color for me personally, but I look forward to experimenting with it. I am pleased with the big tube of mascara and I adore the lip gloss alone or as a topper to a favorite lipstick. The cucumber toner is literally like breathing summer in and makes my skin feel so cool and refreshed. This sub always has a great value, and for being a less expensive cost, I highly recommend it if you love indie makeup and getting a monthly treat in the mail!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes. All orders are generally processed within 1-3 business days. You will receive the box month that you sign up in.

  • Mascara $4.53
  • Toner $4.89
  • Lip Gloss $4.51
  • Eye Dust $3.02

Alternatively, each item in this box has an average cost of $4.24.

What do you think of the Medusa’s Make-Up Beauty Box?

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Megan, your reviews are always spot on!!

  2. The eye dust looks great on your skin, you could use it on your eyes as an inner corner highlight or in your eyebrow arch for a brightening pop of color.

    • I think I am just scared of the color because I lean so natural! This is buildable, so I will absolutely give your inner eye suggestion a try <3

  3. Wow, not sure I can carry off that green either! ☺ It will be fun to play with it and try at least. If it won’t work for me, it will for my youngest. That toner sounds perfect for a hot Summer cool down.

I can’t wait to get my box! Thanks for the great review.

    • It is so pretty! I would have worn a color like that daily in my teens, but I am at that weird age now (32) where I feel like I don’t know how to wear bolder colors anymore. I will def. have to play around!

      • I would try it as a shimmer in the middle of my lid. I think it would pair nicely with Earth toned shades

  4. This is such a great box! I guess I’ll have to resubscribe. I’m a little on the older side so this sub is not always the best fit for me so I keep subscribing and unsubscrbing. It’s a good thing the reviews come out before it’s too late to get that month’s box! And it really is a great deal for four vegan products even if you only use one or two items from each box. I just give away or donate the items I feel are too young for me.

    • That is how I always feel about it too, even if there is one or two products that I don’t quite love, value is always there with the others! Thanks for reading Dani <3
