Rise miniBOOM Wireless Speaker – Retail Value $57.42 (£44.99)

Admittedly when I opened this box I was a little underwhelmed by this little speaker. I feel like Bluetooth speakers are everywhere these days and I have bought a few that were purely lackluster with terrible sound quality and shoddy workmanship. I was surprised that Gadget Discovery chose to include an item that was so readily available. After opening the well-designed box I pressed the power button and was pleasantly surprised to discover it come charged. It was a straightforward process to tether it to my iPhone and within seconds I was ready to give this baby a shot. I actually interrupted a meeting fiddling with this LOUD little speaker. The volume it is capable of totally took me by surprise. The sound quality is way better than I would have ever expected from such a small speaker and it feels heavy and high quality in my hand. It lasts a really long time and the sound took up most of the first floor of my house. I also really appreciated the little loop lanyard it comes with because it makes it easy to travel with and less likely to lose.

The Verdict: I didn’t really know what to expect from this Gadget Discovery Club Box as it is new to us at My Subscription Addiction. I was very pleasantly surprised by the design and quality of this Bluetooth speaker. I am really happy with it!

For $29.99 and free shipping, I received a speaker with a $50+ value. I personally found it to be completely worth the cost because the gadget is high quality and I actually really needed one of these to take along on trips and blast music my husband hates throughout the house. Winning!

What do you think of the Gadget Discovery Club Box?

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Im looking to sign up and it says:
    Grab Your First Gadget
    – Motion Fitness Tracker Worth $40
    – Monthly Box Value Between $40 – $60
    – Limited Time Offer
So does that mean my 1st box (1/2 price item) will be a motion fitness tracker and I’ll be have to wait another month for a mystery item or is this some kind of bonus?

    • I am honestly not 100% sure. When I go to sign up to test this I am not shown anything about a fitness tracker.. would be a cook bonus though!

  2. This might be a good one to look into for gifts for my tech-savvy dad! I got him a Star Trek Loot Crate for his birthday last year but the months late shipping was crazy. He really liked it, but I don’t think he needs a lot of figurines and geeky decor as there is only so much room for him to put them up. But he loves interesting gadgets!

    • I really enjoyed that it was just one high quality thing instead of a bunch of random lesser items. I hope your dad enjoys it!

  3. I’m a gadget hound, so this sub is right up my alley! Though I’d like to see one more review before I sub. (And I’d also prefer to wait until after the holidays to get yet another sub for myself. Lol.)

In the meantime, I looked at their website. Two things are astonishing:

    1. Their terms of agreement are relatively short and easy to read and understand!

    2. THEY TAKE RETURNS, and not just of damaged merchandise!! If you don’t want what you received, you can return it, as long as you are willing to pay the shipping. That’s truly impressive!

Lastly, the help section of their site includes articles on using the “wireless charger” and “solar power bank” so I’m guessing those might have been items shipped in previous months.

If anyone else has experience with this sub I’d love to hear more about it.

    • I feel the same way. Commenting to subscribe to comments

    • This was our first time reviewing this box but hopefully the next ones have a solar power bank. I would LOVE that!
