December 2018 Dapper Dog Box Review

The December delivery had that holiday touch - featuring two toys, two treats, and a bandana.

It comes with a few cards that talk about sharing your pup's box and details on a few items in your box.

Let's dig in!

Hot Cocoa Bandana - Value $20

What's better than a cup of warm cocoa while you're snowed in? Probably having your pup accompany you while wearing this.

This is a recent addition to Dapper Dog - they'll be sending out a bandana in each box, and it's one-size fits all.

For Buckles, we had to roll/fold the top half of the bandana until we found a decent looking length for him.

Zippy Paws Reindeer Toy - Value $5.99

The first of two toys is from Zippy Paws. It's part of their 'Colossal Buddies' toy line that features a super loud squeaker in each toy.

We were happy because it's the perfect size for Buckles - it was a definite keeper.

Mint Toy - Value $10 (from the card)

The second toy is a harder plush toy - it seems like the entire thing is a plastic squeaker.

This one is certainly not Buckles size - especially with the body of the toy being a bit more rigid, it was hard for him to play with it - it'll have to be gifted.

The Lazy Dog Cookie Co Mutt Mallows - Value $5.99

These smelled so good that I was prepared to try one myself - and honestly, it's all-natural so I think I would have liked it!

These are on the larger side for treats. Buckles does enjoy them - I basically tear them in half for his treats.

Puppy Cake Holiday Cookie Mix - Value $3.99

If you'd like to get more personal with your dog treats - you can make your own bone-shaped cookies with this Puppy Cake cookie mix. Has anyone made cookies for their pup?

Verdict: The inclusion of a bandana with every box is such a big win for us since we're pup parents who love a good dog outfit. If you like their bandanas, then the listed value is 2/3 of the way towards covering your box cost, too. Aside from the big toy, everything else was a good fit for Buckles.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Monthly cut-offs are the 20th of each month to get that month's box.

Eric how do you and Buckles feel this compares to Bark Box?

I really like the BarkBox toys (so does Buckles!) – they tend to come from the in-house Bark brand and are super playful and kind of intuitive (a lot of toys within the toy for when your dog tears it open). But, BarkBox doesn’t send bandanas – so if you’re looking for the combo of dog bandanas, toys, and treats – this is one of the best options for that.

Hope that helps!
