October 2018 Naturally Vain Bath Bomb Club “Ghost Hunting” Box” Review

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Info Card

Here is the info sheet for the box. Including an info sheet is new to the subscription, and it really helped with identifying the bath bombs. This month, the theme was Ghost Hunting!

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Ghostie Paked Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Ghostie Un-paked Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Ghostie Solution

Ghostie Bath Bomb

Ghostie is a mix of jasmine, spice, and citrus, and the end result was both calming while setting the spooky mood- the grey bath art this created fit perfectly with the name, and this would have been a great bath bomb to use before cuddling up to watch a scary movie.

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Night Vision Packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Night Vision Un-packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Night Vision Solutions

Night Vision Bath Bomb

Night Vision is a zesty mix of mandarin orange and orange flower. Not only do I love citrus, I think this made the prettiest bath art of the bunch. The swirls of electric lime green and yellow were fun to watch stream out of the bomb, and though the colors were vibrant there was no tub staining.

Naturally Vain October 2018 -Cursed Packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 -Cursed Un-packed Top

Cursed Bath Bomb

Cursed is a combination of tangy watermelon and sandalwood, and the resulting scent is both earthy and sweet. I can imagine the mix of red and orange will add to the grounding scent of the bath bomb to make a relaxing combination.

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Haunted House Packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Haunted House Un-packed Top

Haunted House Bath Bomb

Haunted House is scented with gardenia, champagne, apple, and jasmine, and the end result was a floral bath bomb with a touch of sweetness. I haven’t used this yet, but I imagine the purple and green will create some fun bath art!

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Spirit Aaura Packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Spirit Aaura Un-packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Spirit Aaura Solutions

Spirit Aura Bath Bomb

Spirit Aura is a soothing bath bomb made with creamy oatmeal, milk, honey, and almond. I found the scent to be mild and very relaxing, and the mix of lavender in the bath art this created was a fun nod to the aura theme of the bomb.

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Cold Spots Packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Cold Spots Un-packed Top

Naturally Vain October 2018 - Cold Spots Solution

Cold Spots Bath Bomb

Cold spots is scented with peppermint and sour apple, and I think the zesty peppermint was the perfect fit for this bath bomb! While it did arrive in two pieces, it still performed its job well. It turned my bath water a lovely ice blue, and the combination of peppermint and sour apple was refreshing. This bath bomb did stain slightly just around my drain, but it washed away with ease.

Verdict: I am in love with Naturally Vain and their affordable bath bomb subscription. All of the bath bombs are hefty and solid in size, and they create beautiful bath art while smelling great. The addition of the info sheet also helps to set the theme for the bath bombs each month, and I think that makes the experience more fun. My only complaint is that I wish more bubble wrap was used in the packaging because it is a long journey from Canada to Louisiana. Most of the bath bombs on the Naturally Vain site sell for between $5-$6, and I think that is an amazing price for the quality of bath bombs received. I know that MSA readers had been interested in a more affordable bath box, and I think this one fits the bill perfectly!

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? I don’t think so, but you can sign up for the November box here!

Coupon: Use Code LOVEYOURSELF for $10 CAD off your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $31 + $3.90 shipping ($39.99 CAD + $5 CAD shipping), which means that each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $5.82. That is such a good deal for the quality of the bath bombs, and the $10 off LOVEYOURSELF coupon makes the value even better!

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t go on pizza and when I’m not studying for law school I’m relaxing at home with my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like!
