March 2019 BuddhiBox Essential Oils Box Review
BuddhiBox always includes a card with a mantra or saying on it. On the reverse is this month's packing list. Most of the products they include are cruelty-free, organic, vegan, or more than one!
The Dreaming Yogi Meditation Access — Listed Retail Value $10.00
Included this month is a small card with a link to meditation led by Meli, the Dreaming Yogi. The mediation is a little over 5 minutes long, so it is short enough to fit into your day but long enough to be meaningful.
Nature Derived Nourishing Hair Oil, 2 fl oz - Retail Value $15.00, Listed Value $20.00
This oil is meant to be massaged into your scalp and then slept in overnight. You then wash it out in the morning and it should help combat pesky dandruff, frizz, and itchiness. It does sound rather messy, so use a pillowcase that maybe you don't care too much about.. I have pretty textured hair, but my scalp is great, so while I don't see myself using this on my head, I was happy to read that it also makes a great body oil! It has all those skin loving heavy hitters: argan, jojoba, olive, hemp, and sweet almond oil. I added a few drops of essential oils to give this unscented oil a lovely fragrance.
Healing Stone — Listed Value $5.00
The listed value on this one seems inflated to me for a smaller stone and I was a little disappointed that the product card didn't call out what type of stone this is, but I am pretty sure it is Unakite, a stone known for promoting feelings of love and happiness. It is also so pretty to look at, with its mix of spring greens and tan pink
HEM Cone Incense - Retail Value $4.75, Listed Value $5.00
I will never complain about getting incense in a box because we use a ton of it at my house. This batch is cone style, and the box contains a helpful little dish for you to place under the cone. The smell is pure Frankincense, which is woody, dark, and a little sexy. I love burning moody scents like this at night before bed, especially when I have some lavender candles burning to compliment their fragrance.
Kambaba Jasper Bracelet - Listed Value $26.00
Wee bit of value inflation on this one, in my opinion, but this bracelet is very cute and pretty. Kambaba Jasper is a tranquility stone, and who couldn't use more tranquility in their life? The stones are around 4mm and the bracelet is stretchy and very petite. It would make an excellent addition to your wrist alone or joined with your other favorite stackers.
Rukhi Tea Bags - Buy a box of 15 for $5.49
I love a tulsi tea, and these are extra vibrant with the addition of coriander and ginger. They have a little kick to them! I loved this tea with a splash of almond milk and just a touch of raw sugar.
The Verdict: BuddhiBox Essential Oil Box was really nice this month! I loved the little bracelet and incense cones, and the tea was delicious. The hair oil won't be used on my head, but my legs always love superpower oil blends. I never complain about adding another crystal to my collection, and this month's Unakite is beautiful, even if it is a wee little one. Value this month was hard to quantify, especially since the bracelet was the big ticket item and the listed value is high IMO. I still think you absolutely get your money's worth from this $17 box.
To Wrap Up:
Value Breakdown: This box costs $16.95 + free shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box (minus the meditation) has an average cost of $3.39.
