  1. I’m not happy at all about the delay. I mean fine, things happen and that’s out of their control BUT what about the boxes BoxyCharm gives away for PR/influencers? Are you trying to tell me the FREE boxes that some received prior to March made it to their recipients without a hitch and yet the faithful PAYING (6 to 12 month prepaid) customers are somehow delayed? What’s wrong with this picture? And now I’m hearing that recipients aren’t even receiving the right colors according to their profile questionnaire? Regular and Luxe customers.

    The conspiracy theorist in me is saying that they’ve run out of product because they gave it all away for FREE, and/or they had to take from the regular boxes to fulfill the luxe boxes and now we have no choice but to wait.

    Boxycharm is a great subscription box, however, you can’t treat your paying customers like this. Make the PR people wait. I’ve already paid. PR does nothing for me now that I’ve committed and they’ve already got my money.

    • I completely agree with a lot of what others are saying, especially the part about not receiving the products to match my profile. I have redone my profile several times in hopes that maybe one day they would look at it and get it right. I’m blonde blue eyed medium to light medium skin tone and when they send products that aren’t even close to my profile then they end up being absolutely no good to me.. I even used to order 2 different subscriptions in hopes that one of the boxes would have the items that would fit my profile so I would have them to use.. So yes as a paying customer for years they need to get their stuff in order before they start losing customers.

    • Luxe subscribers have been affected as well. I agree, I am actually considering cancelling the luxe box because of the delay. I am fuming angry the free boxes got sent out and paying customers are not even getting shipping notices yet/ My box is now a week later than my usual date to get them.

      • I received the “late” email on the 9th saying I will receive tracking “next week”. It’s now the Friday the 15th and still no tracking number, no updates, nothing.

        I am in my second year subscription and never had this kind of issue before. At this point I wonder not only if I’ll receive my March box in March, I wonder if I’ll receive it at all. Usually when I receive my tracking number it takes another 10 days to get here.

        Happy 27th Anniversary to me! Once this 6-month sub is over I HIGHLY doubt I will every sub boxycharm again.

        Has anyone that received the late email gotten their box, tracking number, or status update?

  2. I’m medium tan more on the tan side and I got the light/med palette, I was upset at first but then i tried the contour on and it was the perfect color. I honestly believe the med/dark would have been to dark for me.

  4. I got an email saying my box would be late– I hope this means I’ll be one of the lucky ones not getting the wrong face palette, ha. Since my spoiler page said I’d get the Ofra lip, I hope I’m among the variation for the Appeal eyeshadow instead of the Manna Kadar mascara. Like, I love mascara, but something about that one doesn’t blow my skirt up. 😂

    I only just resubscribed with the Feb FOMO box, too, so it’s interesting to see what kind of issues people have with Boxycharm nowadays than they did two or so years ago when I was subbed before. 🤷

  5. Are they out of the coverfx? Bc I recieved an email saying my box was delayed. I didn’t even get a spoiler email, so I’m worried I’m gonna get the med to dark one. :/

    Kinda related… do u get the ipsy glam plus first and then the glam bag? Bc my glam bag shows in warehouse and I got the glam plus today. Is usually the other way around. Thanks.

  6. I got an email saying there is a shipping issue and my box will be late. One more issue to add to the pile this month 🙄

    • Ditto. A tracking number showed up in my FedEx acct on the 6th which is about when I got an email from them. Now the 9th it still hasn’t been picked up. I’m pretty sure I’ve always gotten my box by the end of the 2nd week

    • I got the same email, which is odd because I unsubscribed in December.

  7. I received my boxyluxe.. also received the wrong color Contour palette for the cover fix . Was sent an apology email for the mixup and charm points. Lol . I was told they could not send the right color palette for me because they were all out of my color so that’s why I got charm points.

    • Which one are they out of? I’m scared now. I just got an email from them saying that because of something beyond their control there was a delay in sending boxes out. And that I can expect to get tracking info next week. If they haven’t boxed mine yet I’m nervous I won’t get my shade. I’m so looking forward to the pallete!

      • I got the same email, also worried given that so many already have boxes and they said they didn’t have replacement palette for those with the wrong one. Are they out completely? I need my boxy fix

      • They’re out of both. It looks like they had more dark ones but currently nobody who has gotten the wrong one will get the right one.

      • I asked for the light/ med. And got the med/ dark

        • I also received the med/dark pallet and it is very dark. My profile is clearly marked fair. Plus, I got the dark brown Morphe eye shadow pallet. Two products that I will not be using. Very disappointed with this box.

      • I got the dark one as well, even though I’m fair complected. I never received an email apology from Boxycharm, but I did get them 4500 charms put into my account. I’m dissapointed because the palette looks really pretty. Trying to figure out if I can make some of it work of if I should try swapping/selling.

      • I was wondering the same thing. If they’re out, will some of us not be getting the palette at al? That would be a new low. But certainly not surprising.

        • I received the email delay notification also. Maybe the delay is to restock?

          • @apricot That’s what I’m hoping… I’ve been super pumped about getting this palette, so much so I’ve been ranting about it to my boyfriend since the first spoiler lol (Im obsessed with Cover Fx.) And now I’m seeing so many people say they’re getting the wrong shade. He thinks my email about them being late sounds like they’re restocking, but I think he’s just trying to cheer me up! I’ve been so happy with boxycharm so far so this would really be the first time I’ve been disappointed, but this palette is like the worst thing to disappoint me on! :,( It sounds like we won’t know what we’re getting until we get it *sigh*

    • I also got the dark fx and wanted the light.

