Lavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Nerdy Not Dirty Goodnight Star Bath Bomb Front TopLavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Nerdy Not Dirty Goodnight Star Bath Bomb Back Top

Nerdy Not Dirty Goodnight Star Bath Bomb – Retail Value $6.50

This gorgeous purple bath bomb is scented with lovely notes of lavender, ylang-ylang, and tonika bean. It was a foamy fizzer that turned my bath water a light shade of purple, and watching it slowly dissolve was soothing after a long and stressful day.

Here it is in action. Bubbles are thanks to the next item from Soaring Suds.

Lavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Soaring Suds Honey Lavender Bubble Bar 1 TopLavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Soaring Suds Honey Lavender Bubble Bar 2 Top

Soaring Suds Honey Lavender Bubble Bar – Retail Value $6

This is a nice big bubble bar that creates enough bubbles for 2-3 baths! It crumbled easily and the scent of rose petals and lavender wrapped with honey and warm vanilla made for a relaxing scent that was perfect for sending me off to dreamland.

Lavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Soak + Unwind Sweet Dreams Whipped Scrub FrontLavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Soak + Unwind Sweet Dreams Whipped Scrub Top

Soak + Unwind Sweet Dreams Whipped Scrub, 4.5 oz – Estimated Value $7 (based on the same product and size in a different scent found here)

I have tried products from Soak + Unwind before, and their whipped scrubs are one of my favorites. They are so fluffy and soft, and the exfoliation isn’t too harsh on my skin. This has a dreamy scent blend of fresh cucumber and sage and is made with chamomile, lavender, and cedarwood essential oils.

Lavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Mama Bass Soap Dream Machine Fizzy Bath Milk Front TopLavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Mama Bass Soap Dream Machine Fizzy Bath Milk Back Top

Mama Bass Soap Dream Machine Fizzy Bath Milk

The Mama Bass Soap shop is currently closed until December 10, so I couldn't find out how much products from them usually cost. That's a bummer because I really loved the bath milk! As expected it turned my bath a light milky color, and it also had large glittery chunks of sea salt that dissolved and made the entire experience more fun. The scent was a lovely blend of lavender, vanilla, cotton candy, eucalyptus, and spearmint, and the coconut milk base was incredibly hydrating to my skin.

Spinster Sisters Soy Lotion Massage Candle, 3.5 oz – Retail Value $12.50

This candle is a multi-tasker! Not only can it fill your room with the delicate fragrance of Oatmeal milk and honey, but you can also use the wax as a lotion or massage oil! The candle base is a hydrating blend of jojoba oil and shea and cocoa butters and the candle is sulfate, phthalate, and paraben free.

Lavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Naturally Vain Sleepy Shower Steamer TopLavish Bath Box November 2018 “Dreamland” Review - Naturally Vain Sleepy Shower Steamer Back

Naturally Vain Sleepy Shower Steamer, 5 oz – Retail Value $5 ($7 CAD)

I love Naturally Vain! They are a great bath and body company and I find their products to be fun and affordable (check out my Naturally Vain bath bomb box reviews here). Shower steamers are such an underappreciated bath product- I absolutely love the sauna-like experience using one gives me, and this 5 oz one will last for my entire shower while filling my bathroom with the lovely scent of lavender.

The Verdict: Lavish Bath Box continues to be one of the best-curated subscription boxes out there, and I cannot recommend it enough if you love bath products! This months Dreamland theme was heavenly since I am a lover of lavender and use baths as part of my nighttime routine to fall asleep. While the retail value is never crazy (this month I calculated an estimated value of $37 for everything except the bath milk), the exclusive products and stellar curation always add extra value that makes this box a real treat to open and enjoy. Another aspect I really enjoy is being exposed to the different indie bath companies—I haven’t stepped foot into a Lush store ever since I discovered all of these wonderful companies through subscription boxes like this one.

Loved the bath milk! Was rather underwhelmed with the shower steamer though, could barely smell it in my shower and the dried lavender when wet looked like mouse turds lol😂

I get 6 sub boxes, one of which is Lavish. I love it, and you are right, no need for Lush with this box every month.
I love supporting small businesses, and find the unique items are just the coolest ever. This one of my favorite boxes, I habe cheated in the past amd tried other bath boxes, nope big mistake! The quality and curatuon was not there at all. I am a lifelong subscriber (go broke or go home!) Lol!

This is one of my favorite boxes. I originally planned to only sub for a month or two but haven’t been able to make myself cancel. I am getting a little bit on product overload, but I like that it “forces” me to take more baths. Most of the items usually aren’t “Lush” quality but most of them are very good and the curation and themes are so outstanding.

This is my favorite review of a box I do not sub. I used to and loved the curation and products but found I never used them all within a month and my stash overflowed. I’m tempted to sub for December even though I don’t need it just as a treat to myself.
It’s true that the value of the box is usually what you pay for the box if you tried to buy all the items separately the shipping would be super high.

I’m so glad you take so many baths so you can review all these great bath subs.

I’d love to see a comparison post between the different bath boxes, similar to the Ipsy vs play. They all look so good it’s hard to choose!

Darla P

There is no comparison really.

Really? Why do you say that, I’m so curious as Bath Bevy and Ahhh sugar sugar look really good too. I’m currently on the waitlist for ahhh sugar sugar but now I am peeking at this one too.

I always look forward to this box reviews of yours. I don’t have a bath tub (bay area housing…) but love the reviews!
