Girl-a-Tude Box March 2019 "Lucky To Be Me" Review

Included in our box were two notes for my four-year-old daughter. The first was a welcome note that had Liv's name handwritten on the outside. This is meant to feel like a peer-to-peer note that welcomed her to Girl-a-Tude and was signed by G-girl. The green note described our theme for the month which is "Lucky to be Me." I love this positive message and how they tied it into St. Patrick's Day. They also gave us a hint for next month's theme, "it happens when the sun shines," which my daughter and I had fun brainstorming about.

"Lucky to Be Me" T-shirt

Our t-shirt design features a large clover with the words "Lucky to be Me!" in the middle. The inside is filled with various shades of green dots which the note likened to being just like your family, "each one is a little different, but together they make a great picture." I thought it was great that this shirt had meaning and can inspire your girl to feel confident while wearing it.

My daughter is in between sizes so we opted for the Youth Small which is a 6-8 so it is a little big on her, but I never mind larger t-shirts since she can always grow into them. This shirt is actually a nicer quality than your average cotton tee made from 100% polyester and it didn't shrink (at least not noticeably) after washing and drying. It is very soft and comfortable, although the white is a tad sheer. Luckily she is young enough that she doesn't have to worry about that just yet!

Owl Sunglasses - Buy 3 pairs for $9.98

The next item in our box went perfectly with our shirt! These green kids sunglasses come in their own matching microfiber carrying case and feature clear lenses. I was sort of confused by this at first, but apparently, the clear lenses can still protect from UVA and UVB rays. They are basic plastic frames, but they seem pretty sturdy and not too flimsy, so I think these will last...until we inevitably lose them, of course!

They are recommended for ages 3-10, and I thought these fit her pretty perfectly, and might even be a tad big. We opted for some silly faces to showcase these! They are cute and fun and I'm anxious to see how she likes wearing them outside once the sun comes back around.

Shamrock Tattoos

The last few items came in this festive green mesh bag. We received six shamrock tattoos which go nicely with our theme.

Personalized Zipper Tag

The last item was this personalized metal zipper tag. I think it's so cool that they used the same clover from the tee design and added her name. This little extra bit of personalization really makes this box unique!

Verdict: I love the mission of Girl-a-Tude as I think it's so important to teach girls that their worth is not determined by their physical appearance. This month's theme of "Lucky to be Me" was a perfect way to inspire confidence by celebrating her uniqueness while also keeping it seasonally relevant. My daughter loved the items and I thought it was great that one of the items was even personalized with her name. This was only our first box, so I am eager to see what other types of items they include in the future! I love that this box is instilling confidence at such a young age so that hopefully girls can form healthy habits of appreciating themselves early on!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

This looks like a great sub for a girl! Thank you so much for reviewing it. My only concern, which you mentioned briefly, is that the inside label is clearly visible in the photo where the shirt is lying flat on a surface. See-through! Yikes.

I like the mission of the box and getting tees every month for my daughter. They really impressed me with the personalized zipper tag though. I wonder if something personalized will come every month. Id for sure sub if they do so I will be keeping an eye on this one.