      I’m usually okay with getting whatever comes because that’s part of the fun but to send out an item that represents a very significant part of the value of the box in a completely unusable color is really not good business practice.

      I gift lots of stuff to my friends and my cleaning lady but I would have liked to have had a usable item for the $45 value it theoretically represented – especially since the other items included the ridiculously priced MK mascara. Inquiring minds want to know where MK products are sold and who would be insane enough to spend $29 for her mascara – I could get Chanel or Lancome (two of my favorites) for about that price.

      And the Morphe palette (while not being expensive) also seems to have been chosen for someone who would want the dark fx since I think the colors are more for darker skin tones as was the Lippman nail polish which was brown toned.

      There is never anything I particularly want to use my charms to purchase so a credit in charms is really not offsetting the loss in value of receiving an unusable item.

  9. Hey Liz, my reveal email said I was getting the Ofra lippie in Monaco, which I guess means I’m getting the Appeal liquid eyeshadow. Do you (or anyone) know if it’s the gold color or will there be variations on the color? I’m just curious.

    And are they macarons or macaroons? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have always said macaroons.

    • I only learned this recently myself after a coworker said she was corrected by the staff of a French bakery, but macaroons are coconut cookies. Macarons are the colorful French cookies.

      • Thank you! I honestly had no idea they were separate types of cookies. You learn something new everyday. I think we called the coconut ones something different, but offhand I just can’t remember what.

    • Lol they’re macarons. Macaroons are totally different and nothing alike.

      • LOL Macaroons= delicious coconut cookies usually available during passover at any grocery store for $3 for a whole canister. Macarons= fancy colorful french cookies made with almond paste and expensive.
        Now i am hungry!

    • One person (from Youtube) got mascara with Monaco. I really want to get liquid eyeshadow but….. We don’t know which one come with Monaco now…… (><)

  10. Don’t people get tired of complaining about not getting every single thing they wanted in a box that is a great value?

  11. This is the first time in three years, Im seriously aggravated and disappointed in Boxycharm. I was one of the “few” who received the wrong Cover FX palette. I’m happy enough with the rest of the box, but that was a serious oversight on their behalf. Compensating Luxe people with 4500 charms (for a charm store that rarely has anything worthwhile) is really inadequate. Plus I need to pay shipping on anything I get from there.

    I am thinking that they need to be held accountable for this, and I should cancel on principle for this error – and their inadequate handling of it. Otherwise nothing will change. Now I find myself in the position that if I cancel on principle, I lose the compensation charms they awarded me for their error. I feel screwed either way.

    And that just makes me angrier.

  13. I think this is such a nice looking box!!! Though it has a very Valentine-y feel to it, I’m not complaining & the products seem to go with the feel of the theme! You know, I cancelled my Luxe (sighing😩 emoji), but actually I’m good with it🤷 & I’m pretty excited to get my reg box😁! I’m just hooked on skincare & love it when I get it from a brand that I enjoy! The many Wander Beauty products I was able to try, including the Mile High Club mascara was just used today & I’m loving it also! Really, really loving this box, BUT…here’s to HOPING I don’t get a(nother) red lippie🤞🤞🤞!!!!! 🤓🤗🤣

  15. I still haven’t gotten a reveal email. I cancelled last month, but was prepaid through March. I’m worried they won’t send my last box, anyone had any issues?

    • Can you still access your account online? If so, what does it say?

      • Yes, but there’s no info about my March box or past orders. It just looks like an inactive account. I should email them.

      • I’m not even canceled yet. I just told them I would be canceling. I’m still showing an “Active” subscription. My box was paid for on the 1st just like everyone else’s. But still no spoiler email, no response to my inquiry, no tracking number, and no box. I’ll wait until the end of the month I guess and if nothing has changed I’ll get my credit card company involved. It’s so ridiculous. I just want to make sure I’m getting the last box I paid for so I can cancel and move on with my life. While I’d love a tracking number, I’m willing to just settle for a simple yes or no. 🤷‍♀️

    • I’m in the same position. I had it out with them recently because I was lied to several times, falsely blamed for their mistake, etc. I haven’t even canceled yet but told them I planned to. I spent the rest of my points the other night when they finally had something available and I did worry they wouldn’t send it. But I didn’t think they’d not send me my monthly box that I already paid for. I ALWAYS get those spoiler emails, usually before most people. So when I didn’t get it the other night I emailed them. Of course they haven’t responded, not even an auto reply. They’re one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. Definitely the shadiest.

      • I emailed them to confirm that my last box was March and of course (!) I got my shipping email within 20 minutes. I feel silly, but at least now I know.

      • Also, I’m so sorry you had to deal with all of that. They have definitely taken a turn for the worst lately.

        • Thanks, Lori! I’m glad you had a better experience. They’ve grown too fast in my opinion, focusing most of their resources on online presence and promotion. They haven’t been vigilant enough about keeping old customers happy. They’re even driving new ones away, especially with misleading spoilers and not keeping their word about things. I think they will end up regretting it as more and more people flock to other boxes like Ipsy Plus (which isn’t even open to everyone yet). I definitely would’ve stayed with them if so many things hadn’t changed in the past year or so. They’re one of my very first sub boxes and the one I had subscribed to the longest. Julep, Birchbox, and Boxycharm were my first “dealers” that started my sub box addiction! 😄

    • Boxycharm doesn’t offer either usually, you might get a gift if you sign up during “better than Black Friday”, but that’s several months away.
      However, from the recent comments, it seems a lot of subscribers are canceling so the possibility of a future discount or gift seems a very slight more possible than usual.
