Gaia Collective MoonBox “Illuminate” Review December 2018
The first card MoonBox provides is a helpful survey that allows you to take a moment to write down your intentions this moon cycle, plan how to take action on said intentions and what to leave behind and learn from this phase.
The second insert describes the featured items included in the box, as well as instructions on how they should be used. It also gives a general overview of the major cosmic events happening this month. This month has a New Moon in Sagittarius and Mercury Retrograde reaches its end! This month’s Illumination theme reminds us that December is the darkest month of the year; however, this is a great time to incubation and hibernate, taking long moments to find our own inner light to share with others.
Cosmic Collage Moon Calendar
Each box comes with a colorful woven mat that acts as a lunar and astrological calendar for the month. The focus of this December mat is Sagittarius, an energetic and adventurous sign symbolized by the Archer. This vivid mat would look great hung up and used as a decorative calendar or as a respite for your new crystals.
Rare Earth Elements Agate Lantern
What a perfect find to bring on some literal illumination! Home goods are my favorite items to receive in boxes like this, and this nightlight is such a unique and colorful piece! It appears that Gaia Moonbox is sending out a variety of colors of this item, and I was lucky enough to get a purple one, my favorite! I couldn’t find an online retailer for this item (the site on the card didn’t work), but I did find this company’s Facebook page if you want to learn more about them.
From Molly With Love White Sage Smudge Spray, 1oz - Estimated Value $4.50 (Buy 4oz for $17.99 here)
Sage Smudge Spray will help clear negative and toxic energies all in a few spritzes! The quartz infused, ionized waters and rose/lemon essential oils increase the energy of sage, which is well known for its cleansing properties. This is a much easier alternative to burning sage, and I plan to mist my entire house very shortly! This spray arrived a little moist in the bag it came in, and the essential oils caused the label to peel up a little bit, but there was no damage done to anything in the box.
Sacred Elephant Incense Sticks, 10 sticks - Retail Value $6
Incense always reminds me of my first boyfriend’s house, and it takes me back to a much simpler time! This unique blend is much lighter than your average stick, smelling mostly of amber with just a hint of sweet saffron. This box contains 10 handcrafted, vegan sticks which contain zero chemicals and are scented with essential oils.
Bella Luna Lip Salve
Winter skin, lips, and nails have been bumming me out, and I am hoping this all-natural balm will throw some moisture my way! This Bella Luna salve is made with coconut and rosehip oil, shea butter and smells (and tastes) like lavender. This blend feels comfortable on my lips, and since there is beeswax in this blend, it seems to have some staying power.
Labradorite
I love how this stone receives light; its iridescence is quite mesmerizing! I could get lost in its blue glow, which might hopefully help in reaching a higher consciousness since that is, after all, what this stone is known to do.

Rough Tigers Eye
This stone is famous for helping to maintain balance and find harmony in one’s life. It also amplifies what effects quartz or other crystals may have on you, so this is a nifty little stone to have handy!
for grounding, good luck, and motivation, place on Root or Solar Plexus Chakra.
Brucite
I’ve never heard of Brucite, but I need all of the help I can get as far as will-power goes! It is also known to aid in decision-making and goal setting, which will be a fantastic help this holiday season.
for will-power and tenacity, place on Solar Plexus. Meditate with any of all on body or in left hand.
Quartz Point
I always welcome Quartz with open arms, since it is such a major source of clean energy, and it also will amplify what other crystals I surround myself with. It is a basic gem that every household should have and is a great starting point for anyone who has a blossoming interest in crystals.
the ultimate amplifier. Quartz is the timekeeper of the Earth and helps create connection with intention. Hold it nearby and/or place near any other stones to elevate their energy.
The Verdict: Gaia MoonBox's December theme of "Illumination" was a hit for me. This is my first Moonbox, and I was impressed by all of the unique finds and different categories of items sent out this month. My two favorite items this month were the From Molly With Love White Sage Smudge Spray and the Rare Earth Elements Agate Lantern, which will both be put to good use!
