Vinyl Moon Volume 39 Review
Volume 39 of Vinyl Moon was entitled “Face to Face”.
You’ll get this LP-sized information booklet. It’ll give you details about each artist and song you’re about to listen to – and gives you information about the graphic artist for the packaging.
Use this as a companion piece as you listen through the tracks.
Even better – you’ll now be emailed a digital copy of the mixtape to take on-the-go – this will arrive about a week or so after you receive your record.
This month’s gatefold had a ton of geometric shapes to it. The colors gave it a cool little sheen to it, too – it’s not my favorite from Vinyl Moon, but it’s pretty cool.
It came with these newspaper sheets featuring more and more artwork – this is pretty typical from Vinyl Moon, they strive to link up the musical artwork and the graphic artwork.
VIP Members get an exclusive color pressing – this is almost like a yellow/white tie-dye look.
This month’s mixtape was heavier on the electronic vibe – it wasn’t my favorite, but I did enjoy giving it a spin and a shot.
Verdict: It’s been a while since I haven’t been over-the-moon (pun intended) with Vinyl Moon. It really just came down to personal music preferences this month – part of discovery with these is being OK when you don’t get something right up your alley – you have to try! But, as per usual, the art pieces are still super cool and collectible.
