Nicely Noted February 2019 Valentine’s Day Review
Each month there is a cute note from Nicely Noted‘s founder, Perry. The theme this month is Valentine’s Day.
This card also has some info about the talented studios that our cards hail from.
Now, on to our cards!
I’m Nuts About You Card by The Grove Street Press – Retail Value $5.00
This card is charming without being super mushy. It would be a great choice for a friend who isn’t super into Valentine’s Day but you still want to send some snail mail love to. I really like the colors of the card, especially when paired with the brown kraft envelope.
Love You Card by Paper Bandit Press – Retail Value $5.00
This is such a simple and pretty card. I really like the bold red heart with its simple notion. When paired with the bright red envelope it makes the perfect statement of love for someone dear to you.
Hearts Card by Iron Curtain Press – Retail Value $6.00
These little hearts are so dainty and sweet. I really love the unexpected choice of a sunny yellow envelope to complement them. This is one of those anytime cards you could send to anyone important to you for really any reason, birthday, Valentine’s Day, or even just because.
Postage Stamps – Estimated Value $1.50
Nicely Noted package always comes with stamps to send along with your cards. I am thrilled to see my favorite stamp of all time included! The floral Love stamp is by Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co, who is one of my personal inspirations. She started out with her floral paintings in a small stationary line, and now has an incredible assortment of paper goods, accessories, and anything else you can think of. Keep following your dreams people. Someday you might have your very own stamp!
Verdict: Nicely Noted, as always, is adorable and charming. Each card chosen was much more sweet than sappy, which is a distinction I really appreciate for a month that contains the overly commercialized and polarizing holiday that is Valentine’s Day. Every card this month could also be sent out really any day during the year to express love and affection for someone close to your heart. I was especially pleased with the stamps this month too!

Value Breakdown: For $20, we got an estimated $17.50 worth of stamps and cards in terms of retail value. This sub’s retail value generally doesn’t exceed its cost, but it is often decently close. This is one of those subscriptions where curation and convenience make up the price difference for me personally. While it might not please the subscriber who is more focused on retail value, I always love getting it and it helps me have an assortment of truly unique and thoughtful cards and stamps easily at hand.
