Switch Designer Jewelry Rental Review + 50% Off Coupon – February 2019
Switch is a jewelry rental service that lets you try out designer jewelry without the commitment. You pick your favorite pieces and try them out for as long as you want with a relatively small monthly fee.
This is a review of the 3 pieces at a time plan.
Switch also offers the option to purchase jewelry pieces at a discounted member price. For every month that you’re a member, you get a $10 credit that you can use towards the purchase of a piece of jewelry at the special member price.
Switch will always use USPS First Class mail to send your jewelry unless it weighs more than 1 pound. Each package comes with a prepaid USPS return label so you can leave your return for your mail carrier or drop it off at the post office if you’re the nervous type. Shipping is free both ways, and they just ask that you package it just as you received it to return to them. It’s important to save the mailer and packaging for your return.

Switch Subscription Box February 2019 Review
The order is contained in a sturdy black box, perfect for safe storage of these borrowed pieces.
The order is topped with a bunch of different info cards. The first explains how you should take care of your jewelry.
The next card provides instructions on what to do when you’re ready to switch.
The sent with love card explains that prior to receiving the jewelry, each piece has been cleaned and sanitized, had its authenticity guaranteed, as well as some other info about the subscription. Minor wear and tear is covered as well!
The final two inserts explain how you can refer a friend (for each friend you refer you get an additional $10 towards your membership) and how to purchase pieces if you fall in love with one of them.
When you activate your subscription, you get to select the pieces that you want to receive from their available inventory. They’ve also recently incorporated a “favoriting” function where you can star pieces for future selections!
Bvlgari Wide Leather Cuff (Cream) – Retail Value $500, Member Price $395
I’m in love with this neutral cuff! I think it looks great with a variety of outfits and have found myself reaching for it all month. It’s about 1.3” wide, which I think is great for a statement cuff. It’s lightweight and comfortable, and it’s 7” circumference fits nicely on my 6.25” wrist.
Chloe Geometric Cage Bracelet – Retail Value $450, Member Price $250
This cage bracelet by Chloe was another great find this month! Its yellow gold-tone is on point with current trends, and although it’s pretty sizeable at about ¾” wide – it’s fairly lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear. The circumference is listed at 6.25″, but I had no problem with it fitting on my wrist. I liked the hinge closure, but did find it a bit difficult to do 1 handed – but was ultimately able to do it myself without seeking help from my husband.
Jennifer Fisher Black Lip Ring (Size 7.25) – Retail Value $350, Member Price $265
I selected this ring because it’s out of my comfort zone, but a fun nod to valentine’s day! This ring is made of brass and coated with a chic black finish. I would never purchase this ring, but love that I have the option to select something this different (from my normal style) to try for a few weeks!
The Verdict: This month I selected 3 statement pieces. I was happy with the pieces, their condition, and their fit. I’ve said it before, but I love that I can borrow essentially unlimited (you can switch your pieces at any time and have 3 pieces out for $69/month) jewelry each month from luxury brands.
In this shipment, I tried out $1,300 of jewelry for $69 – which is about 5.3% of their retail value!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Pieces can get snatched up quickly, and the number of pieces they have per style varies. You may or may not see these pieces in their available inventory list – but you might just see something you like even more! This isn’t a “styled” subscription – meaning you can pick exactly what you want from the available list – it’s not selected for you based on an algorithm or your preferences.
Value Breakdown: These three pieces cost $69 to rent, which is a great deal if it works for your budget and needs. It’s pricier than Rocksbox (which offers mid-range designer jewelry) but less than Rent the Runway (which offers designer jewelry, accessories, and clothes, too). To rent just one piece per month is $29, so you’re saving about $6 per piece to go for the larger subscription.
The member price for all 3 of these pieces is $910 in total. At retail, they’d cost $1,300. Members get $10.00 to put towards a piece, so that’s $900 to buy everything, which is around a 30% discount.
